MovieMan89
Does WOM kick in after a day?Usually not, it can though in this social media age. That could be even better for it though. Say WOM is mixed, it might not effect Saturday too bad. I'm very curious to see what it does Saturday. There's really no apples to apples comparison for it so I think we may be getting a bit ahead of ourselves by all assuming it will have some big drop tomorrow. Mojoguy
I believe that will make it one of the few blockbuster franchises with at least 3 movies to decrease with each installment.Well deserved. ONLY the first movie is great.
Dementeleus
I don't think it'll have a huge drop, but if it stays flat with Friday, it still drops with midnights.
lab276
Well deserved. ONLY the first movie is great. The third movie is great, it should go over $200m.
MovieMan89
I don't think it'll have a huge drop, but if it stays flat with Friday, it still drops with midnights. But the vast majority of movies don't stay flat with Friday, they increase unless they're the very frontloaded kind. I'm just saying why are we all necessarily assuming Prometheus fits into that category? What's the apples to apples comparison? Dementeleus
The vast majority of movies don't have midnight screenings either. PROM's $3.66 mids shows it's not totally front loaded, but there was still a rush and early demand, so it stands to reason that Saturday wouldn't do more than stay flat or, at best, increase just a touch but not enough to pass fri + mids. I'd love to be wrong though.
Olive
Audiences loved Madagascar 3 and gave it straight ‘A’ CinemaScores as usual. But they only bestowed a ‘B’ CinemaScore on Prometheus – and that could hurt word of mouth.

MovieMan89
This really could be a photo finish weekend if M3 doesn't have too big of a Sat increase.
Totem
Top 5 equates to 163m overall, if the next 5 films make 20m or so it will break the June weekend record.
