Plain Old Tele Posted May 20, 2012 Share Posted May 20, 2012 Both STARSHIP TROOPERS and DEATH BECOMES HER had insanely good, revolutionary VFX (not to mention, DBH was extremely entertaining and a modest hit -- ignore the RT rating, it doesn't reflect how the movie was received at the time). Avatar was a slam dunk for visual effects, even its biggest haters admitted that. So far, Prometheus is the leading contender for visuals by far... though I think The Hobbit is likely gonna win. TA also had some excellent Visual Effects (the work on the Hulk was absolutely phenomenal!). I also think JC had fantastic visual effects, although not groundbreaking.
