According to the yahoo report, the total gross of Frozenis 17.68 billion yen, which means Mon to Thur is 600m Yen.The average ticket price has reached a new high-1461.This is amazing, coz Wed is discount day

How is 1461 possible when half the tickets sold this week were on ladies day which was also toho day. Did screen Dailey release a number? Something is off here.

The only possible explanation is that this week Frozen has attracted many seniors who pay 1900 and many males also watch movies on the ladies day. Of course, 3D dubbed also did some contribution.

That does seem high. What were the average ticket prices on weekdays for the weeks before this? Well, most of the tickets sold on Mon-Thur did come from adults. Maybe this week 3D share is much bigger? Or the discounted pre-release tickets are all used? I don't think it's wrong. There's just something we didn't know about.

Regarding this issue of decreases, sometimes it is due to exchange rates but sometimes he posts decreases even in the national currency, so I have no clue what is going on. He or his sources might count backwards sometimes, idk.e.g.Toy Story 3 in JapanTotal as of September 18–19, 2010: ¥10,791,686,065Total as of September 25–26, 2010: ¥10,659,750,457If any of you have any other explanation besides Subers's utter retardation, please enlighten me.

lol. The only explanation possible was that the dollar was taking a nose dive at the time (it was) and he had a studio number in dollars then converted them into less yen. Omg.Yen........A........S........O2010...85.41 ;84.31 81.80A 70 year old man with a 3rd grade education, A.D.D. and Alzheimer's could do better than this.the sole purpose of BOM is a database for BO totals. Whats the point if its going to have irrational totals.Could you imagine if subers worked at bank. You go to deposit $5342. 00 and he gives you a receipt for 5k because he thought rounding it down would save time. Edited by T E Lawrence

it has been 1500 average for M-T-Th-F, but 1200 on wed where 40% of the admissions are. Its a a round increase of 600m. I assume its an estimate. Could be high, reported by corpse's benevolent twin. :)

For a second consecutive week, ScreenDaily didn't report mid-week OS totals. I hate that they do this stuff without notice. And THR didn't have a weekend report on the Japanese box office. It's annoying when I have to depend exclusively on BOM for an "official" report.

It's a round number yes, so it might be an estimate. Or it's just the actual number that was rounded. Either way, it's all over the news and internet, so it's an official number.

Just wait for the weekend, you can count back then.

Shibuya is 80% sold for 4 shows on sat again. I wish I owned a piece of that theater.

Shibuya is one the most crowded areas in Tokyo but the screens in Toho are small with small capacity. I think that's why Frozen shows are always sold out in Toho Shibuya.
