BOX OFFICE 5 DAYS : 3 - 7 december 2014 :

1/PADDINGTON : 517 170 (574 theaters) NEW

2/ASTERIX - LE DOMAINE DES DIEUX : 443 449 (696) -43% = 1 378 629 after 12 days

5/INTERSTELLAR : 121 417 (569) -42% = 2 349 339 after 5 week

Two family film french number one and two in France. Great box office for Paddington. Asterix is very good after 2 weeks and the holidays are coming.

La French is good. The french thriller with Jean Dujardin is good.

Hunger Games 3 with 2,6 million admissions is better than the second film (2,3 million).

Paris 14h - Admissions

The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug : 5 154

The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies : 4 718

The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey : 4 370

The proportion seems similar to the forecast posted in BotFA OS thread. In terms of $, it means a similar opening to AUJ.

Of course, but the best animation films for Astérix was only 2 415 230 admissions in France.

So, this Astérix will be the new best success for an Astérix in France.

After 3 weeks, Astérix 1 810 209 admissions.

After the holiday, Astérix could be between 3 and 4 millions admissions.

This is a great success.

Paddington is a great competition, but also Pinguins Madagascar.
