Our Beloved Savior

Primus, the god of the most popular religion in the entire planet, is worshiped by nearly everyone. However, it appears that a lot of people are taking the beliefs that Primus had supposedly stated a long time ago way too seriously. For example, The Westboro Baptist Church, which worships Primus like no one else, punishing those who do not. As a result, Primus realizes that he must actually come down to Earth and get things sorted out. People are unbelievably shocked that their god is actually walking the Earth with them. Ironically, Primus is very cocky and flamboyant, using his god powers to get into trouble, and many people are still uncertain about how to handle this very odd situation. Primus gets into more crazy antics throughout the movie, and people actually begin to hate him a lot more. However, this was all part of Primus's plan. He would get people to hate him so that nobody would follow what he believed in anymore. Even if there was a god, why would the people worship him if he was a total jerk? In the end, Primus lets his evil twin, Lucifer, take over being a god. Lucifer is ironically a really nice person, and he gets the world back on its feet. Primus leaves the Earth by throwing an insane party across the entire universe.

This movie had very limited dialogue, and is mainly told through visuals and narration. A fire sprite, born out of a candle, begins to wander around the new world that he had discovered. No one can see him, and he cannot start fires because of his young age. He must stay in warm corners and avoid water to stay alive, however. As he becomes more developed, he is able to explore outside of the candlemaker's home. The fire sprite soon discovers a fairy garden, where he meets one of the most beautiful fairies of all. However, she is a water fairy, meaning that it could be very dangerous for the two to be together. Still, the two try very hard to put aside their differences and be together. They go on a variety of adventures, exploring the forest and visiting museums where humans cannot see them. They keep a distance when together, but they still really love each other. However, the fire sprite accidentaly sets a part of the forest on fire, and lots of damage is done before the water fairies can stop it. The water fairy becomes furious at the fire sprite, as are the forest's fairies and animals. Hurt, the fire sprite leaves the scene. The two don't spend time together for a while. However, trouble comes once again when the water fairy is being attacked by a bear in the rain. The fire sprite soon risks his life to scare off the bear and save the fairy. However, this turned out to be his ultimate sacrifice. The fire sprite was killed by the rain. The water fairy becomes saddened, beginning to cry. That night, the water fairy becomes amazed when she sees a cloud of smoke come towards her. The fire sprite had become a smoke sprite, and the two can still stay together.

Plot Summary: An adaptation of the famous play.

Plot:

Upon her second husband's death, domineering matriarch Bernarda Alba imposes an eight-year mourning period on her household, as per her family tradition. Bernarda has five daughters, aged between 20 and 39, whom she has controlled inexorably and prohibited from any form of relationship. The mourning period further isolates them and tension mounts within the household.

After a mourning ritual at the family home, eldest daughter Asieh enters, having been absent while the guests were there. Bernarda fumes, assuming she had been listening to the men's conversation on the patio. Asieh inherited a large sum of money from her father, Bernarda's first husband, but Bernarda's second husband has left only small sums to his four daughters. Asieh' wealth attracts a young, attractive suitor from the village, Abdul-Aleem. Her sisters are jealous, believing that it's unfair that Asieh, plain and rather sickly, should receive both the majority of the inheritance and the freedom to marry and escape their suffocating home environment.

Youngest sister Adela, stricken with sudden spirit and jubilation after her father's funeral, defies her mother's orders and dons a green dress instead of remaining in mourning black. Her brief taste of youthful joy suddenly shatters when she discovers that Asieh will be marrying Abdul. Darya, Bernarda's maid, advises Adela to bide her time: Asieh will probably die delivering her first child. Distressed, Adela threatens to run into the streets in her green dress, but her sisters manage to stop her. Suddenly they see Abdul coming down the street. She stays behind while her sisters rush to get a look—until a maid hints that she could get a better look from her bedroom window.

As Darya and Bernarda discuss the daughters' inheritances upstairs, Bernarda sees Asieh wearing makeup and a green dress. Appalled that Asieh would defy her orders to remain in a state of mourning, Bernarda violently scrubs the makeup off her face. The other daughters enter, followed by Bernarda's elderly mother, Farzaneh, who is usually locked away in her room. Farzaneh announces that she wants to get married; she also warns Bernarda that she'll turn her daughters' hearts to dust if they cannot be free. Bernarda forces her back into her room.

It turns out that Adela and Abdul are having a secret affair. Adela becomes increasingly volatile, defying her mother and quarreling with her sisters, particularly Elmira, who reveals her own feelings for Abdul. Adela shows the most horror when the family hears the latest gossip about how the townspeople recently dealt with a young woman who shamelessly delivered and killed an illegitimate baby.

Tension explodes as family members confront one another and Bernarda pursues Abdul with a gun. A gunshot is heard outside, implying that Abdul has been killed. Adela flees into another room while the family awaits the outcome. As Bernarda and Elmira enter, Elmira says Abdul escaped with his life, and Bernarda remarks that as a woman she can't be blamed for poor aim. Immediately she calls for Adela, who has locked herself into a room. When Adela doesn't respond, Bernarda and Darya force the door open. Soon Darya's shriek is heard. She returns with her hands clasped around her neck and warns the family not to enter the room. Adela, not knowing that Abdul survived, has hung herself.

The closing scene of the film shows Bernarda characteristically preoccupied with the family's reputation. She insists that Adela has died a virgin and demands that this be made known to the whole town. No one is to cry.

Plot Summary: On his way to work, Max Ernest gets stuck in an elevator. Due to his strong sense of claustrophobia, he begins to psychologically break down, seeing blood and death in the elevator caused by an unseen force.

The 906 Studios logo is shown on a dark, black-and-white background. Omnious music plays.

The music keeps playing as the credits roll.

(Music still playing) We then see a shot of the front of an office building at night. The camera follows through the opening doors. The place is obviously closed. The guest desk is filled with stacks of papers. At the end of a hallway, we see a dark elevator, its doors closed. Suddenly, the power in the elevator goes back on. Lights flash on, and the elevator door opens with a small “ding.”

On a black screen, we hear a small ringing. The screen cuts to a young man, Max Ernest, sleeping in bed. He hits his hand on the alarm clock snooze button. He begins to get ready for work, as he says goodbye to his wife and children, and he leaves the building.

The next few scenes are somewhat comical. When Max goes to his car, the car won’t start up, so he leaves the car parked. When he leaves the car (he left the car in reverse), it shifts backwards into a parking meter and another car.

He decides to take the subway to work. On his way there, one person farts, to everyone’s disgust. As Max gets off the train, he’s seen pinching his nose and muttering “My God, my God…”

Max goes inside the building and begins to greet other co-workers. He has a conversation with the secretary about having dinner at Max’s house that night. He goes towards the elevator from the opening sequence, to his surprise that the door is already open. Max goes inside the elevator with another woman and presses the button for Floor 24. The woman presses the button for Floor 17. The elevator doors close.

The woman introduces herself to Max. Her name is Bianca, and she works as a secretary at a medical company that makes medicine for kids. We also learn more about Max, who works as a computer programmer.

At Floor 13, the elevator suddenly stops moving, and most of the power goes out in it. Max says to himself that the elevator will work again, but it dosen’t for the next couple minutes. Max becomes panicked and begins to call 911 on his phone. However, in the middle of his call, Max’s phone runs out of power, though he was able to give 911 information about his location. Bianca tries to calm Max down, telling him that everything will be fine. Max, however, doesn’t calm and has a panic attack, to which he faints.

Black screen for a couple of seconds.

When Max wakes up, we see Bianca from his POV, to which Bianca is giving him CPR on the chest. Max gets up from the floor and calms himself down. Bianca even herself is startled, and the two of them try to calm the other down. Max, afraid he will never see his wife again, tries to start a relationship with Bianca. Bianca, single, asks to kiss Max. Max begins to kiss Bianca, when suddenly Bianca bites Max’s cheek. Max screams and thrusts himself off Bianca. We see Bianca has red eyes and sharp fangs. Max hears a voice in the distance, which says “THERE IS NO HOPE…” Bianca tries to eat Max’s head off, and Max takes out his binder and slashes at Bianca.

Suddenly, we transition back to real-life. Bianca screams, and Max stops slashing. Bianca is terrified, and backs away from max. Max tries to confess to Bianca, saying he has claustrophobia issues and hallucinates, but Bianca refuses to believe.

Bianca then takes out a knife, with red eyes and fangs again, and slashes at Max. Max then chokes Bianca in fear of death. Her body begins to decompose, making blood that forms a portal through the elevator. Max sees what looks like the underworld. He sees bodies being burnt, blood everywhere, and then a giant three-headed dog. The dog sees Max, then bites his head off.

Max wakes up, and Bianca is seen, alive and well, calling loved ones. Max is confused, and questions his own sanity. He and Bianca are terrified, with what seems like no escape whatsoever.

He and Bianca then hear the same voice from Max’s vision. The voice says, “COME TO ME…” Then, the wall behind Max is splattered with blood. Max then hears his phone ring, even though it ran out of power. He answers the phone, to which the same voice says, “CALM DOWN, MY FRIEND…” Max then sees his wife instead of Bianca. His wife asks Max what’s wrong, to Max’s disturbing sight that his wife is gruesomely killed by a terrifying monster, with a bloody face.

Max wakes up from his trance, terrified. Bianca is seen talking on the phone. Bianca then seems happy about something. Firefighters are coming to the office building to save them. Max is relieved and gives Bianca a hug.

Max suddenly seems to wake up and sees his wife’s bloody remains. The creature from earlier says “THERE IS NO HOPE, MY FRIEND…” Enough of this nonsense, Max breaks the elevator glass and stabs the monster repeatedly with it. Blood splatters everywhere in the elevator as Max swings the glass recklessly. The monster retaliates by killing his supposed kids in front of his eyes. The monster says “MILLIONS HAVE DIED IN THIS ELEVATOR, YOU WILL BE NEXT, MY FRIEND…” Max finally gives a final blow by sticking the glass in the monster’s head. As the monster dies, Max screams in agony.

Max is still screaming, Bianca also. Bianca sees that Max’s arm is stabbed with a piece of sharded glass, and that if he dosen’t get treated immeadiately, he will die. Bianca also gets a call saying that the firemen are in the building, coming to save them.

The firemen arrive with a buzzsaw, asking for Bianca to come out first. To Max’s surprise, the firemen show their faces as the monster, and kill Bianca graphically with a buzzsaw. Outraged, Max takes a pocketknife from Bianca’s pocket, and stabs the head fireman in the chest.

Black screen. Silence. We then see the urgent care center of a hospital, with an ambulance pulling in. Bianca and what is supposedly Max’s wife are in an ambulance with other nurses. We see Max with a knife sticking out of his chest, unconscious. The nurses begin to rush Max in the hospital, with Max’s wife and Bianca running. The nurses and Max on his bed take one elevator, while Bianca and Max’s wife take another. When they press the Floor 5 button, the elevator starts going up. Suddenly, the elevator stops working.

Black screen. Silence.

Introduction

4chan is an electo-nation founded in 2003. It has a population of over 9,000 citizens composed exclusively of young white (and semi-proud) angst-ridden males, the detritus of normal society. 4chan's major imports are Guy Fawkes masks, its major exports are internet memes and "Demotivational Posters." With the population having no females the nation depends entirely on immigration to maintain its numbers, who 4chan citizens affectionately refer to as newbs.

4chan is sometimes known as The Internet Hate Machine, but it is more commonly referred to as 4ailchan. 4chan.org was the creator of the Internet, before the internet there was 4chan they than said let there be servers thus creating the internet.

History

"4chan" is the fourth creation of the "chan" family. The first 3 "chan"s were quite successful at first, but unfortunately have ended up failing or got shut down. The first "chan" was a big hit with the males, particularly the whites, just like common day "4chan" is... today. The extremely fast popularity increase attracted the government's attention. Confusing it for the devil spawning out of modern day technology, it was regrettably shut down. The second chan was popular with the females, and mainly was a discussion board for female issues. This angered the original creator, as he intended it for use of the clinically insane, not "those whiny 'b's'". He then went to each of those girl's houses, and proceeded to viciously murder all of them. He then named the website "3chan". The third chan was hardly known or visited, but some people claimed it died of a severe case of syphilis. 4chan was founded by the Something Awful admins to feed their ongoing obsession with animated naked furry oil wrestling GIFs, ponies having sex with animals and amusing pictures of snowy owls. It went downhill from these innocuous beginnings to something far more morally ambiguous. It was originally going to be named 4chin in honor of the most prominent facial feature of the average 4chan member's morbidly obese body but site registration was left up to the guy who does all the "lolcats" so an unnecessary vowel replacement was inevitable. But this wasn't enough of a barrel roll. The 4chin.com web domain is currently held by the Chinese law firm of Chin, Chin, Chin and Chin and they don't feel like selling it. 4chan users are Anonymous (With a capital A). This isn't because they witnessed a Mafia hit or something. The real reason is simple wish fulfillment. Being nobody in particular is a dramatic improvement over being whoever you actually are if you're a 4chan regular. Imagine, for example, that you're a millionaire with a former beauty queen for a wife (or bodybuilder for a husband). Despite your good life you can still wish that you're the Emperor Of China, have the year's entire series of Playboy, and a magic flying horse that can talk. This is the sort of step up a 4chan user gets by becoming nobody. Being a faceless drone isn't so bad when your face resembles the greasy, toxic, barnacle encrusted hull of a sunken oil tanker.

Detailed Chan Description

To make sure we had a very detailed view of 4chan, we have deemed it necessary to put ourselves at great risk to create a detailed commentary of the different sections. It was a difficult thing to do and a lot of our users have since seen three psychiatrists, two psychologists, and eight neurologists, all at some hospital in New York City I can barely remember. (Its address was in the basement of the 2nd Ave. Don't ask.) But nothing that any of us could write could make it funny enough. So please, we have given ourselves brain damage by visiting these accursed piles of demon-spawn so you don't have to. Have fun!

/a/ - Anime & Manga

There was once a dream, a dream that was /b/. The dream was that all persons, from all lands could be made to live, in harmony, with each other and moderators. But alas, this dream was not to /b/. Today, /b/ is a terrifying place, made so by the anonymous. Those who go to /b/ looking for the comfort and support it was once supposed to offer now can find everything ranging from people putting up pictures of themselves for others to rate, threads full of porn, threads full of gore, threads full of Al Gore, threads full of dancing hippos, and threads full of packing peanuts. Those threads full of packing peanuts are the most interesting and hotly debated. /b/ is where trolls are born, and where they go to die.

/c/ - Anime/Cute

/c/ is /a/ for paedophiles (In other words: it is more popular). Supposedly standing for cute, it seems to have degenerated into how to show cartoon porn without anyone in it actually doing it. This creates a real problem for normal people, including tired donut-munching cops who can't hold down their coffee, because they know they are watching it to get off during their break on the fire escape, but can't actually do anything about it. Say "OMG KAWAII!!11!" a lot, they'll love you for it. These anime shows they watch must have really good plots. It can't possibly be because they have images of cute little girls in them.... nothing disturbing about that, is there?

/ck/ - Food & Cooking

Where people go to talk about food.

Seriously, you couldn't figure that out from the title? You're really stupid.

