fmpro
Disappointing performance. Not even 650m WW, less than most expected. I am a little disapointed also, 650 mill is not dead yet. By Sun/Mon it will be clear if it has a chance or not. If TG and Xmas is good to Thor it could go as high as 210-212 mill before it closes. That only leaves 440 mill OS with hopefully 8-10 mill comming from Japan. Then it has to do 49 mill more excluding Japan comming from a 50 mill week. Its still possible. But lets see in 4-5 days

Ent
I think it will hold well till Hobbit WW now. Yes, Hobbit2 will hit hard all the movies on its way bar animate. I was looking at the Hobbit1 overseas number and the specific results country by country are mindblogging from one market to the other, from small markets to big. If The Hobbit1 could reach around and over $80M in both Germany and the UK, $40+M in 4 big markets like France, Australia, China and Russia...hell, $30M in Spain, 20M in Italy and Sweeden and go great in small countries like Belgium ($8+M)...imagine how lethal its successor could end up ? It has the potential to replicate and rise a little bit everywhere while breaking through in China or Japan to reach the likes of $800+M. Those German and UK numbers are mindblogging. Everything released in those countries will be hit hard. TH2 will crush everything on its way overseas and cruise into the hollydays as the absolute favourite.

It's strange calling the Hobbit numbers in the UK mind boggling, when at the time it was completely overshadowed by Skyfall (which really was mind boggling).
zackzack
HOBBIT2 doesn't really matter to THOR2. If TDW has a rival it is Katniss. And THOR2 got capped when CF opened huge and maintains a surprising hold this coming weekend.

CF has killed of thor a lot particularly domestically the hobbit is coming out to long after thor to effect it that much at all.
