John Marston
He didn't lead, he had a supporting role. Oblivion is getting good WoM in the UK, it will break out hopefully in Asia.Doing poorly in Korea which is a bad sign
A Marvel Fanboy
Should do 200M-plus total without big problems from current markets with a 60M debut. Assuming China + Japan adds another 50M combined, 250M OS should be doable/locked IMO. I am not ruling out high 200M or even 300M yet. A Marvel Fanboy
Even battleship opened 55M and ended 230M (170M excluding Japan+China). Battleship did 68M from Japan+China. OS OW/TOTAL multipliers: MI3 3.75x WOTW 3.5x Battleship 3.1x Edited April 14, 2013 by firedeep
SentryTrans
Universal should have made it in 3D. IMAX format isn't enough now.
SentryTrans
Without considering inflation, in Cruise's movies, Oblivion's performance in OS markets is acceptable.
SentryTrans
Doing poorly in Korea which is a bad sign Compared with Cruise's other movies, its perfomance in SK is in normal range. Edited April 14, 2013 by SentryTrans

A Marvel Fanboy
I am telling you, Oblivion is doing its way to 400M WW. It is hard to imagine you cast anyone else outside Tom Cruise and Will Smith in today's world in such an original hardcore sci-fi and still get to 400M WW. Actually, you dont. Take GIJ2 for example, which Oblivion is doing simialr numbers to, that one takes Bruce Willis + The Rock + Tatum + 30 years-old comics/cartons/toys + a pre-sequel + 3D + reshoots + two years Superbow exposures + Paramount marketing the shit out of it and then it can struggle its way to 400M.

A Marvel Fanboy
60M is also the fifth biggest OS OW debut for TC, behind WOTW (100M), MI3 (70M), MI4 (69M) and MI2. And 2nd best OS debut for a non-sequel Cruise movie only behind WOTW. Oblivion debuted overally stronger than MR, which went on to do 226M OS witout China.