Nobody really cares about this board, like, honestly, you'd be lucky to find 6-7 women on it at one time, or not. (There's no Internet in the kitchen or the bedroom). Either way, stupid board, probably just all food.

/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

DRAMA. Name says it all, really. People dressing up as various things, cats, mice, Pizza Hut boxes, and 16 year-old drug addicts. To sum this one up... it's filled with jackasses. The kind of people you'd see dressed up as wizards, casting spells on one another and later on jerking off to some stupid anime show. Also with weirder people (Yes, they get weirder, amazing right?) that dress up in animal costumes then proceed to kiss each other. You can't make crap like that up. Either way, if you're one of the above, this is the place for you.

/co/ - Comics & Cartoons

Wow! Western cartoons (meaning cowboys and Indians, preferably from Texas)! Unfortunately, even western cartoons are not safe from the hideous imaginations of the "artists" who post their work on this board. Unless you have the mental-ability to ward off any of the horrors you will witness here, it is not advised to touch this board. The less said, the better (and not in a good way). Essentially the OTHER poor-man's version of /a/.

/d/ - Hentai/Alternative

The disgusting, horrific mind of Japan manifests itself in this complete crapload of a board. If it has breasts, and also some tentacles, it's here. Most of the time you should wash your eyes out with industrial nuclear soap after visiting this board.

/e/ - Ecchi

A kind of hentai with rules so complex no one can explain them. No-one except the really, really, really, REALLY weird of the weirdest 4chan users even visits this board, let alone posts on it (in the rare case of which one should immediately contact the authorities).

/f/ - Flash

Flash Japanese porn.

/i/ - Oekaki

Formerly the Insurgency board. This used to be a breeding ground for two types of people: 14 year-olds who thought they were cool and slightly older people who clicked the board by accident thinking it was another one of those hentai image-forums because no-one talked about it. But what does "insurgency" actually mean? It is what happens when anger issues and a script meant for malicious use downloaded from sourceforge collide. This might sound like a dangerous place to piss off in case you were hacked or suffered identity theft were they would use your credit-card to send ten pizzas to your door, in reality all that would happen if you trolled people on this board is that you could basque in the satisfaction of knowing that you caused several or so autistic people to thumble about for 45 minutes attempting and failing to run a distributed denial-of-service attack and failing badly. Eventually, after a long string of raids on this board by people who actually knew what they were doing, the administrators eventually came to their senses and realised that the board had no real point other than to give 4chan an even worse reputation than what they already had, resulting in them pulling the plug on it. Now /i/ is a board for Oekaki, where terrible people make terrible drawings and share it with other terrible people in terrible threads and receive terrible replies on a terrible board. One to put on the "not to care about" list.

/hc/ - Hardcore WARNING: Don't go there.

/hr/ - High Resolution

Large pictures with super awesome quality. Lots of Star Wars and Transformers. The only board which (usually) has non-disturbing images. Worth checking out at least once if you're into good-quality photographs. So it's probably the only proper example of a 4chan image board doing exactly what it says on the tin. That's literally all there is to say about this board. Moving along....

/o/ - Automobiles

You have never witnessed such trolling. Also Mustangs.

/k/ - Weapons

Where prepubescent kids and balding men go talk about guns they use in this week's Call of Duty. They are known as /k/ommandos. Note that "day /k/" and "night /k/" are two different entities. After night falls, the Call of Duty fans go to bed and /k/ turns into an actual informative board. Compared to other boards (/g/, /v/, /b/, etc.), /k/ is one of the more polite boards.

/mu/ - Music

Once an indie nation where people could go to talk about music, instrumentation, and all the aspects of making and performing music, /mu/ has been sold out to the tourist industry. Its most infamous tourist (simply named, "The Tourist", has almost single-handedly brought /mu/ down to mainstream standards). Metalheads and hipsters now wage massive wars amongst each other on the board, while some of the underground citizens meet up to fight the power, and bring /mu/ back to its former glory. This Nationalist movement, however, has not gone far. Conservative /mu/tants have mostly given up, and gone on to simply trolling like the tourists around them. The primary currency of /mu/ is Indie Cred (I.C.) and its national anthem is "King of Carrot Flowers pts 2 & 3", by Neutral Milk Hotel.

/pol/ - Politically Incorrect

Imagine /b/ if... nah, no-one cares about this board anyway.

/g/ - Technology

A place for Linux users to circlejerk in desktop threads and hate on iPhones and other Apple products.

/tv/ - Television and Film

Occasionally they'll bash the latest blockbuster, and have threads where they list their 9 favorite films. Of course, this is just a front for being able to attack other's taste in film. Blade Runner and 2001 A Space Odyssey are regarded as objectively the greatest films of all time, so don't go there and tell them otherwise. Also, Breaking Bad.

/v/ - The Vidya

Home of unsuccessful trolls and grumpy old men who complain "Whaaah everything after 1996 sucks!". The actual board itself isn't that bad, it is just a bad place to discuss video games. Filled with 12 year-olds (what a shock) and neckbeards, this is a board which is more comfortable with discussing how great Gabe Newell is (though not actually talking about his work), the film 300, green-text stories and sometimes SNSD, a Korean pop group that has absolutely NOTHING to do with videogames. About as fun a place to be as the above paragraph makes it sound.

/int/ - international

The idea behind /int/ is simple: For the exchange of language and culture. However, it soon degenerated into little more than a large number of Polish, Swedish, German and Finnish people who bicker over which country is the best. If it was not that, it would be threads which would become long and heavily ambiguous question-and answer sessions about countries no-one cares about that exist purely to boost the original-poster's ego.

/x/ - Paranormal

There is much dispute between the nature of /x/ and /b/. /x/ was originally meant to be a paranormal image board, but during a period of crashes in /b/'s history, the denizens of /b/ invaded and took over /x/ for their own purposes, temporarily. Somewhere along there, a random anonymous said the fateful words: "post ending in 69 takes over /x/." And then /x/ was the /b/-tards. Interesting fact: birthplace of the "WHO WAS PHONE?" meme. Not that anyone cares.

/vp/ Pokemon

A place for fandomentalists who whine about gen V and Gen IV, as well as the only SFW 4Chan board. Basically what happened on this channel is the fandomentalists and the true pokemon fans argue upon each other about which generation is the best. This has caused mass conflict about GEN V SUXORS POSTS. Other posts regulate on how furries from deviantart are ruining the pokemon fandom and newbs getting banned for posting. They think they are bereaucratic nazis. Their rules are mostly tl;dr, and they will enforce it until nobody plays pokemon online. /mlp/ is no ordinary 4chan board. It is not inhabited by regular humans, but eldritch monstrosities known as Bronies. In 2010 these creatures had invaded 4chan and manifested the boards of 4chan with outdated meme generator memes full of cute ponies which turn other members into more of them (yes, like other forms of plague). The mods were displeased and they swept these beasts out of 4chan. However, the bronies will still invade the boards with their girly crap once the mods are gone. So to distract the bronies the /mlp/ board was born. /mlp/ is known as a cancer of the nets and is usually not entered by any normal person. The disease which one contracts from bronies is so infectious that just visiting this board will mean you will begin to have boners towards children's characters. In fact /mlp/ is the leprosy island of 4chan. This is the worst board for one reason and one reason only: Bronies. If you don't see how this is a bad thing, please check to make sure a pony plushy with a "strategically-placed hole" has not somehow found its way onto your unmentionables.

Against All Odds

Synopsis: An ex-con with increidlbe football talent is hired to coach a team of high school football players

At Westwood High School, the coach of the school's football team is killed in a horrific car accident, leaving the team without a leader. Patrick Roberts, a man recently released from prison on account of drug dealing, vandalism, and armed robbery, notices this news, but he has little respect for the school. He was frequently bullied as a child there, and he wanted to escape from this cruel past. In fact, these experiences may have caused him to become the mess that he is now.

Life could hardly be worse for Patrick, he's currently single and about to be kicked out of his apartment, failing to find a job due to his minimal college education and of course, his criminal record. However, Michelle Pennington, the school's guidance counselor, knows that Patrick was a great footbal player when we was at the school, and he could potentially lead the new team to victory. The school board is extremely skeptical, especially in letting a criminal be with their children, but Michelle believes that he can change.

Patrick Roberts is reluctant to return to his roots, but this may be the only way that he can be able to prevent himself from going homeless, so he grudgingly accepts the job. The football team at the school is rather cocky, although some of its members are scared that they are being led by an ex-convict. Patrick Roberts says upfront that he doesn't want to be here, but he has no other choice. After one of the players, William, mocks him, Patrick threatens to beat him up, causing everyone to become afraid.

The school board threatens to fire Roberts if he continues this behavior, but Pennington hopes that he can change, truly believing that he can change for the better. The school board ultimately decides to give him a pink slip unless he can get the team to win the first game of the season. Roberts teaches the team unorthodox strategies to try and win. Lo and behold, the final score of the intense football game was 28-22, with Westwood winning. Patrick had never felt this happy in a very long time, and he felt that he could keep leading the team.

The members of the football team continue to gain respect for Roberts, and he believes that this truly was a good idea. He is able to keep his apartment thanks to his new job, and he is beginning to develop a close relationship with Michelle. Most parents in the district, especially those of the players, are still not thrilled about the coach's past, even if he is an excellent coach and someone that the boys look up to. The school board has recieved a lot of criticism for this decision, although they insist that everything is going well, and it truly was.

One day, Patrick witnesses William bullying another kid. Patrick tells him to back off, while William curses at him, telling him that he can do whatever the hell he wants. Patrick, almost subconsciously, punches the kid in the gut, and he falls to the floor in pain. All of the students look at the scene in terror, too silent to say anything. Later on, Patrick is not only fired from the school, but he is being forced into another jail sentence for accasult of a minor. Everything that he had gained back was now lost.

However, William knew that he deserved what Patrick did for him, feeling terrible that the reason that he's back in jail was because of him. The other football players stop talking to him, and the team begins to lose more games to the end of the season. William tries to right his wrongs by apolozing to the other kid, but also campaigning to get the school board to re-hire Patrick once he is released from his jail sentence. Surprisingly, most of the remaining student body is backing him in trying to keep Patrick on the team.

Patrick Roberts is amazed, and overjoyed, that the school had forgiven him. He had taught them that anyone can change from the past, and we all have the potential to become role models. Patrick is rehired by the school, and William is happy to have him back, thanking him for helping him change. The film ends with Patrick coaching the team just as the first game of the new season is about to start, and the film fades to the cheers of the game attendees.

The movie begins with Doctor Nick Tatopoulos talking about Godzilla and how he and is team studied and observe it. Godzilla is a 180 foot-tall amphibious reptile, a paradox of evolution, and a walking, stalking tribute to the limitless powers of irradiation. Godzilla is the “King of the Monsters”.

He cannot reproduce asexually but he can breathe powerful blasts of radioactive fire. Godzilla is sleek, swift, clever and above all, uncontrollably ferocious. He can run at speeds up to 300mph, leap high into the air, swim faster than submarine torpedoes, and burrow instantly through buildings and solid rock.

But despite all of his power, strength and intelligence, Godzilla is not invulnerable. He also has an aversion to bright lights and can be momentarily diverted by a sudden flash. Godzilla feeds on fish – lots of fish, and H.E.A.T., Nick’s team, have their work cut out for them trying to curb his insatiable appetite.

Godzilla is not a predator, but will attack if threatened. He views the entire planet as his territory. As a result, Godzilla will abide no threat to the world.

H.E.A.T. team is responsible for several paranormal events that happen around the globe. Nick leads the team, which is comprised by Monique Dupre, an operative of SDECE (the French Secret Service) brought aboard H.E.A.T. to ensure that Godzilla doesn’t step out of line or go out of control and crush some major urban center in the process, Randy Hernandez, a hormonally challenged teen hacker par excellence, with a taste for adventure and a decidedly anti-authoritarian bent. His computer skills allow him to tap into anything, whether securing airline tickets, fixing a parking violation, raiding a villain’s computer files, regaining control over a robot monster or breaking into enemy compounds, Doctor Elsie Chapman, a biologist in her mid-30s shameless and aggressive flirt, Elsie is the master of the double entente, and Doctor Mendel Craven, fussy and neurotic, Craven is an electronics whiz who is also the butt of everyone’s jokes. The ultimate hypochondriac, he has had the same cold since he was thirteen. He is allergic to simply everything… Craven is also an expert at sophisticated mechanical devices and tracking technology.

After the presentation, we see several ships approaching Earth. Most of them stay in space, while the biggest one goes to Earth and lands on an island called Hazard Abyss in the middle of the Ocean.

Dr Alexander Preloran goes to the island with two assistants, Dr Hans Sopler and Dr Ted Hoffman, in a helicopter. When they get closer to the island, they see the ship. It is a massive ship, bigger than the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier. When they are about to land, a giantplesiosaur called Cryptocleidus jumps out of the water and attacks the helicopter. Days later, H.E.A.T. tracks the source of a series of Tachyon transmissions to the Hazard Abyss. When they learn from Preloran’s crew that the scientists never returned (Nick is a friend of Preloran, and that is why his crew called him) from their expedition, H.E.A.T. launches a rescue mission. As their boat approaches the island, the team is attacked by the same Cryptocleidus.

Cryptocleidus tries to take the boat down. Monique and Randy shoot the beast but it seems to have no effect. Suddenly, the monster is pulled down to the bottom of the sea. The team doesn’t know what happened but Nick assumes that it was Godzilla.

The team is able to get to the island. When they get there, they see Preloran’s helicopter crashed. Nick goes and checks it, but here is nobody there. After this, the team goes to the ship. The ship is made of a very advanced technology. Craven is fascinated by the ship and what humans may learn from it. The team is shocked with what it sees next. Several giant monsters locked in cages sleeping. In there, they hear a voice saying “Reptilians attack”. The team sees some sort guard dogs bred from aquatic dinosaurs.

The team runs to the next portal, while Monique, Randy and Nick shoot the reptilians. The team is able to escape. Once they enter in the next compartment of the ship, H.E.A.T. meets with the Leviathan Aliens — six-limbed, telepathic beings with glowing yellow eyes and extending necks — their new ally Dr Preloran (he is being mind controlled), and more Reptilians.

The Leviathan Aliens have used their powers to absorb Dr Preloran’s assistants’s knowledge, and have decided that the Earth will make a perfect colony for their people. Dr Preloran is able to think by himself again and Hans and Ted are also released by the aliens thanks to a distraction made by Nick that allowed Monique to shoot over the aliens, and he and Nick manage to destroy the ship’s controls.

Someone has to stay behind, because you can’t blow up the ship from the outside, so Preloran sacrifices himself to help the others escape before the ship self-destructs. Before we see the ship being destroyed, we see one of the aliens pushing a button. The explosion is huge, and causes a massive earthquake.

Nick and his team, accompanied by Hans and Ted, run to the boat, only to find out Cryptocleidus and Godzilla battling (it is a different Cryptocleidus from the first one). The battle lasts for about 10-15 minutes, and it is epic with lots of fire attacks from Godzilla. While that happens, the team finds a way to get into the boat. Godzilla throws Cryptocleidus into the water and Nick uses the boat to fire a missil against the beast, apparently killing it.

