zackzack
They can definitely cut the cost for sequel...G.I Joe did that and got bigger stars as well in the process...reduce the cost and get one or two box office draws. Paramount is the most financially responsible studio in the wake of JOHN CARTER, LONE RANGER, BATTLESHIP & PACRIM.
Godzilla
Paramount is the most financially responsible studio in the wake of JOHN CARTER, LONE RANGER, BATTLESHIP & PACRIM.Why didn't you include Golden Compass in that list or Prince of Persia. PR has a higher DOM Totsl than those films and it will soon have a higher WW total also. And this costs less than Prince of Persia........... Dilusha Bandara
Paramount is the most financially responsible studio in the wake of JOHN CARTER, LONE RANGER, BATTLESHIP & PACRIM. What? JC , TLR are Disney and PR is Legendary/WB, not Paramount!?!

CJohn
So is it official? It bombed in Japan? How are things going on Brazil and Spain?
Bishop54
How can it be determined if it bombed or not in Japan? I thought a film's box-office tends to unfold over a longer period than other markets.
druv10
So is it official? It bombed in Japan? How are things going on Brazil and Spain? lol, no. We don't even have OW number so how could it bomb?
A Marvel Fanboy
Bomb or not depends on how you define it. Some called 100M in Japan before release.
druv10
Bomb or not depends on how you define it. Some called 100M in Japan before release. Who said that? Japanese generally hate ripoffs and especially ones from their country so 25-30M is a very good total. Also, China has more than made up with 100M and sequel could potentially make 150 maybe 200M there so Legendary has impetus for sequel for PR.

CJohn
I didn't said the movie bombed in Japan. I just asked if it did or not. Since apparently we don't have any OS numbers from this weekend yet, I will wait.
