So it looks like the Avengers total wkend and wdays #s are tracking pretty closely to the average of the week-on-week drops of IM,IM2,X2,SM&SM3 ever since the end of last weekend.

Day - ProjectionFromMarvelMayAvg - Actual

Mon - 8,466,752 - 7,923,789

Tue - 7,954,736 - 8,477,854

Wed - 6,506,971 - 6,339,757

Thurs - 5,923,169 - 6,208,368

Wkdays - 28,949,768 - 28,851,627

Day - ProjectionFromMarvelMayAvg - Actual

Fri - $14,903,994 - $16,820,987

Sat - $23,426,413 - $23,587,069

Sun - $17,317,013 - $15,236,046

Wkend - $55,647,420 - $55,644,102

I was hoping this weekend would improve 3.35% over the projection (i.e. to 57.5M total wkend) , as the last wkend made $103,052,274 after i projected it to make $99,707,157.

Your Friday and Sunday numbers are in reverse order :P

TA second-biggest 3rd weekend ever, by a wide margin:

1. Avatar:$68,490,688

2. The Avengers: $55,644,102

3. Spider-Man: $45,036,912

Funny that some will think of this as a "disappointment".

Well...on box office forums only. Every other place on the planet would be beyond impressed.

I guess Avatar's 4th weekend record ($50.3 mil) is safe, unless Avengers has an unprecedented boost on Memorial Day weekend. ;)

Seing SpiderMan so high in this chart a decade after his release makes me all emotional!

That Spidey number is damn impressive considering the film opened to 114m back then. How many films since then that opened higher can claim such a solid hold in its 3rd week?

It seems Spider-Man's 2nd to 4th wkends are unprecedented and unmatched among modern-era summer blockbusters in terms of holds. It held on to almost two-thirds of its audience from the week prior in each of those wkends.

Alright guys, time to let Jack's supposed revelation go. If you didn't realize what he was doing at the time then you're really only making yourself look bad by being mad at him. Otherwise, the ones who knew he had "nothing" should know better than to act like he was leading them on. Regardless of how you took what he said, it's time to let it go. It's truly a non-event and should stay that way.

You don't know JACK!

Don't ban me.