After this, Godzilla goes away, seeing that the monster was killed, and on the boat with the alien invasion stopped, H.E.A.T. can finally relax. Nick asks himself why the army did nothing against the alien ships, and Craven calls the team to tell that the ships in the space ready to enter Earth are gone. The team celebrates the victory.

AFTER CREDITS SCENE

We see Hans and Ted with the team, and his eyes now have a yellow glow…

Synopis:

Is the Pentagon stonewalling her? Or doesn't she really want to find the killer? The event mark a turning point in Reacher's career.

Plot:

Lights up and we’re having an aerial shot of a famous building. The Pentagon is the world’s largest office building. We’re inside, showing a few faces at work. Tense electro music is on.

We’re zooming on a tall guy, 127cm chest, 110 kg, scar on corner left eye, scar on upper lip. He’s Jack Reacher (Jane), wearing Class A uniform. He’s going through the Pentagon’s security check. The music gets tenser, Reacher is looking around cautiously. He walks up to the desk. “I have a twelve o’clock appointment”. The desk guys looks at him. “Who with?”Reacher says “Colonel Fraser” The desk guy gives Reacher the direction. 3C315. Reacher says he knows the way. He spots four guy in black uniform following him, he speeds up and mingles in the crowd and two minutes later, he’s on an empty corridor. He walks up to the Colonel’s door, knocks once as a courtesy and steps inside. It’s a small office, photographs on the wall, metal DoD desk, chair with arms and two without. Colonel Frazer (Cox) smiles. “Hello Reacher”

After some small talk Frazer asks “So what do you got from me? Good news I hope”

“No news” Reacher says calmly. Frazer is surprised. “You told me you had the name. That’s what your message said”

“I don’t have the name”

“Then why say so? Why ask to see me”

“It was a shortcut”

Frazer pauses for a second then says “You look terrible. There are barbershops here, you know. You should go use one.”

Reacher smiles. “I can’t. I’m supposed to look like this.”

The music reaches peak and a spectacular opening credits begin from the same visual artist who created Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Electro-rock is on, we see lots of titles with the name Jack Reacher, making the audience know that it’s a JR film but we not use it in the film title that fades in last:

THE AFFAIR

Four days earlier

Leon Garber (O’Quinn) summons Reacher to his office. First he tells him off for his look, slightly long, scruffy hair that is not the appropriate soldier’s personal appearance but in the end of the conversation he claims that it’s perfect for the mission that Reacher faces next. “We have a problem. Down in Mississippi” Garber informs Reacher. A woman (Janice Chapman) had been murdered in a small town in Mississippi. The town, Carter Crossing, is next to an army base, Fort Kelham and the Fort houses two Companies of Army Rangers which fly in and out on a regular basis to Kosovo, but not officially. To make matters worse, one of the Company Commanders is the son of an influential Senator. So all in all care needs to be taken and the investigations into the woman's death closely observed. Things could get difficult should it turn out that the woman's killer is a soldier from the base. The Army doesn't want attention drawn to Fort Kelham. The local PD is getting nowhere with their homicide investigation, so they want to go fishing. The army have to make sure that they have nothing to do with it, mainly because the Bravo Company’s commander is Reed Riley, the son of Carlton Riley, an influential the senator. The plan is to send one guy to Kelham, Munro and send someone undercover to check the town, Reacher. He’s not overly happy that he got the undercover part, he goes back to his quarter, takes a shower but doesn’t shave. He has no personal clothing. None. Not even socks. He finds an old T-shirt in his drawer then he goes to the closest clothing store and buys some faded pink pants. Later on the afternoon he gets a phone call. It’s Colonel Frazer, who says that there are already hints and rumours and he needs to know whether Captain Riley has anything to do with the incident.

6am next morning, Reacher is ready. He meets with Garber, who looks at him “You’re going to Mississippi. They’ll think you’re a queer. They’ll beat you to death”

Reacher smiles. “I doubt it”

He walks out to the street and hitchhikes to the bus stop. After the bus ride and another hitchhike he enters to the town. He finds a hotel with an unattended reception desk. Reacher looks around, hits the bell twice. No answer. No human sounds. No voices. No music. Tuesday night, near an army base, not typical. He hasn’t eaten anything since he set off, so he heads to the diner close to the hotel. He orders a black coffee and a cheeseburger. The place is empty apart from an old guy sitting in the corner. He starts chatting to the waitress, who tells him that the base is closed, that’s why it’s so quiet. While waiting for the burger he phones Garber and tells him that the base is closed. Garber says that Munro did it, first thing in the morning. Reacher thinks it’s an admission of guilt. He pays for his drink and starts exploring the area. He walks to the railway road. As he gets close to the fence of Kelham, a truck pulls up next to him and two guys are start asking question. Reacher says nothing. That angers the guys, they start to act threatening. Reacher says nothing. The two guys open the door to start a fight, but they are no match for Reacher. Two fast headbutts and they’re both down. He walks back to the main road, back to the town centre. Another car comes towards him, a police car with a woman behind the wheel. The two guys in the truck drive off. A beautiful woman introduces herself as Elizabeth Deveraux (Theron), she starts asking question and finally tells Reacher to meet in the diner in ten minutes. It doesn’t take long to Deveraux to figure out that Reacher is an undercover for the army. Reacher feels bad about it at first, but Deveraux tells him that there’s nothing wrong with his story or look, she’s an ex-marine, she expected an army to send an undercover MP. Reacher asks her about the investigation, she tells him that they’ve got nothing, a wrecked car and a dead women. They talk about the army and the marines, get to know each other a bit. After a friendly conversation, Reacher walks back to the hotel. Two minutes later Deveraux’s Chevy pulls up in the hotel’s parking lot. She smiles at Reacher. “I live here.” Reacher goes to the lobby and sees the old guy from the diner there at the reception desk. He gets a room and unpacks and then creeps downstairs. He takes a night walk. He goes to the spot where Janice Chapman was killed and looks around the spot. He goes back to the railroad, to the place where Deveraux told him that they found the car wreck. It’s a blue Sedan, completely destroyed. Perfect way to get rid of evidence. Reacher finds an Oregon plate crushed. Then the ground begins shaking as the midnight trains clatters through. Reacher gets back to the hotel around 1 and goes straight to bed. 6am the old man wakes him up. Reacher isn’t thrilled. It’s his uncle the old man says, urgent phone call. Reacher quickly gets out of bed and drags himself down. It’s Garber on the phone. He says that Reacher is supposed to report him every morning 6am that’s what they agreed. Reacher tells him about the car, Garber wants more from him as Munro is getting nowhere in Kelham. He goes back to his room and hears Deveraux’s car leaving at 7. Reacher gets dressed and walks to diner. He knows that he’ll find Deveraux there. She’s sitting near the entrance table. When she sees Reacher, she smiles and kicks a chair for him. She tells him that she surprised that Reacher is still here. There’s nothing for him to investigate, it’s the local PD’s job. She clearly doesn’t want the army to sniff around her. Reacher acts friendly however and tells her that the girl wasn’t killed in the alley opposed to what everyone else thinks. He explains her why it couldn’t have been there. Her throat was cut, which normally sprays everywhere and leaves a lot of blood. There weren’t that many blood in the alley, there should have been a pool of blood, but there that wasn’t the case. Deveraux gets upset with herself and covers her face with her hands “I’m an idiot”

Reacher is nice to her. He likes her. She’s stunningly beautiful. Mid 30s, long black hair, very thin, nice curves. “Don’t feel bad. You never saw it happen, so you don’t have anything to remember.”

Deveraux is still upset. “No, it’s basic. I’m an idiot, I’ve wasted days”

Reacher explains her that his theory that it was a hunter, the method is very professional. They talk more and then Reacher says “Ok, now it gets worse” when he hears that the clothing the corpse was wearing was nearly spotless. It means not only she was killed somewhere else, someone changed her dress as well. They talk more about Deveraux’s history in the Marines and why she lives in the hotel, who she likes it in the town and stuff. Deveraux decides that she trust Reacher enough to show him the corpse. Reacher looks at the body and tells her that she was probably tied up, tight on belts or straps upside down, easier to cut a throat. The doctor confirms that Reacher’s theory is very plausible. Before they go, he says an interesting thing to Deveraux, “Well good luck, chief. Hope this turns out better than the last two.” When Reacher asks what the doctor meant, Deveraux reveals that last year two girls were killed. Same MO. Throats cut.Deveraux goes back to the sheriff department, Reacher heads back to the diner to grab lunch. The waitress tells Reacher that a woman was looking for him an hour ago. Reacher orders and then phones Garber. “You sent an agent down here?”

Garber denies it. “No.

”There’s a woman asking for me by name” Then he tells Garber that he found a licence plate off the car wreck. He recites the number from his memory. Garber promises to call back in ten minutes. Reacher starts eating his lunch. Orders a blueberry pie after he finished his steak. The phone rings.

“We traced the car”

“And?”

"Can’t tell you. Classified information as of five minutes ago”

“Really? Bravo Company, right?”

“Who have you told it?”

“Nobody”

“You sure?”

“Completely”

“OK. Here are your orders. Firstly, do not, I repeat, do not give that number to local law enforcement. Secondly, return to the wreck and destroy that plate immediately”

Reacher obeys the first order, but not rushing to fulfil the second. He goes back to the table and orders another coffee. He figures that the mystery woman would be looking for him here sooner or later. Five minutes later, Frances Neagley (McDormand) shows up. Reacher smiles, she’s an old friend of his. First Sergeant, US Army. Neagley sits down and warns Reacher that she’s worried about him. She thinks it’s a suicide mission and Reacher has to turn it down. Reacher says that Munro is the one, who’s risking his neck. A women got killed, he can’t ignore that. Negley says that he came down from DC to warn him as an old friend, so he must understand the importance of the case. Then they talk about Deveraux and she says that there’s a bad vibe about her. Neagley warns Reacher again, but he says that he’ll be fine, doesn’t need a big sister around. She gives him a parting gift. An envelope with the photos of the three dead girl. Neagley says that she borrowed it from Deveraux. Reacher takes a look at the photos. Three women, one thing in common. They were all amazingly beautiful. Reacher repacks the file and tucks it under his shirt. He goes to the sheriff department. He finds Deveraux there.

“Busy day?”

“Two guys were beaten up last night, they swore it was soldier from Kelham. But the army base is close. Kelham says no one came in or out the whole day.”

Reacher says nothing. Then Deveraux smiles and asks him about Negley. Then she asks for the photos back. Reacher give sit to her and she smiles and says that she left it on the desk deliberately, wanted Reacher to have a look at them. Then she asks “Did you ID the car?”

Reacher says he did, but can’t tell her more. She gets it, she used to be a Marine. Reacher reveals that he beat those guys up last night. Deveraux says that those are the McKinley brothers and she’s grateful that he did, but he should expect them to look for him now with a bigger group. Then the phone rings and the deputy, Pellegrino (informs Deveraux that there’s another homicide. They get into the car and drive to the scene, which is near the railroad, on the edge of the woods. The corpse is white male. A lawyer. Shot in the knee. Strangely there’s a dressing around his legs, so Reacher thinks that there was a dispute, a shot was fired, a warning shot or a giddy-up shot. Then the guy tried to help when he notices that he hit someone. Deveraux claims that the shooter was a soldier, because of the GI field dressing, but Reacher says that anyone can get it in a surplus store. Reacher walks around and notices up a cartridge case on the dirt. Bright and fresh, new, long from a rifle. Picks it up and weights it. Walks back to Deveraux and tells her that he thinks it’s a military round. Reacher says that he wants to talk to the mother of the victim. Deveraux drives him to her place, but she doesn’t want to speak to anyone. Reacher notices her brother sitting outside the porch quietly. They go back to the sheriff department, Reacher phones the base and asks for Munro. They discuss the current situation, Munro (Bacon) tells him that it’s 100% that they didn’t deploy any soldiers outside to take care of citizens approaching the base. No one left the base since he got there. Then Munro wants to speak to Deveraux. When she hangs up she turns to Reacher and says that Munro just asked her to dine with him in Kelham. She drives away. Reacher phones Colonel Fraser, but he gets nowhere. He denies everything and gives him no info. Reacher warns him that a cover-up is worse than a crime. Fraser hangs up. Reacher eats his burger in the diner and decides to go back to Chapman house. He finds the boy there, Curtis (Smith). His mom is out. Reacher has a nice chat with a kid, who’s clearly unhappy and miserable with his life. He tells Reacher that her sister was dating with all kind of soldiers from the base. He invites him into the house and starts asking question about the army. He’s just 17, but after some talk Reacher suggests him to go to the army if he wants to do something when he turns 18. Then Reacher kindly brings up his sister’s last day. The boy tells him that he’s sure she went to Brannan’s bar, she spent most of her time there with the soldiers and her boyfriend. Reacher asks if he knows his name and he says he does. It’s Reed. Reed Riley, things are getting messy. Reacher is not happy. He asks the kid if he knows that car Reed has. The kids answer confirms what Reacher already knew, that the wrecked car belonged to Reed Riley. Reacher leaves the house and heads back to the town. He finds Deveraux at the police department. He asks her about Munro, she describes him challenging, but she thinks he’s just covering the army’s ass obviously. Munro told her that the whole company is currently deployed somewhere else for a month. Then in the end of her summary she asks Reacher to help her. He’s slowly gaining her trust. Reacher starts asking question about the investigation of the previous two murdered girls. One of them were Rosemary McKinley that explains why her brothers wanted to have a fight with Reacher, they hate soldiers. They visit some of the neighbours and after gaining more confirmation of the soldiers frequent visits around the area, Reacher asks Deveraux to have dinner with him.

“Are you paying?”

“Absolutely” says Reacher.

“Like a date?”

“We might as well, there’s one restaurant in this small town”

“OK. 9 o’clock. Don’t shave. You look good like that”

Reacher goes to Brennan’s bar. He’s asking around and the barman confirms that Reed was a regular guest with normally a different candy on his arms. Reacher walks to the car wreck to fulfil his orders, but the wreck is gone. Someone did the job before him. He goes back to the hotel but before that he buys a new shirt. Not a fancy one, just something formal. When he gets back to the hotel, he gets another phone call from Garber. He says that they’re checking Deveraux out. Reacher asks him about deployment movement and Garber mentions Kosovo and some money coming in, but when Reacher wants more detailed answers, Garber tells him Reacher knows too much already. There are some names he should never mention and underlines him that Senator Riley can stop or start a war single-handedly if he wants to, that powerful and important figure he is, so the army cannot be accused with anything with those incident. Reacher takes a shower, pulls the shirt on and walks down towards the dinner when he hears a familiar voice from behind. “Hello again, soldier boy”. He turns around and he sees the McKinnley brothers with reinforcement. Reacher stays cool.

