Just been thinking about something, why hasn't Toho gotten another Gojira movie off the ground given how well Shin Gojira ended up doing?

Shin Godzilla (2014) - ¥8.25B (ATG at 69th)

They green-lighted three Godzilla Movies after 2014 "Shin Godzilla", however, they manage to make less than ¥500M in entire lifetime-run.

Currently, Anno is making a new Universe for Japanese Heroes, that brought Shin Godzilla (2014), Shin Evangelion (2021) , Shin Ultraman (2022), and finally Shin Kamen Rider (2023) under one Universe, naming it as "Shin Japan Heroes Universe

Since, Anno himself is working on this Universe, the success of each film is highly attributed to him, and you can see because of his involvement Ultraman Film Series got their 1st ¥1B, Shin Kamen Rider will also be successful. But, anything outside this universe is very doubtful to go with the same potential without his involvement.....

"Top Gun: Maverick Card" will be distributed to 300,000 visitors nationwide from 06/10. This is a great decision because from 06/10, Shin Ultraman will expand to 4D.

Function? Nope, it's for collection like mine (see spoiler). Giveaways are done to stable film run (to get repeated visitors and avoid hard drop) Indeed, Spiderman No Way Home had four giveaways that helps the film to reach ¥4.0B

Uma character is a collaboration. Like Conan and Marvel came together on 2019, to promote their film : Avengers Endgame X Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire across the Golden Week.

That's an excellent hold, how high do you think this can go?

¥10B will be the highest bid. But I am still thinking about a Conan level performance i.e. ¥7B-¥8B

Third Weekend will give us some hint as Dragon Ball Super will take away some of the IMAX screen and Shin Ultraman will talk away the 4D screen. But thanks to giveaway, I think we are likely to see a strong hold on it's third Weekend but but and but my present goal is to see if Tom Cruise can defeat his career peak record "The Last Samurai" (¥13.70B) or not.

As a point of reference, this weekend hold is thanks to the premium formats 😇

Conan level would still be awesome, been a long time since a US movie reached that level. What are we expecting for Dragon Ball?

I noticed that it's a 2-days Standard Weekend Opening, rather than 3-days Opening Week of Broly. I think a optimal opening of ¥700M+ should happen but would not be near that ¥1,449,364,300 3-days Opening Weekend of Dragon Ball Super Broly.
