Oblivion OS thread

The general feedback is that the movie has a lot of positive points for mild recommendations. Things that stood out: the visuals, story & Tom Cruise. And yes, people seem to love Andrea more than Olga. But the studios know that this story-driven movie cannot compete with the juggernauts like IRON MAN 3 & MAN OF STEEL, plus May is fully booked by the Leo, Wolfpack & Diesel Gang. Will Smith has a scifi, Jason Bourne stars in a similar story in ELYSIUM. This summer is insane! Good move by Universal to move it out of the competition.

Tom Cruise's sci-fi pic Oblivion opened to $38.2 million at the domestic box office to come in No. 1 after a better-than-expected performance and despite a B- CinemaScore. Overseas, the Universal pic continued to please, grossing $33.7 million in its second weekend for an international cume of $112 million and worldwide total of $150.2 million.

solid 2nd weekend drop !

Seems 200M is out of reach from cureent markets (for IM3), more like 160M max.

With China and Japan to come plus 100M-plus DOM, 350M seems where it will get when all is said and done.

350m WW would be enough for a sequel.

Universal needs more series.

 that's about 10M less than what I guessed. Hopefully it gets there. Solid number I think