“Six of you? Is that it? I was hoping for something more radical, I have to say I’m kind of disappointed”

Talking gives Reacher time to think about his moves. Tense electro-music fades in again. Two of them already hurt from yesterday, two of them are drunk, so only two guys are sort of match for him. Basic rule of thumb with six guys is being quick. We starts in the middle, 1, 2, 3, bang, bang, bang. Quick elbow to the right, uppercut to the fifth and the sixth guys starts running away. Reacher rushes to the diner and enters the wash room. Rinses his face, washes his hands and forearms. Looks into the mirror. He’s clean. “Shit” But there’s blood on his shirt. He walks back to the diner, Deveraux just arrives. She looks smoking hot. They sit down and order. She smiles and tells him that she saw everything from the hotel window. They talk about family and stuff, we don’t waste much time on the details, we cut to the scene where Reacher walks her home. Next scene is that they’re in Reacher’s room and they start kissing. They are adults, they do not rush things. They’re having a nice, long, passionate sex. We show quite a lot. They hear the midnight train coming. Faster, harder.Faster, harder.Faster, harder.Panting. Long and slow. Breathing hard.Panting.“Now, now, now” Faster, harder. The room begins to shake.

They have a second round in the morning. 7am Deveraux dresses up for work. Reacher gets a phone call from Garber and suspense music fades in when he informs him that they checked Deveraux out and apparently she was dating Riley, too. Reacher finds her in the police department. First he phones Munro, who confirms the rumours about Deveraux, thenReacher again questions the army’s involvement outside Kelham as he says that the car wreck was cleaned up by professionals. He invites Deveraux for lunch and an awkward conversation begins. Reacher doesn’t accuse Deveraux, but asks uncomfortable questions, which upsets her. They’re not engaging into a fight, because she gets a call from his deputy that they found another body near the army base. They drive to the scene where they find the body of the young Chapman boy. Reacher gets angry. This is the first time that we see him emotional. He loses it. He feels responsible as he suggested the boy to choose the army when he’s 18. They found a forded ID where his DOB is crossed over to fake him 18. Reacher goes on a hunt. He asks for a shotgun from Deveraux, who gets really worried about him. Tense electro music fades in as Reacher is searching in the woods, he’s following footpaths and signs, he’s very good at reading stuff on the field. Finally he finds three guys walking towards a stationed position point. Reacher climbs behind them and surprises them. He knocks one of them down and points the gun at the other two and asks them to drop their weapon. They turn around and he starts questioning them. They reveal that they are Tennessee troopers, their duty is to ensure that no one comes close to the army fence. They admit that they shoot the other guy accidently. Then Reacher asks them why did they have to shoot the unarmed boy, who meant no harm and came to join the army. One of the trooper laughs, shrugs his shoulder and spits on the ground and jokes a racist comment. “What are you gonna do about it, ha?” Reacher shots him in the head. He shots the second guy as well. Turns to the third and tells him to give a message to rest of his friend and get the hell out of this state. WE show the other side of Reacher, the ruthless soldier. He walks back to town. He phones Munro and Garber. He tells Garber on the phone that he has the name. He figured it all out. He doesn’t have the name, but he reckons it will be easy to find out if he’s right based on the following actions as he’s phone lines are probably hacked anyway. Phones Neagley to ask about Deveraux and she confirms that she used to date with Riley. Reacher walks to the police department and Deveraux gives him a warm hug and genuinely happy to see him. Reacher tells her what’s happening and also reveals the accusations. He acts calm and neutral, he’s not saying that he doesn’t believe her, but he clearly states that he’s not refusing to accept what the army claims about her. They go to the diner for dinner, Reacher gets a phone call from Garber saying that Fraser wants to see him in the Pentagon and tells Reacher that he’s mission is over. Reacher phones Munro and asks him to meet him tomorrow. Munro says that the Senator is coming over tomorrow afternoon, Reacher asks him to do him a favour, but he can’t hear what it’s about. Reacher goes back to Deveraux, tells her his plan. They’re having midnight sex again.

The next day we’re back to the Pentagon. Same room where we started the film.

After some small talk Frazer asks “So what do you got from me? Good news I hope”

“No news” Reacher says calmly. Frazer is surprised. “You told me you had the name. That’s what your message said”

“I don’t have the name”

“Then why say so? Why ask to see me”

“It was a shortcut”

Frazer pauses for a second then says “You look terrible. There are barbershops here, you know. You should go use one.”

Reacher smiles. “I can’t. I’m supposed to look like this.”

Frazer tells him that Reacher’s undercover duties are over. Reacher disagrees. “Three girls murdered, plus two more in a couple of days. I haven’t finished yet.”

“Yes, you are.”

Then Reacher changes his tone and unfolds his theory that some dirty money is flowing into Kelham, the place should be under the radar, can’t afford any publicity, Frazer ordered the special troopers to sort things out. It’s all a big cover up to make it look like a civilian thing. Frazer interrupts him and lectures Reacher about politics and things that have to be dealt with a different matter. Reacher is having none of it. Now Frazer is backing off acting like he doesn’t know what Reacher is talking about. Reacher says that he made mistakes, he didn’t trust him, he let others to interfere with his investigation, and when he lied to Garber he knew that Frazer would want an appointment. He would have asked him if he has a name, rather than asking whether he has the name, meaning that he knows exactly who’s guilty. At that Frazer talks about Reacher’s position, but he says that he’s a MP, he has the right to arrest Frazer if he’s involved. Frazer threatens Reacher and says that he has a gun and he intend to use it. Reacher leans back in his chair and calmly says that it’s not really a threatening position, plus he’s a heavy object to move, so Frazer would have a lot of explaining to do. Frazer is smart, he stands up and steps to one of the paintings on his wall, lifts the frame and opens up a small safe and reaches out for a hammer. Attempts three times to hit Reacher, but he ducks away before elbowing his neck. Frazer drops dead as he hits the desk. I second alter the door opens. Reacher is nearly having a heart attack. Tense music as we see the door opening and the person standing there is Neagley. She’s right on it. Reads the situation and tells Reacher to move the body towards the wall. She says that it seems like a genuine accident. He was nailing the picture on the wall, lost balance and fell back. They walk out and jump into the car. Reacher is worrying about his appointment, but Neagley tells him that all paperwork has been taken care of. Reacher is amazed. Neagley tells him that Deveraux phoned her and explained the situation. Neagley says that she knew that Reacher won’t let Frazer walk away with it

Reacher asks Neagley to check out on Deveraux again, he thinks that they just made up the accusations relating to Riley. Neagley jumps out and promises to call Reacher. driving back to the city. Next shot is that Reacher is sitting to the diner, three soldiers are coming in with guns. They point the shotgun at Reacher and order him to go back to Kelham. Reacher calmly says no. Tense music fades in. The phone rings. The waitress picks it up. Guns still pointing at Reacher. The waitress writes something down on a paper. Walks to Reacher and slides him the note, fast and easy. Reacher looks down. Seven words. Per United States Marine Corps Personnel Command. We can’t see the rest of the message. Tension grows. But Reacher smiles and says that he’s ready to go to Kelham. The next part of the film is exciting quick build up for the finale. We’re switching locations frequently, watching the Senator to arrive, giving speech at the base and stepping to the car with his son when the whole ceremony is over. , Munro, Garber and Deveraux working behind the scenes, Reacher stepping into the car. They are all lead to the same spot. Reacher’s plan is unfolding. Deveraux is working in blocking on one side of the railway road before Reacher’s car arrives to the crossroad. Garber arranges a phone call to make sure that Reacher is released. He steps out of the car and walks toward the railroad. Munro is working on ensuring that the Senator (Cooper) and Reed Riley’s (Kitch) car is blocked as well. Reacher walks up to the car. Points a gun at the driver and tells him to step out and leave. He steps into the car Points a gun to the Senator and his son. They having a conversation in which we reveal the whole motive behind the killings. The senator is outraged, his son is rather scared of Reacher. Riley doesn’t believe that Reacher would do anything to a man of his stature. But Reacher planned it perfectly. We hear the train coming. The Rileys’s becoming more anxious. The train is coming, the noise is louder. Reacher sits there calmly. The Riley’s trying to step out of the car, but the door is locked and Reacher moves his fingers on the trigger. He jumps out second before the train clashes into the car.

We cut to the police department office. Reacher says thank you to Munro and he departs. Then they discuss the situation with Deveraux, Reacher reveals that he was hoping all the time that she’s right and not involved, but frankly he had second thoughts, so apologises to her. They’re having a good goodbye sex. Reacher goes back to Pentagon to talk to Garber, who tanks him to sort the situation out and ensuring that the army’s name is not hurt. The blame is publicly on the Tennessee troopers, The Riley’s get a posthumous award after they died in an “accident” and get a proper military funeral. But for Reacher that’;s teh end. He can’t work for the army any more. Not after this. He thanks Garber and leaves the building. Narration fades in.

“I’m 40 years old, a citizen of a country I have barely seen, there are places to go, there are things to do. There are cities, there are countryside. There are mountains, there are valleys. There are rivers. There are museums, and music, motels, clubs, diners, bars and buses. There are battlefields and birthplaces, legends and roads. There is company if I want it and there’s solitude if I don’t. So I picked a road at random.”

We see Reacher putting one foot on the kerb, one in the traffic lane and sticking his thumb out. Music fades in Trent Reznor and Dave Grohl “Don’t Look Back”

The movie begins with a group of people, a woman in the forties, a young boy, a old lady and a 30's something couple. All of them are stucked in a Walmart type store. The young boy was looking for a camera. The movie begins in the moment he connects it close to the other people. They talk about it and that it was a good idea. And after that they talk about what is happening. The invasion began 13 hours ago. The aliens came silently, and the humam race only noticed the existence of another race on Earth almost 36 hours after the beginning of the invasion.

The aliens putted the Earth under a dark mist, and it is hard to go the streets, because nobody can see anything. The aliens entered inside humans heads and turned them on each others. The alien controled humans have read eyes and long arms, that almost reach the floor. Nobody ever saw an alien itself, just the humans controled by them. The group seems scared. They are tense. The movie follows the discussions and character changes of the group, and the dramas of their lifes and the lost friends and families in the invasion.

The group hears a noise in the warehouse of the store. They go there and see a small creature, probably not bigger than their hands. It had a mouth, four small hands and ten tentacles. The group is in shock. The young boy grabs an ax and chops the creature in half. There is some sort of green blood coming from inside it. The group is terrified and leaves the warehouse.

The old lady decides to kill herself by shooting herself in the head before getting controled by the aliens or getting killed by them in a very painful way. The young boy and the woman in the 40 hear the noise and they run to see what is happening, when they find out what happened they cry the death of the old lady, but they also feel that their time is coming to an end. The couple decides to run away from the store, and the young boy records their attempt to escape. Suddenly, they eyes turn red and their arms suffer a transformation.

This is when the woman and the boy realize the mist is what puts the aliens in control of the humans. The couple, now transformed, attacks the store sensing the existance of humans. They break a window. The two survivors run to the warehouse behind the store where they found the small creature and close the door. The creature is not there anymore. They cry knowing their fate is sealed. But they don't hear anything coming from outside.

An window breaks behind the woman and a giant tentacle catches her. The boy zooms in the image and watches in terror, as the tentacle goes away with the woman and squashes her, and we see a lot of blood and hear her bones breaking (this scene is showed in detail). The mist enters the warehouse, the boy drops the camera and runs and we see the former human couple chasing him. The movie ends.

Kyle (Spacey) has just retired and moves to a quiet home in the woods, away from it all. There he encounters Violet (Farmiga), a mysterious woman who helps him avoid certain death by the men who hunt him in that world, men who want to ensure the world is good for the taking. Kyle's life is put in jeopardy as those men pursue him through both worlds, and the two worlds begin to crash together for him, so that he can no longer discern one reality from the other.

