But a friend of mine told me he tried to buy tickets for this for the 9:30 PM show and it was already full for today. New Moon 7-day record is going down.

It is official: the portuguese OW record has fallen. BD2 sold 220.000 tickets over the weekend, making it the first movie to open over 200.000 tickets ever.

Impressive :) Portuguese-speaking regions like this, maybe the "telenovela effect" :P Edited by Fullbuster

Also in Poland the movie has set a record for its franchise with 420 000 admissions. It also established a new opening record for this year, beating Skyfall's result(390 461) from 4 weeks ago.BD 2 result is also way better than BD 1 opening number(334 223).In $, that's over 2mln opening but can't tell if it's gonna replace Skyfall's $ opening weekend. The current exchnage rate is far worse than couple of weeks ago, also most of those who saw Twilight are youngsters unlike Skyfall. The tickets are just more expensive for adults.

Brazil opened with 19mPhilippines with 4.4mbut with 15 biggest HwBb-marketsize correctionBrazil ........167.1mPhilippines..244.2m

That's because the philippines is a more frontloaded market. If you think about it in another way, BD2 easily broke the opening weekend record in Brazil, whereas in the Philippines it isn't even the biggest this year.

for BD1 the Philippines were relatively bigger and they still opened bigger for BD2, but in the end it could be Brazil this time