A man is running down a dark tunnel, and there's a light at the end of it. He's getting closer to it and it becomes an opening to a cave, leading out to a sunny coast. The sound of a train is heard as the man races to get to the opening. He looks over his shoulder and there is a man in a suit pursuing him with a gun in hand. This causes him to run faster, and bullets richochet off the rock walls of the cave. The man is near the opening when suddenly light washes over him. The wail of the train screeches, and suddenly the train is all that can be seen on screen.A train is pulling into a station. Kyle and his daughter Rose get off. They find their rental car and drive out into a quiet wooded countryside. In the car ride, Rose is going over how odd it is that her father (Kyle) chose to move out here. Kyle says he just wanted a chance to get away from it all, and she asks what he's getting away from. Kyle says he just likes the woods, and Rose says she never knew that. They chit-chat a bit more, during which we understand that Kyle's wife has passed on a few years ago, and Kyle seems to be moving out here because he's just retired (so he says) from his business. Rose suspects he actually just quit, but either way she says it's good for him. It gives him a new perspective on things. The car drives along the road as it slithers through the forest, and at last comes to a black iron gate. Beyond is a large estate. The house is old looking but unused. As they park, Rose asks where his stuff is. Kyle thought the truck would be here by now, but he suspects it may have been delayed. They are greeted by the realtor who sold them the home. She says she was just touching up before they came and she says she's glad they made it safely. They walk around the house some more with the realtor talking about its history and they're not really paying much attention. It's a really big two-story house. Kyle looks at one door on the second floor for a while, but he gets called away by his daughter. Later, as she's getting ready to leave, she draws him aside and asks if he's sure he can take care of himself alone out here in the woods. Kyle says he'll be fine; he's taken care of himself for years now. She asks if he'd rather she spent the night with him, but Kyle says he wants her to go. She has a fiance to get home to. She says she loves him and they hug and she promises to stop back within the week to see that he's settling in alright. When she's gone, Kyle is all alone in the house. He looks around and realizes just out big and empty it is.At a series of white-walled buildings that make up an observatory, there are many people in black suits walking around. We are taken to Peter Erickson. Peter is in a board meeting with several people, going through a power point of his company's intended future plans. The presentation reveals a strange giant metal archway that he claims will have profound ramifications on the future. They ask him about it, and he claims he believes there may be a “world between worlds”, something like parallel dimensions, constantly streaming alongside our own existence. Those worlds could be reflections of our own world, and at times they may overlap. And when they do, anything could happen. “Ladies and gentlemen, I present the Next Dimension,” he concludes, and the lights turn on and theres some clapping. Afterwards, Peter is strolling down a hall with a secretary by his side, and she's telling him what he has on his agenda for the day, then she comes across something and says that Ryan was waiting for him in his office. He looks surprised, thanks her, and dismisses her. He goes in alone to his office, where Ryan appears in his fancy suit. “Well?” Peter asks, and Ryan says he was finished with. Peter asks if he's certain, and Ryan says he watched him fall of that cliff. Peter says that's good. The less interruptions, the more smoothly this will roll. Peter asks Ryan how soon he can get back there, and Ryan says he can access his Capsule in half an hour. Peter tells him he wants him to do some scouting; make sure there was no one else lurking around there. Ryan nods, and we see him hold on to a gun at his side, a futuristic piece of equipment.Crickets chirp at night. Kyle is in his kitchen eating canned food at the counter. It's quiet inside and Kyle muses, when suddenly he hears a scratching sound and realizes it's coming from the backdoor. He looks out and sees a dog there. Kyle first tells it to get lost a few times but it keeps returning to the door, so Kyle opens the door to give it some food and watches it eat. But it whimpers some more, and he opens the door and says it can come in, but only for the night. When the movers come, he wants it out. Kyle goes upstairs and the dog follows him. He's going to his room but turns around and sees the dog standing outside the double pair of doors. Kyle asks what it's doing, and snaps at the dog to move, and it goes into his room. Kyle stares at the doors himself, then walks off.Kyle wakes up in his bed sometime during the night. The dog is fast asleep. He hears a steady thumping coming from below. He turns on a flashlight and walks out the room, but the thumping grows louder and he realizes it was coming from the double doors. He gets closer and sees a mysterious white light issuing from under it. The dog trots over to him and for a moment the two of them just stand there looking at the doors and listening to the thumping, and then the noise stops, but the light remains. Kyle presses his ears against the door, then grabs the knob. He pulls the door open, and at once he and the dog are washed over in white light so that they are only silhouettes.And Kyle finds himself suddenly in a plane. He's alone in the coach section and looks around dazed. “How did I get here?” he says. He looks around the plane; it's peaceful. No one was there. He looks out the window suddenly and sees clouds, but then he notices the plane is dropping. The clouds give way to land below and a small city. Kyle rushes to the cockpit and finds no pilots there. “Of course there's no pilots,” he says, and then he freaks out briefly but gets control of himself and tries flying the plane. The plane keeps jerking around as it's getting closer to the city. Kyle tries pulling it up but to no avail. It starts levelling off, however, and it skids across an open field. As it does, the back half snaps off from the first and rolls around through the hills, splintering into pieces with loud screeches. The cockpit keeps roaming forward and is fast approaching a neighborhood. The ground gets churned up beneath it and sparks flare as it screeches down a street, but it comes to a stop. A shaken Kyle leaves the cockpit. He finds himself in an empty city street in broad daylight. He looks around, confused still, and walks away from the cockpit. He rushes toward houses where he sees the outlines of people looking out from windows. He calls out to them, but they stand motionless. He sees one on a porch and rushes toward it. It's black like a shadow and unmoving. He asks for help. He says he's lost. The man on the porch is still motionless. Suddenly, there's a whistling from overhead. He looks up to see a plane coming down from the sky. When he turns back to warn the man, the shadowy guy is gone. Kyle starts running as the plane fast approaches the neighborhood. He sees the silhouettes of people in windows but they occassionally flash away. He runs and the plane reaches the neighborhood. As it crashes, it flips over houses, decimating them, exploding on impact. Debris churns up and the broken plane keeps flipping, crushing more houses and spreading fire. Kyle looks up and ducks for cover as a part of the plane flips right toward him and suddenly he blacks out.Kyle wakes up in his bed early in the morning. He was wearing his clothes, and the dog is curled up next to him. He thinks it must have been a dream, so he goes downstairs as he hears the movers arrive. They help him to load things in. But once they get all the boxes in, they leave and he's left to put things away by himself. A montage plays out showing him setting furniture up, cleaning around. He goes into an old library on the first floor and finds the shelves coated with dust, but there's a book on one shelf that he picks up. It's about parallel worlds. Kyle looks at it with interest. Then he starts putting up pictures, pictures of him, his wife, his daughter, the great times they had together. He holds some of them for a few seconds before putting them on shelves. He goes upstairs and hesitates outside the double doors. Then he tries opening them but they were locked. He shakes the doors but they won't budge. He shrugs and goes back downstairs, to sit on the sofa by himself. The dog comes and curls up next to him, and Kyle says he thought he told the dog to beat it. The dog looks at him, then returns its head to Kyle's lap. Kyle sighs and says he thinks he'll call him Doppelganger. He turns on his TV, and at once is surprised to find a new report about two plane crashes in a small Pennsylvania city. One crashed just outside the city, and the other hit a neighborhood and killed 14 residents. No casualties from the planes themselves have been reported, and no one is quite sure how they got there when no planes were scheduled to fly over that zone at that time. Kyle looks at the screen in awe. That was the same neighborhood he was at last night.Peter Erickson is in his office when two men in black suits walk in. Peter asks if they've seen the news, and they shake their heads. Peter shows it to them, the report on the plane crashes. Peter says it was raising a lot of questions about where those planes came from, and frankly he wasn't certain himself. He says he didn't authorize this, not yet. They weren't ready to begin tests that large. The men apologize but say they didn't think they were linked to our world then. Peter says the two were tied together now. Parallel had become overlapping, and it was because of their Next Dimension project. He tells them that he's not here to berate them, though. He's actually very pleased to know it works. In fact, it may be working better than he had hoped. He asks where the planes did come from, and they say they flew them out of L.A. then left them over Pennsylvania. Peter dismisses them when Ryan steps in. Peter talks rather excitedly about how the test seems to be going quite well. This may just work. Ryan says he thinks there was someone there last night. “What do you mean?” Peter asks, and Ryan says he thinks he saw someone there. Peter asks if it could have been one of the Shadows, but Ryan says he saw him in the flesh. Peter asks who it was, but Ryan says he doesn't know. Peter says he wants him to find out, and if he sees him there again, he must kill him.Kyle is in his bed at night again with Doppelganger curled up beside him while he reads the book on parallel worlds. Doppelganger lifts his head as if at some noise, and Kyle asks what's wrong, sets down the book, and follows Doppelganger out of the room. They come once more to the double doors, and Doppelganger starts scratching at them and whimpering. There's some noise coming from beyond, like someone walking in there. Kyle tries opening the door and as it becomes more obvious that there's someone in the room, he tries more frantically and bangs on the door while Doppelganger barks. The noise stops and Kyle waits a moment just staring at the door. He tries it one more time then leaves. Doppelganger stays by the door, and there's a click sound from the other side, but Kyle doesn't notice.Rose arrives at the house the next day. Kyle gives her a tour around his now furnished house. She says it looks nice, and she likes all the pictures of mom. She asks her dad how he likes it here, and Kyle says it's very nice being out here in the wilderness. When Rose sees Doppelganger, she falls in love with him and thinks he's a stray, but Kyle explains how he just came in one night and never left. Rose laughs at his name and says that's no name for a dog, and she makes cute faces at the dog. When they go upstairs, Rose asks what's in the room with the double doors, but Kyle says he's not certain. “You mean you've never even gone in there?” Rose asks. Kyle says it's always been locked, and Rose says that's ridiculous and goes to open the door when suddenly there's a knock from downstairs. They both go down to see who it is, but there's no one there. Kyle says it was probably just the wind, but Rose says that was very odd; he didn't even have any neighbors out here. Realizing what time it is, Rose says she must be going home. She kisses her dad goodbye and promises to come back soon, then she scratches Doppelganger's head and heads out.Kyle goes back upstairs and stands by the double doors, then tries to open it. This time, it opens easily, as if the door had been unlocked. Kyle is perplexed, but he opens it and Doppelganger comes in with him. It's dark, and the light doesn't work, so Kyle's left to probe in darkness. There aren't any windows, but suddenly Kyle sees an odd dull glow. He approaches it and pulls back a white sheet to find an archway just humming there, a low buzzing coming from it and a pale blue light emanating from it. Kyle looks at it in awe and runs his hands along it. Suddenly Doppelganger starts barking at it, and Kyle asks him what's wrong. Doppelganger runs right through the archway and vanishes. Kyle's eyes widen, then he follows after.And finds himself alone in an empty field with tall weeds. He looks around, confused. He shouts out Doppelganger's name. Then he starts walking, and something unusual happens. As he walks, it seems as though he takes ten steps, so that he's suddenly many feet from where he was. He's quite impressed, and so he starts jogging, then running, speeding through the weeds, and moving like the wind. He laughs and says this is amazing, and he tries jumping. At once it takes him into the air and as though he's flying, he travels through open air for several paces then lands many miles away on a deserted field. There are trees some distance off, and as Kyle races toward them, they shrink and become little bushes instead, then blossom into beautiful trees before his eyes. The bushes “sprout” into giant trees, into Redwoods. Kyle laughs with merriment and runs through the trees. He comes to a clearing in the woods and shouts out to make an echo, his voice carrying in all directions in the Redwoods. He hears a crunch and looks around. Something brushes through the bushes. “Hello?” More crunching, and suddenly he sees a man approaching. Kyle asks who he is, where he is, and in response the man in the black suit raises a gun at Kyle. Kyle's eyes widen, but just as the trigger is pulled, Kyle swerves around. No bullet comes out, but something does. It slices through a tree, splitting it in two. Seeing this, Kyle panics and dashes off. More of the “ bullets” scissor past him, splitting trees in two, cutting up the ground. Kyle just narrowly dodges some and also the falling branches of trees. As he runs, the forest changes around him, becomes a weedy field. He gets lost and stops to catch his breath when suddenly the weeds rustle and two of the men in black suits approach, guns drawn. Kyle holds up his hands in surrender and says he doesn't want to play this game anymore, and the men raise their guns to him. Kyle closes his eyes but suddenly a gunshot fires and a bullet goes straight through one man, whips around in the air and hits the other, killing both. Kyle looks in awe, and suddenly a woman appears. She's beautiful. Kyle gasps at the sight of her. She tells him he can't be here. Kyle asks where here is, and she says that's not important. He must leave at once and never return here. Kyle asks how he can do that and why, but she says they don't have time. In the distance weeds are rustling, and she grabs Kyle's hand and, flash, they're suddenly in a room.Kyle stares around the room and asks what this is. The woman lets go of him and says she didn't mean to bring him here, but she couldn't think of anywhere else. She says she was stupid to bring him here. If they follow him, they'll know where she lives now. Kyle realizes it's an apartment high up in a city. He looks out the window at a city below, but it's oddly devoid of life, no traffic. Although he can see the outlines of silhouette cars below. He asks where they are, and the woman says they are in a place where he shouldn't be, then asks how he came here. He says he found a door-thing in a room at his house, and he walked through it and wound up in a field. He was trying to find his dog. He says he thinks he came here before, the night before that plane crash. She stares at him like she doesn't know what he's talking about. Then she says it's urgent that he goes back to his house and seals off that doorway. She tells him it's dangerous for him to be here. It's dangerous for her to be here, but at least she knows what she's dealing with. She gives him orders to go home and close that door and never think about it again, to leave that house if he must. All this at once, and it causes Kyle to explode cause he can't get a word in between everything she's saying. He shouts out for her to shut up, then apologizes. He says he didn't mean to get angry with her. He's just flipping out. He nearly got killed, he has not idea where he is, and he doesn't even know her, or anything that's going on. She sighs and says her name is Violet, and that this was not his world. He asks what she means, and she tells him that if he insists on knowing, he might as well sit down.Violet prepares breakfast for the two of them. As she cooks, she hums the poem “There Will Come Soft Rains” by Sara Teasdale, and she says that it's always been her favorite poem. He thanks her, and then she sits with him and they eat. Violet says that for many decades scientists have pushed forth the theory of multiple worlds and dimensions. Some have said those dimensions parallel each other, and that what happens in one dimension coincides with what happens in the parallel dimensions. In a parallel dimension, there could be a replica of what one finds in another dimension, like our own. There can be infinite parallel dimensions with infinite possible counteractions to every singular action for every single second. Kyle's impressed. Violet continues, explaining that scientists have tried very hard to prove this these parallel dimensions exist. They argued that a thin enough, but also sharp enough, blade could be used to cut into the “fifth dimension”, the form beyond shape and 4-dimensionality, a parallelism to our own world. But no blade could be made to cut through dimensional space, and so they set to work on perfecting the science of dimensional jumping. A few years ago they came up with a laser, a beam of light that could cut through space. And what it did was open a doorway to another dimension, some world just like our own, mirroring ours, parallel to ours. This allowed us to see into a parallel realm, one directly mirroring our own, and perhaps could let us go to many other parallel worlds. The laser was perfected into an archway, and three were made. They lent us access to this parallel dimension, and perhaps we could make one here to go to another parallel dimension to this one and to our own. But the scientists who worked on this disagreed over the way this should be handled. A dispute happened, and one scientist broke off from the others and tried to seal these doorways, believing they would be used maliciously. A man named Peter Erickson took charge of the project and has been attempting to use the parallel world to make secret operations in our own world. Erickson has gained government support for a secret project called the Next Dimension, to make a giant doorway into this world so that the U.S. Military can send missiles to foreign nations and strike without being seen. Kyle asks how that's possible, and Violet says that the worlds were supposed to be parallel, but by opening the pathway, we tied them together, so now they're overlapping and what happens in one world effects what happens in another world. Kyle says that explains the airplanes. Violet agrees, and she says that was Erickson's doing. She believes he was working not for the military's favor but for his own benefit. He could use this to his own free will because he can manipulate the next dimension to his bidding. Those men that tried to kill Kyle were his men.As if that was a summons, there's suddenly a loud knocking at the door. Violet tells Kyle they must go immediately. Kyle asks what's going on, and Violet says they found them. The knocking becomes a pushing against the door, as if they're trying to break it open. Violet flips the mattress as bullets rip through the door and slice through furniture. Then she grabs Kyle and rushes toward the window just as the door bursts open and men in black bearing guns rush in and open fire. Violet and Kyle leap through glass windows and start falling twenty floors toward ground. Kyle screams as the pavement fast approaches, but suddenly they flash...and wind up by a river. Kyle makes sure he is still alive, and then he shouts out, “What the hell was that!” Violet jerks him by the collar, and they reappear in a city square, the cars completely frozen in time. They jerk again and reappear in a woods, then jerk and reappear on a mountain cliff, jerk and they're in Time Square. The screens are all blank. Violet tells him they must walk now, but it's a brisk walk. All the people around them are silhouttes. They lack faces, and as Kyle approaches, they keep changing position. Kyle asks why they look like that, and Violet says it's because they are not in this world; they're in our own, and they're constantly moving. Kyle asks why they keep jumping around from place to place, and Violet says she's trying to make it hard for them to be found. But suddenly three men in black appear, and they shoot with the “bullets” that slice through things. Kyle and Violet get separated. The bullets rip through the silhouttes, tearing them in half. Another bullet tears through one of the giant blank screens, causing sparks to fly out. Kyle dashes through the crowd of silhouettes as more get ripped in half by the bullets. Violet shouts to him, then opens fire on the three men. She hits one in the shoulder, then grabs Kyle and flash, they reappear by a river. Violet asks Kyle if he is asleep in the real world right now. Kyle says he doesn't think so, he just came here through the doorway. Violet says that's unfortunate. She tells him he must never come here in the flesh like that. He needs to be sleeping so as to avoid being trapped here. But since he wasn't sleeping when he came here, she'll just have to knock him out. Kyle looks perplexed, and she says it will bring him back there. Then before he can say anything she hits him in the head with her gun.Peter Erickson is walking down a really long flight of stairs while talking with a man in white. The man is telling Peter that there was a technical malfunction that has set them back a few days on finishing the archway. Peter stops in his tracks and says he doesn't care about malfunctions; he just wants the damn door up and running smoothly and on time, or he'd get a new engineering team. He walks on by himself and finally Ryan approaches him and they walk while whispering. Ryan explains that he almost had the man this time, and he can identify him. He would have had him, but someone was there to help him, some woman. Peter is shocked and says he thought they made sure no one else was in there, but Ryan said she must have been hiding. They found where she was staying; it seems like she knows her way around there, and had been there for years. Peter asks if he got a good look, but Ryan says he thinks she was a Shifter. Peter wonders if it could be one of his employees, and he tells Ryan he will run a check to see if any women were accessing the Capsules during that time. He asks if Ryan can find where the man lives and how he's been getting in there, and Ryan says he already knows. He followed the source all the way back, and it leads to an opening in an old house out in the country. Peter tells Ryan to go there and fetch the man. He'll deal with the woman.Kyle opens the front door to let Rose in. She asks what was so urgent he had to call her abruptly over here. Kyle tells her to calm down, he has something to show her. She says he's freaking her out a bit, but he says it's really cool, but he doesn't know what to do about it. He doesn't think anyone would believe him. “Believe you about what?” she asks, looking at him oddly, and Kyle says all he can do is show her. He starts toward the stares when suddenly Doppelganger comes running down it. Kyle asks how he got here. He says he thought he lost him. Rose asks what he means, and Kyle says he went through the doorway and then he never saw Doppelganger again. He pets his dog happily. “What doorway?” Rose asks, and Kyle says that's what he wanted to show her. They go upstairs, Rose a bit uncomfortable with this, and Kyle stops before the double doors. He says he finally found what's in here, and it's very interesting. But before he can open it, Doppelganger starts barking loudly. “What's the matter boy?” Kyle asks, as he and Rose go back downstairs. Doppelganger is barking seemingly at nothing. Rose looks out the windows and says there's no one there. Kyle looks up in the air, and Rose asks what's going on. Suddenly, “something” hits Doppelganger. The dog whimpers and topples over, a bullet hole in its side. Rose screams and Kyle tells her to go now. They make for the door, but some invisible force knocks Kyle to the ground. Rose makes it outside and starts running when suddenly three black cars pull up and surround her. Men rush in and come dragging Kyle out. Rose asks what's happening, and Kyle tells her to get his attorney. The men shove Kyle into the backseat of a car while Rose watches in horror. Another man asks Rose to accompany her. She forces his hand off her, and he says he doesn't want to hurt her, but asks her to get in the car.Violet is looking at the house where Kyle lives. As she stares at it, a sad look appears on her face, as if she's recalling something. Suddenly, she sees a man in a black suit walk into the house. Violet knows this means trouble. She goes toward the house and enters through the backdoor just in time to see the silhouette of a dog being shot by the man in the black suit. Two silhouette humans, Shadows, start panicking and the man in the black suit, Ryan, knocks one down. As silhouette cars pull up outside and surround the other silhoutte, Ryan steps away from the silhouette on the ground. He has a gun, and Violet hides in the kitchen. Ryan starts searching the house, sniffing the air. He detects a weave, and he approaches and holds out a gun. He shoots it, and an arrow enters the weave (or opening) that's like a current in the air. The arrow splits into many that pry the weave open, and Ryan steps through to follow Violet.Rose is lead into a white building and taken to an interrogation room. She sits there for some time until finally Peter Erickson walks in. Rose stands up, but he asks her to be seated. He asks her if she knows anything, and she just demands to know what they're doing to her father. Peter says he's afraid he has bad news for her. Rose looks worried, and Peter explains that he believes her father was not psychologically “pure”. Something snapped inside him, and now it appears he may have some schizophrenic tendencies. Rose says that's ridiculous, but Peter insists that Kyle was displaying signs of paranoia and even insanity. Peter starts asking Rose personal questions about her father, but Rose insists he's fine. Peter says he fears it may have been innate, or perhaps it was set off by some prior tragedy. He asks now about her mother, about her death, and Rose is on the verge of tears as Peter keeps pushing through the interrogation. Realizing this, Peter apologizes and says that he knows this is hard for her. He's going to make it as easy as possible. He asks her if Kyle said anything odd to her, or did anything unusual. Rose thinks about it for a moment, and then she says he was trying to tell her something, or show her something. “And did he?” Peter asks, but she says he never did show her or tell her, but he seemed fascinated by it and said something about a doorway. She then freaks out and asks what the hell was going on back there. Something attacked the dog, and she didn't see what it was. Peter tells her that was a tragic accident and the man who shot the dog will be dealt with. She asks how the bullet came from nowhere, and Peter says the dog was shot after his men arrived and Kyle tried to fight them. Rose knows that's not what happened, but Peter calms her down and assures her they'll do everything possible to make sure her father is well treated.Kyle goes through a similar interrogation. At first some man is there forcing Kyle to talk, trying to make Kyle think he is insane. The questions become personal but don't establish that the next dimension is real, but rather that Kyle is delusional. Peter then walks in and breaks it to Kyle that he wasn't going to get out of this situation, that everyone would assume he just snapped and became insane. So he demands that Kyle start talking. He wants to know how he found out about this “next dimension” and who this woman was that helped him there and killed several of his men. Kyle says he's not going to tell him anything, and Peter says he's glad he's not denying that happened. Peter says that he will make Kyle talk, make him give him the identity of that woman, but Kyle says he refuses. Peter tells Kyle how he has such a nice daughter and he had a very interesting talk with her. Kyle shouts out that if he lays on finger on Rose he will cut that finger off, and Peter tells him to calm down. He wouldn't hurt Rose if he didn't have to. He just wants to find this woman and bring her to justice for killing his men, and he wants to make sure that Kyle doesn't go wandering about where he's not welcome. “Now...talk,” Peter demands, staring at Kyle intently.Violet is walking down a corridor in a white-walled building when she comes upon Rose sitting in a “waiting room” looking nervous. We can't tell it's Rose because it's only a silhouette, but the camera toggles back and forth between the two dimensions. Suddenly Rose feels as though there is someone in the room with her, and she gets noticeably scared when she feels Violet brush past her but sees nothing. The doors open and Peter comes in. Rose stands up at once and asks to see her father immediately. Peter says he doesn't think she can bear to see her father in the state he's in; they had to sedate him and tie him down. Rose gasps and looks appalled and demands again to see him, so Peter brings her to a hopsital room where Kyle is unconscious in a bed, strapped down. Rose goes to his side and tearfully asks him to wake up; she says she's scared and she doesn't believe what they're saying about him. Peter interjects that Kyle had a dangerous outburst, and they were just trying to help him. He reminds her though that she was free to leave at any time she wished. She asks to be left alone with her father, so Peter leaves.Some time has passed. It's night time now and Rose is dozing off in a chair in the room when Kyle's eyes pop open. He moans groggily, but suddenly there's a slight glimmer in the room, as of something moving, and there's a “shhssing” sound. Kyle doesn't say anything, but he studies the movement of the glimmer. It comes closer, and a soft hand touches him. “Violet?” he asks, and we see it is Violet in the next dimension, carressing Kyle's face. She has a knife and she cuts the bonds tying him to the bed. In the real world, Kyle gets freed, and the glimmer motions for him to leave. We see in the other dimension Violet is ushering him out of the hospital. Kyle stirs Rose awake and she gasps and asks what's going on; how did he get free? He says he'll explain later, but now they must leave. They make for the doors and rush out on the ward, silently creeping. But their silence is to no avail, because suddenly a security guard spots them and alarms are sounded. Kyle and Rose start running and men in black suits come out to pursue them. There is a surprise as suddenly a glimmer weaves between the men, and they all look at it in awe before they start dying, their necks snapping by some invisible force. In the other dimension, we see Violet strangling the silhouettes. Rose looks back and screams, but Kyle places a hand over her mouth and tells her they must go. They keep running, and as more guards come out, Violet places a grenade. The grenade goes off and shreds through walls and people.Kyle and Rose make it to the parking garage and are still being pursued, which leads to an exciting chase through the garage as they both try to avoid detection. Violet intervenes by making one of the cars explode from the next dimension. She puts a grenade in it. In the garage, it explodes and distracts the guards, and Kyle and Rose get in a truck and start driving. As others give chase on foot and in black cars, they race from the parking garage and out into the night streets. An exciting car chase unfolds, and in the next dimension, Violet weaves as she runs, jumping through time and space to land ahead of the cars. She sees a giant tanker on an 18-wheeler and does the unthinkable. She places both hands on it and concentrates, closing her eyes. The air around her weaves into a dome of matter, and she blinks out to reappear in a city street, with the 18-wheeler spontaneously coming with her. In the real world, Kyle just drives past as suddenly an 18-wheeler “plops” down from the sky and the two black cars slam into it. Fire cascades out in a brilliant explosion, and the 18-wheeler flips and rolls over, spreading more flames. Kyle and Rose escape down an interstate.Violet looks at the devastation from the other dimension. Even there she can see and feel the flames. Suddenly, a man approaches her through the flames. It is Ryan, and he wields a strange gun. He fires, and a blast of plasmic energy charges at her. She leaps out of the way, and the plasma bolt strikes a building and tears a massive hole in it. The building collapses from top down as beams supporting it are obliterated. Violet dodges around as Ryan fires another blast at her, this time hitting part of the interstate. The intersection above ground crumbles in. Ryan drops the gun and runs at her, weaves flowing about as the air whirls around him. Violet leaps up, her own weaves rippling through the air, and suddenly she focuses on another location. But Ryan grabs hold of her as she spirals down toward a river, and they both plunge into the narrow banks. There, they splash frantically, Ryan trying to drown her, but she bites him and kicks at him, and he releases her. She opens a weave and steps through.As the sun is rising through trees, Kyle and Rose are heading down the interstate through open wooded countryside. Rose is just waking up from a sleep, and she realizes what happened wasn't a dream when she sees they're in the black van still. She asks what the hell is going on, and Kyle says he doesn't think she'll believe him if he just tells her, so he'll have to show her. They arrive at his house in the country. Kyle says he regrets doing this because he doesn't feel like it's safe coming back here, but at the same time, he knows there's no better way of explaining and she probably won't believe anyways. So they're going to have to go in. He brings her inside the spooky old house, and they approach the second floor where they walk through the double doors. Rose keeps asking what all this is about and she freaks out and makes her dad stop cause she thinks he's acting crazy now, but he calms her down and just asks her to trust him. They reach the strange doorway, and suddenly a light is emanating from it. Rose looks at it in awe, and Kyle says they have to step through, and he leads a reluctant Rose by the hand. They step through, and the air around them flashes about through spirals of energy and light, until they wind up in a plain.Rose looks around her in complete awe. She asks what this place is. Kyle says it's just like their own world, something parallel to it, an alternate version of their existence. Rose is in disbelief and doesn't believe her eyes, but Kyle starts filling her in, telling her everything that happened, and informing her about who those men were they took them and what they're crooked plans were for this place. Rose walks around in that plain, and suddenly flowers start blooming in the fields, and the flower petals become butterflies as she takes more steps. It seems each step changes some part of the field. Rose just watches it all, soaking in the beauty of it. Kyle says something about this place causes time to go at a faster pace. You can watch as evolution unfolds around you. They take some more steps and come to a forest, and Rose looks on as the trees keep growing and growing.They stroll through the forest for a time, the sounds of nature welcoming, when suddenly an arrow whips through the trees and just barely misses Rose's head. Kyle asks if she's ok, and she shrieks. He grabs her and says they must go, and they start running not waiting to see who fired. Another arrow fires, followed quickly by two more. Kyle says the only way out is to concentrate on some other place really hard, and they'll end up there. He starts thinking, and he forms an image of Times Square in his mind, but as it comes into focus, something “jams” into him. A force of wind wraps around him so tightly and throws him, then holds him in place in the forest while Times Square is still materializing. At once, the two settings seem to converge, so that trees start sprouting up in Times Square. Kyle is no longer holding onto Rose, who has vanished completely from sight. Kyle shouts out her name, but suddenly his cries are muffled. Vines wrap around him and pin him to a tree in the middle of Times Square. And a man steps out wielding a bow. He asks Kyle how he found this place and who he is, and he releases the flows on Kyle's mouth so Kyle can talk and explain that he just came here with his daughter and he's trying to escape. The man asks what he's running from, and when Kyle says he's looking for Violet, the man asks how he knows her. Kyle says she saved his life twice now. He was a fool for coming here. He asks where his daughter is, growing panicky. The man cuts the vines and Kyle stumbles down. The man says his daughter got trapped out of the dimension. Kyle asks what that means, and the man explains that when he saw Kyle trying to open a weave to another location, he opened his own weave. The two cancelled each other out, which caused a giant merge of the two settings (hence a forest growing in Times Square), and Rose got locked out of the two, trapped between the weaves. Kyle asks how they can get her back, noticeably worried, and the man says they'll have to reverse the weaves, but they must do it quickly before she gets trapped permanently there. They have a very brief time; she may have already died. Kyle threatens to kill the man if they don't get his daughter back, so the man tells him to help him reverse the weaves.They focus on the forest only, and as they do the weave begins forming. The air ripples and the trees in Times Square begin to vanish. There's a flash, and suddenly Kyle and the man both blink back into the forest. Times Square is gone. Now the man directs Kyle to form a weave to Times Square, and he focuses and the two vanish and reappear in Times Square, no longer shrouded in forest. They find Rose lying unconscious on the ground and Kyle runs to her. He shakes her but she won't wake, and Kyle asks what's wrong. The man says he'll take her to get help, but Kyle insists he won't leave her side. The man asks how he knows he can trust him, and Kyle just pleads with him to help his daughter. Sighing, the man grabs them both and forms a weave, and they reappear inside a domed cathedral. There are others there, and they turn to look at the newcomers. A black man moves forward and shouts, “Speed, who are these people!” Speed, the man who brought them there, starts explaining what happened, but the others look outraged that he would bring them here. However, a woman, who we learn is Black Widow, says she can see that they need help. Kyle asks her if she can help, and Black Widow says she will do what she can and she takes Rose to help her. Kyle plumps down onto a pew, and the big black man starts asking him who he is and what he's doing here; Kyle tries answering but keeps getting more questions thrown at him. Speed says it's all his fault; he saw them in the woods and thought they were Erickson's people.The door to the cathedral opens and everyone whips their heads around as suddenly Violet strolls in. She says she trusts this man, indicating Kyle, but then says he was a complete fool for coming back here. She asks him what he thinks he was doing, and Kyle says he needed to get away. Violet says this place is where they would be looking for him. That house of his was already under security. Erickson would know by now that he was in this world somewhere, and he'd come looking for him. She expresses the idiocy of his actions and the danger they are all in. The black man, Romeo, suggests getting rid of this man before Erickson's people come looking for them here, but Violet says they may as well use him now. He knows too much to be left on his own. Besides, they couldn't return him to the real world. “This is the real world,” Speed says, and Violet stares him down and reminds him that it wasn't always that way, and that he was still a young man with his whole life ahead of him. She says he shouldn't waste it here, where time changed who you were. He should go home, to his fiance. Speed doesn't reply, and Violet changes her tone and says that for now they don't have time for that. They would have a lot of work ahead of them. She says Erickson was working on something big, and they would have to stop him.We see Capsules, tanning-bed-like tubes lined up in a dark room. Some are closed, and in them the people are sleeping in bluish light. One of the tubes opens, and Ryan rises from it. He stretches and cracks his fingers, then heads out of the room. // Erickson is in his office speaking with a woman employee. He's asking her a series of questions about what she was doing at certain times, trying to connect the dots in her life. She seems offended by the questions and asks why he's interrogating her, and Erickson says it's a matter of internal affairs, and he has to sort out the bad apples. She is appalled, but he says that if alibis prove accurate, she has nothing to fear. He dismisses her and calls in the next lady, an older lady. He asks her how long she has been working here, and she says she's been employed in this study for 42 years. He starts asking about her involvement in the Next Dimension project, and she revels about how enthused she is to be a part of it. By the end of her discussion, Peter can't seem to bring himself to ask her the difficult questions, and he tells her that it was an honor to have a dedicated worker like her on this project. He calls for the next, and we go outside his office to a waiting room, where we see many women are waiting to be called into his office. // We go back to the Capsules, and we focus on one Capsule closely. A woman is lying in it, seemingly asleep, the blue light making her appear youngish, but we see some wrinkles on her face.When Rose comes back around, she finds Black Widow nursing her and making sure she is alright. Rose asks what happened, and Black Widow just tells her not to worry her head about it and comforts her. Kyle comes in and seeing his daughter, he embraces her. They go out into the main part of the cathedral to find Violet talking with the small group of people. Rose asks what all this is, and Kyle says these people were friends, people who wanted to make sure that Erickson didn't get away with what he was intending to do. Violet smiles warmly at Rose, and she introduces herself. She tells Rose that she has very nice eyes, and Rose thanks her and says they were her mother's. Violet tells Rose that it is unfortunate that she was placed in this position, but since she is here, there's nothing they could do about it now. Erickson would try to use her, or harm her, now that she was here, so they would protect her as best they could, but they would need her help also. Rose says she would do what she could, but she's still in disbelief over all of this. A weave opens suddenly in the cathedral, the air spinning around it to show a setting of a white-walled building with a room lined with Capsules, when suddenly a man steps through and the weave shuts off. The man is panicky and he says Erickson's men may be onto them. They're investigating all the women. They know it was one of Erickson's employees who helped Kyle escape. Violet says this is not good news, but Speed seems more panicked. He pushes the man who came and calls him a fool. He knows not to open a weave from there to her directly. It makes it easier to follow. Too late. At once the weave starts re-opening. Electric sparks spin out and the air spins in that spot as suddenly an opening forms, and Ryan steps through wielding a giant gun from which plasma spins out. He opens fire, hitting the man who came through before him. He disintigrates into ash.Everyone in the cathedral starts dodging Ryan's blasts, but the cathedral begins to cave in as the plasma bolts bring it down. Kyle keeps hold of Rose. Ryan starts heading toward them, gun drawn at the ready, when Romeo attacks him, ramming him from the side. The two men start fighting, but it ends with Ryan stabbing Romeo with a dagger from his shoe. He returns his attention to Kyle and Rose, but they flash away as Black Widow grabs them. Ryan looks around and sees Violet still there. She whips her head around, sensing the air, and there's a screeching in her ears like a jet's roar. She closes her eyes, and gets jerked out of that place.The door to a Capsule opens and a lady gets out. A man shakes her awake. She looks at him. She's old, like 60, and the man tells her that Erickson was coming into this room now. He believes there may be a woman in here, and if he found out it was her, he'd know she was acting behind his back. He tells her they must go at once, and so they start to head out, but Violet stops and stares at the Capsules. She says they would try stopping Kyle, and so she starts unplugging the Capsules. The man stares at her in horror; he says that will kill them. They'll lose oxygen. Violet says it's there only option, but suddenly the doors to the room start to open, and they have to go before they can unplug all the Capsules.Kyle, Rose, and Black Widow land inside a white-walled corridor. Black Widow says they must act now to try to stop Erickson while he wasn't focused on this place, and they race down corridors until they come to a giant room where a large portal stands, not yet open. In the real world, scientists work on it, trying to perfect their opening to the Next Dimension. Speed appears there in the next dimension, and he says that Violet got jerked out. They must be onto her. Black Widow says they'll have to do this themselves, and she tells Kyle and Rose that she needs their help stopping this thing. They head down into the lab and start planning out a way to destroy that doorway, when suddenly guards rush in. They are in the next dimension also because they appear there in the flesh, not as silhouettes. A fight breaks out as gunshots are fired, and equipment gets hit. In the real world, the scientists panic as invisible bullets ricochet around them and wreak havoc. Sparks and flames race everywhere. In the next dimension, suddenly some of the guard start to topple from weakness. Black Widow explains that their oxygen supply must've been cut off in the Capsule room, and they were dying from it. But not all do, and the fighting grows intense as they race around the chamber. Speed is engaged in a tense fight with two men and Kyle is protecting Rose. Suddenly, Ryan appears and opens fire, shooting Black Widow. She topples over, and Kyle rushes to her side. She tells him it wasn't any use now. They had to get out of here; they didn't have enough help to destroy the door. Then she dies, and Kyle grabs Rose and the two dodge some bullets and sparks. Ryan pursues them around the chamber, but they race down a corridor. Ryan comes after them, and they race right to a window and leap out. As they start to fall, they flash ahead and land on the roof of the building across the street. Ryan stares at them, then leaps there himself, crash-landing on the roof. They keep leaping from roof to roof, flashing through the air. Kyle holds onto Rose's hand the whole time while she screams. Ryan chases after, firing bullets at them and trying to grab them.A metro-train rides above ground and people are going about their everyday common route on the train, midning their business, when suddenly there's a giant thud on the roof, followed by another, and the train creaks in that compartment. In the next dimension, Ryan confronts Kyle and Rose on the roof of a compartment of the metro-train. He tells them to give themselves over, but Kyle says he won't come with him. Ryan says he didn't intend on bringing him back, and he points his gun at Kyle. Suddenly, the train jolts. They flash down into the compartment, and in the real world, glimmers of people-like outlines push people about and cause chaos inside the compartment. In the next dimension, Kyle, Rose, and Ryan knock over silhouettes and then flash to the next compartment. Ryan grips the sides of the compartment and concentrates with a roar. Suddenly, the compartment vanishes. In the real world, we see the metro-train, and suddenly one compartment from it just whips out of existence, and the compartments behind it tumble off the above-ground tracks and begin flipping over into the street, rolling over cars and scattering people.The compartment reappears, crashing into the ocean. Kyle and Rose are descending into the water and Ryan is preparing to flash out, but Kyle grabs him and starts pulling him down. Rose's grip falls and she sinks into the water. Kyle shouts after her, but Ryan starts pounding him. The two of them fight and start falling beneath the water, still fighting underneath the surface. It's chaotic, and they're both drowning, but Kyle manages to surprisingly get the upper hand and he pins Ryan to the wall, then wraps a loose piece of metal from the compartment around Ryan's throat. Ryan struggles to unhinge himself but suffocates. Back in the Capsule room, we see Ryan's body jerking inside his capsule, and water starts pouring out of his mouth. Erickson comes into the room and has the door to his Capsule opened, but it's too late. Water is leaking out of the Capsule, and this causes sparks to ignite. When they pry it open, Ryan is lifeless inside it, drowned apparently.Back in the compartment, Kyle finds Rose pinned to the ground, trapped under several silhouettes. He struggles to pull her up, but her foot is stuck. Kyle resurfaces for breath and tries banging on the door to get it to open, then goes down to get his daughter. He manages to pull her out this time. They make it back up to the top and struggle for breath but the water level rises to the roof. They're both passing out but Kyle is motivating Rose to stay awake, even though he himself is losing consciousness also. He tries picturing soemwhere else, tries going there, but he's losing consciousness. He holds on tightly to Rose, and her eyes close. The last bubbles escape her mouth. And...flash. They reappear on a barge floating on the water. Kyle tries waking Rose, shaking her, putting breath into her lungs. But only water comes out. Kyle holds her head in his lap and tears stream down his face. “Please, please wake up,” he tells her, sobbing. He shakes his daughter, not believing it. But she won't recover. She's limp in his arms and he's crying over her dead body.Kyle appears on a hill overlooking the ocean as the sun is setting. He digs a hole in the ground and gently lowers Rose's body in. Then he piles dirt back on it and sits on top of the mound for a while, staring out at sea, and he talks as if to Rose. He reminisces about the times they used to spend, bringing up memories from childhood, and times they all had as a family, when her mother was alive too, and he has some tearful laughs remembering good times. He tells Rose he'll miss her, and he starts sobbing some but pulls himself together.Erickson storms into the chamber where the door is being constructed. He is outraged and starts shouting at the guards, berating them, and then turns his attention to the scientists and ask if things are still operational. They say they are, and Erickson gives the order to go ahead and open the doorway. There's no time to waste anymore. They say they're not sure if it's ready, but Erickson says it's time to find out. And so they turn some switches, and a whitish light starts emanating from the large circular archway, growing brighter and brighter until Erickson and others are just silhouettes and then the whole screen becomes white.An old Violet, who we now see is really in her 60s, pulls up to a cabin in the woods. She gets out of the car and walks hesitantly toward the door. It opens before she reaches it, and an old man stares back at her. “Silos,” she says somberly, and he studies her, says her name, and asks what she's doing here. Violet says she needs him, and Silos tells her that that's a laugh; she needs him now, but when he needed her she left him. Violet asks if she can come in, but Silos shuts the door in her face. She tries again and pleads, saying it was urgent. She says Erickson was going to open the archway. Silos opens the door again, and he tells Violet to come inside.Violet walks into the cabin and Silos gives her some tea. As he pours it, he's humming the poem “There Will Come Soft Rains”, and Violet closes her eyes to take the poem in. Silos asks her to explain what's happened since he left. Violet says that Erickson has gone rampant with power. Without Silos there to countermand his actions, Erickson has had free reign to use the next dimension to his heart's content. When Silos is told some of the heinous acts Erickson has allowed to transpire in the next dimension, he slams a hand down and proclaims that this is outrageous. He says he never should have left the company, and it's absurd that after five years it has come to this. Then he starts berating Violet, telling her that she should have stuck to his ideals and fought Erickson every step of the way. Violet said she has been doing that, but she couldn't come straight out and reveal that she was Silos's wife. Then Erickson would have known all along that it was she who had been working against him. She explains that she has gathered a following inside the next dimension, people who are working against Erickson's plans. Silos still argues that she should have been there for him, but Violet says she has been, if not in person, than in spirit and meaning. She tells Silos that she needs his help now. Silos says he will not go back to that place; it changes people, makes them lustful and dangerous. Erickson was a living example of that. Violet says they could be together again. She starts appealing to her husband's romanticism, reminiscing about their youth. She tells them they could be young lovers there forever. If they go, they could be young and free once more, and they would have each other and always be together. Violet holds onto Silos, almost begging him to come with her, to help her. Silos stares long into her eyes, and then he says they will go.Silos reveals a doorway in the woods near his home. He says he brought it here after leaving his previous home, which we know now to be the house where Kyle lives. He meant to deactivate the doorway there, but he barely escaped that place with his life. They step through the doorway, and they reappear in a cave. Waves crash at the surface of the cave, and an old Silos and Violet walk to the opening of the cave. With each step, they get younger and younger, until by the time they reach the opening, Violet looks as young as she has throughout the movie, and Silos equally young.There is a bright light in the distance. Kyle stares at it and focuses on it. He reappears near the light, looking down on it from a mountain. Suddenly, he's not alone. He turns and Speed is there. Speed explains that the archway was in this world now. Erickson could use it to move anything through it. They look down toward the bright light, where the outline of the circular archway is apparent. Kyle grows livid and says he will kill Erickson, but Speed holds him back. He says they are too few in number, but Kyle says he doesn't care. He wants to see Erickson suffer. He concentrates hard on the light below.Erickson stares around him at the next dimension. The light is bright here but it starts to fade to normal tones. Erickson claps, and the others clap with him. He says it looks like it was fully operational. Now for a test. Two planes are suddenly there, and Erickson orders two men to take them. They board the planes, military jets bearing missiles. Erickson reminds them of the target, and the jets take off. Erickson says this place would be perfect. Shortly after the jets take off, a weave suddenly appears and Kyle appears, the mountain fading behind him. Erickson wheels around to face him, and he says this is ludicrous. He draws a gun himself and is about to shoot when a weave splits open right behind him, then to the left and right, continually opening and closing so that Erickson is confused and Kyle has time to duck for cover. At last Erickson fires through the weaves, the same bullet going in and out of weaves so that it's chaotic. Speed appears and swings at Erickson, but as Erickson fires at him, Speed disappears. Gunshots start ringing out as at once more people arrive, and then Erickson's men start fighting back, gunshots ringing out, weaves opening and closing, people jumping about from setting to setting.Kyle sees a nuclear warhead being brought in through the archway. There, the two worlds seem to click together. Kyle is studying for some way to seal off the door as the warhead is being brought into this world. Then he winds up engaged in a fight with a man, and the two of them open a weave and reappear in the sky, falling as flipping over each other. As the ground rushes up on them, Kyle focuses elsewhere just as the other man slams into the ground. Kyle reappears by the archway, then shifts out again as a bullet almost hits him. He keeps jumping about like the others. Several settings start blending together. A city seems to be sprouting around them, but suddenly mountains start rising through the city as people's openings cut each other off. Some people get torn apart as two openings tie together around them. Mountains crush the city so that all around the area, skyscrapers start tumbling in heaps. Everyone is running about in a mass panic, still opening weaves to other places.Erickson raises a gun at Kyle's back and is about to open fire when suddenly Silos approaches Erickson from behind and softly tells him to put the gun down. Erickson recognizes the voice and looks over his shoulder. He is surprised to find Silos here, having figured he was dead, and wonders how he got here. Silos tells Erickson that he was letting this get way out of hand, and it was time to give up now. He couldn't do what he wanted to do, but Erickson tells him that he would make the world realize who he was, the significance of his life in history. He would not be forgotten. Silos tells him he is making a mockery of himself and will disgrace his name and that of science if he goes through with this. Silos tries appealing to Erickson by talking about their history together and how Erickson's father was a great, but flawed man, and how Erickson could stand up and make a difference. This goes on for awhile while around them dust and debris rain down from the collapsing city, and fires race out as still more mountains splinter up from the ground. Silos asks Erickson once more to lower his gun, and Erickson does. Violet appears by Silos's side, and she tells Erickson he was doing the right thing. Erickson studies them both, then raises his gun at Silos instead. He says that he wasn't going to let him stand in his way of glory. He should have done this long ago. He starts to shoot when a bullet hits him in the back. He gasps and then collapses. Kyle stands there wielding a gun. He sees Violet and he asks her if she's alright, and he walks toward her. Violet tells him he must go now. He must find who he can and get them to leave. It wasn't safe here. She tells him where the cave was, so he can focus on it in his mind, and it would take him out of here. She asks that he never look back, never think back on this. Kyle asks what she's doing, and Violet tells him to just go. Already Silos is approaching the archway. He starts activating switches on the warhead, so that now it turns around and faces the archway. He turns to Violet and says they don't have time. Those who can go must go now. Violet and Kyle stare at each other, and Violet tells Kyle to leave. Kyle doesn't want to go, so Speed grabs him and he says it's time to go. Around them, the setting of chaos vanishes to become the calm cave.The two jets are flying over Washington D.C. One of them is approaching the White House and is locking a missile on it. The pilot says he has eyes on his target and is ready to fire. The other fighter gives him confirmation to go. He locks onto the White House but out of nowhere a plane drops down from the sky right on top of the jet, and the spiral out of control and crash right through the Washington Monument. It collapses under their weight, and the jet explodes from the pressure. The plane and jet crash into the reflection pool and skid across. In the real world, we see people fleeing as water splashes up and the Washington Monument crumbles. Back in the next dimension, the other fighter jet is surpsied but returns t its target, the Capitol Building. It locks on target.Silos and Violet stand together as chaos still reigns around them. A timer is counting down on the warhead from ten. The two hold each other, and Silos says they should be themselves again. And as they stare at each other they become their old, true selves again. The warhead is aimed directly at the opening. Silos and Violet both say they love each other. 3....2...1. A bright light as the warhead impacts the archway. Light spreads out everyhwere. The jet in D.C. Is suddenly obliterated. At the cave, Kyle and the few survivors walk through the doorway. Kyle goes last, looking over his shoulder as light fills the far opening of the cave and starts coming in, then Kyle dashes through. On the other side, the doorway just dies out, becoming a hollow shell with no glow around it anymore. Kyle collapses on the ground, unconscious.In the next dimension, there is whiteness and a loud whistling, and then a sonorous boom. The whiteness rushes in on itself and converges to a singular point, the archway connecting the two worlds. Then it vanishes into nothingness.A voiceover of the poem “There Will Come Soft Rains” plays in the background as shots of nature show, shots from our world. Then we are taken back to that next dimension at the end of the poem, when out of the darkness there comes a small, faint light in the middle.

Plot:

Dale (Norton) steps into his office and consumes his every day tea and donuts, he gets a strange phone call from his boss' wife. It’s Ashley (Lane) who’s calling. Dale thinks that it’s a sick joke and hangs up. Phone rings again. It’s Ashley again. Dale thinks he’s still dreaming, but that’s not the case. She says that she urgently wants to talk to him, they need to meet up as soon as possible. She sounds quite desperate. The same conversation they had in the beginning of the first film. A minute later his a secretary storms into the office and informs him that they need him at a crime scene. His boss and mentor, Kenneth Welsh (Bell) is waiting for him outside the building in a car. Dale is in shock. Now he thinks that he somehow got back in time, but that’s not the case as Welsh and Robertson (Quinto) appears the next minute. They are both having a weird smile at their face. “What the hell is going on” screams Dale. Welsh starts clapping. “The journey towards your recognition for the truth. Guilt. Without guilt, there’re wouldn’t be sin. It’s time for you to see clearly your role, my friend. You can only think in Good or Bad, you don’t realize that you don’t want to destroy the Evil, how could you? You want to convince yourself about the world without God. Well, here I am. Welsh turns into a symbol and Robertson stands close to him, looking like Jesus. “Now the answer is simple, if I am God, you has to be…”

And then everything becomes clear to Dale. We see the flashbacks of his whole life, while a Saw-type, revealing dynamic music fades in, we see Welsh mentoring him and Dale going against him. We see how Welsh was fighting against crime, while Dale started to be interested in it, we show the scene from the first film when he was student and on the way home, he bumped into a little girl’s body in the dark alley. He KILLED the girl. Then joined the FBI. We see the flashback of the FBI case when they follow the lead to a brutal murder in a small town, the FBI agents are searching for a missing girl in the woods. Dale found the girl tied up to a tree. She's naked, rapped and frozen to death. But she wasn’t dead. She was alive, but Dale let her die. He kidnapped Ashley. He then took her from his mentor and seduced her. We see the flashbacks of the old men in Pueblo, who told him “La muerte, la muerte” before he hanged himself. Because he saw that Dale IS the DEVIL. Robertson and Welsh did indeed killed people, but those people where sinners, who says that God is innocent and Ashley was murdered by Welsh, because she betrayed him, then he pretended to be insane when he realized that he can’t kill the DEVIL, he can’t kill DALE. He tried to tell him that God’s not innocent, there are no such thing as just Good or Bad, they should work together to keep the right balance, but Dale refused to do so. He tried to kill Welsh, but he obviously couldn’t.

“Finally, truth came to you, Dale Castaway!” – shouts Welsh. “So are you coming with me partner or you going on your way, alone, stating everlasting war with me?”

We’re zooming on Dale, who gives us an ambiguous EVIL smile.

Opening credits fade in: VAST DARK - FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE

Dale tells Welsh that he'd rather fight as he knows that maybe Welsh is immortal, but people around him aren't and Ashley's recent appearance was just an illusion, she's dead and nothing can change that. He vows to fight and take down the people around Welsh/God, starting with Robertson. Welsh and Robertson disappear.

We introduce a new character. The new boss at the FBI HQ arrives and takes over Welsh's position. Hank (Wilson) starts with a friendly chat with Dale. He says that he read his file and suggest him to take as many time off as he wants. dale says that he's fine and ready for work. We show a little bit of social life of the character and a new love interest appears, Allison (MacAdams). We build up the romance all way through the film, but nothing serious happens as Dale is afraid to let anyone close to him knowing that he might put that person in danger.

A cop gets murdered brutally. Hank and Dale starts the investigation. At the beginning they get along well, but soon the differences lead to rows. They investigation is going nowhere, which frustrates Dale and when Hank runs a side investigation that reveals that the victim was a corrupt cop, Dale hits out at Hank saying that he's not focusing on the right thing.

Another murder. A local priest gets shot. This seems like a separate case and we get to see Dale getting more and more frustrated. The tension between him and Hank grows. His nightmares are getting back, we see two tense, horror illusions, Dale starts to question reality again, but spending time with Allison helps him to regain his composure.

When the next cop gets killed and one day later another priest dies, the clues are getting clear for Hank. The two agents are running two different investigations and we follow their paths to the truth. Dale figures out who could be the next victim and after some tense ten minutes basement sequence he captures Robertson. Meanwhile Hank faces a serious problem. When he connects the dots the answer to the priests killings are crystal clear: DALE is the MURDERER. We're all set for a grand finale. Dale starts torturing Robertson taking revenge for the events that took place in the third film, even though those weren't real, Dale doesn't care. Throughout the film, we see Dale transformation, he becomes the villain. So the premise of the franchise changed. The first three films we thought it's Good vs. Evil, now we have two villains, God is punishing corrupt cops, Devil is taking revenge on religious preachers. Hank is the only balance to reality and the kindness of humanity.

We reach the peak point when Welsh appears in the basement where Dale is torturing Robertson. Soon Hank arrives to the spot. dale reveals him everything, Welsh is preaching about God's will about cleansing the rotten members of the society to cause more harm on innocent. Welsh underlines that his actions are saving lives. Hank has to choose. Will he stand up next to the Devil/Dale or will he accept God/Welsh's explanation and join him to get rid of the scum that destroys society? Dale's turns to him and gives a poetic speech "Now let's get this Devil business straight, once and for all. To begin at the beginning: the notion of God, one might say, has changed aspect over the years, until it has either become so vague that it has faded away altogether or else has turned into something entirely different. Hell has always been a most suggestive sort of place; but people don't understand that it can not be located anywhere else than on earth. Hell is created by human beings — on earth!"

Then Welsh is talking about faith and the importance of not revealing God's true nature as it would be a catastrophe. He also says that "One can't live in two worlds. One has to choose."

Tense, finale theme fades in and we're zooming on Hank. He tears his shirt. A massive cross hangs around his neck. "I always believed in God" he says. Welsh smiles. Hank lifts up his gun. "A man with with faith is powerful. But a man, who's faith have been broken is weak. I am weak, my Lord." He points the trigger at Robertson and shots him in the head. He aims the gun at Welsh, but the lights turn off and we can't see anything. Hank fires. When the lights are back on, we can only see Robertson's dead body, Welsh disappeared. Dale turns to Hank and tells him that he made the right decision. He puts his hand on his shoulder and they walk out to the street. They walk past a church, where we can see a lot of posters advertising the Sunday mass. Dale gives us an evil smiles and whispers to Hank. "We have a lot of work to do."

Meet Walter and Suzanne, two 70-someodd “lovers” who have been married for 40 years now and who live alone in their quiet suburban two-floor house in Boston. We open on the couple eating dinner together. They don't talk during the supper, don't even really acknowledge each other. Suzanne is reading from the newspaper, and Walter watches the TV over the counter. We then cut to the couple in the den, sitting in chairs on opposite sides of the fireplace. Suzanne is reading a romance novel while Walter is again watching TV but occasionally dozing off to “I Love Lucy.” He grunts when he gets up to go get a glass of tea, and he asks Suzanne if she wants anything but she says she's fine. We then find the couple in bed upstairs. Walter is watching TV and Suzanne is putting on lotion. She tells Walter it's time to turn off the “tele”, and he says fine and turns it off with a huff. They turn the lights off and go to bed.

Walter visits the local grocery store, where the clerk recognizes him as Walter and is very happy as he talks to him, but Walter doesn't say much, and the clerk tells him this one's on the house. Walter grunts a thanks to the kid, and then leaves. As he's walking to his car, he sees some kids on skateboards. He watches them for a moment, then gets in his car and returns home. There, he finds Suzanne cooking in the kitchen. She doesn't say much when he brings the grocery's in, just that dinner will be ready in an hour. Walter goes to the den and turns on the TV.

During dinner, there is no talking for a while, then Suzanne proclaims that Margaret was going on and on about her yoga class again. Suzanne scoffs at this and says that that woman was too old to be doing yoga with the hipster crowd. Walter just shrugs it off, and Suzanne just continues talking as if she's talking to herself, for now perhaps she is because Walter's not listening, and Suzanne's not paying him any attention anyways.

The mailman greets Walter kindly the next day but Walter just takes the mail and thanks the young man but doesn't say anything else to the kind young lad. When he goes into the den, he finds Suzanne as always reading from her book. Walter looks through the mail. All junk mail, with some advertisment about a cruise trip that summer. Walter places it all on the side table and takes a seat opposite Suzanne and turns on the TV.

Walter is out at the country club with the guys. They spend some time on the golf course, then head into the sauna. Some of them tell some jokes about their wives, their cooking and their laziness in bed, and one talks about those viagra pills and how stimulating they are, and they all tease him. Here Walter seems to talk a bit more, even making some jokes himself, and he seems really at ease and quite nice, laughing with the other old men. On the car ride home, he is listening to the radio when suddenly he sees an ambulance parked outside his house. Walter steps out confused and watches as Suzanne is wheeled into the back. “E-excuse me sir,” Walter says, and he asks the paramedic what happened. He explains that the mailman called, said he saw the old lady passed out on the living room floor. Walter watches as the ambulance takes off, and he looks back at his house. There are neighbors outside watching him.

He's in a waiting room, and the doctor comes in. “I'm afraid I have some bad news,” the doctor says as Walter stands up. We flash ahead to find Walter in the room with Suzanne, who's still asleep. She comes around and she asks Walter if he was there, and he says it was him. Suzanne extends her hand and asks that he hold it, and he does. He says it's going to be ok, but Suzanne says the doctor told her she had only a few hours left to live. She tells Walter that she's sorry. Walter doesn't say anything, and Suzanne apologizes for leaving him like this. Walter then says it's not her fault. He says he loves her. She says she loves him. She feels weak and tired and coughs a bit, and a nurse comes in to tend to her while Walter watches from the corner. Sometime passes, and we find Walter again there, and now there's a slow beeping on the monitor, and then it becomes a flatline. Suzanne lies motionless on the bed, and Walter just looks at her.

Walter opens the door to his house and walks in. It's empty. He goes to the kitchen and looks around in the fridge. He find some leftovers and heats them up. He sits at the table, the TV on, eating while he watches. Later he falls asleep in his armchair in the den while watching TV. Suzanne's romance novel lies unfinished in her chair. Groggily, Walter gets out of his chair, goes upstairs, and goes to bed. He turns out the lights. The space next to him is empty.

“I'm sorry about your loss,” the mailman finishes saying as he's handing Walter the mail. “When's the funeral?” “Saturday,” Walter replies. He takes the mail and thanks him as the mailman is talking about how she was a really nice woman. Again it's all junk mail. He sets it down on the side table and goes back to watch TV in the den by himself.

At the funeral, we see several people giving Walter their condolences. He thanks them but doesn't say much, and they assume it's cause he's hurting inside. Some days later, we find Walter looking around his house once more for some food, and realizing he doesn't have any, he goes back to the grocery store. The young man is there again, and he tells Walter that he heard what happened and he's really sorry. “This one's on the house, too,” he says. When Walter goes home, he accidentally knocks the side table by the door over when he's lugging the groceries in. He picks it up and finds the mail on the ground. He starts digging through it when he sees the cruise advertisement again. Walter looks at it. That evening he makes a call to a travel agency. He asks about their best plan and how soon he can take the cruise.

Walter is at the golf course again with his buddies. They say they're glad he could make it. He said he wouldn't miss it. After a while, they talk about their plans for next week's game. Walter says he's not going to be able to make it. He says he's going to go out of town for a few days, maybe a week. He had some business to tend to. They seem to understand, and Walter bids them farewell.

He walks through the airport by himself, gets on the plane alone, and rides the plane next to a fat man. He just tries to sleep but can't and so he stares out the window at the clouds. When he gets off the plane in Miami, he sees a young couple walking hand in hand. They seem like newlyweds and are excitably chatting. Walter watches them grab their luggage and head out. He picks up his suitcase and goes out to wait on a cab. There's just one cab left right now and the young couple get in it. The woman sees Walter there, and she says he could join them. The man agrees. They introduce themselves as Alan and Jenny. Walter says hi and introduces himself. Jen asks where he's from. He says Boston. She says they're from New Orleans. They were going on a cruise. She asks where he was going, or if it was just business here in Miami. Walter says he's retired. He says he thought he'd take a vacation of his own. They find out they'll be on the same cruise, and Jen says that's so weird. Alan and Jen laugh about it. Walter asks how long they've been married, trying to be conversational, and they say they just got married last week and they're going on their honeymoon, a week long cruise. They seem excited and they do some “cutesie” “lovey-dovey” faces at each other and kiss. Walter looks out the window. Jen apologizes if they're making him feel uncomfortable, and Walter says it's fine. They say maybe they'll end up in close rooms on the ship. They get out of the cab, and Jen asks Walter where he's staying tonight, since the cruise doesn't take out till tomorrow. Walter says he'll get a motel. Jen says he's welcome to stay the night with them, but Walter says he'll be fine. He thanks them for sharing the cab, and they say it was no problem. They say they hope to see him on the cruise tomorrow.

In the morning, Walter heads out to the cruise ship. It's really nice, and Walter settles in to his quarters. It's not very spacious, but Walter doesn't seem to mind. He settles in and then goes for a walk on the deck as the ship takes off. Some time during the day, he's just lying on a chair by himself while everyone else is off talking with other people. “Hi Walter!” a familiar voice says, and he looks up to find Jen and Alan approaching. They ask how he slept, and he says it was fine. They say they got up at 4:30 to head out here. Alan almost made them miss the cruise even then, and they laugh about how they should've gotten up at 3:30 instead. Walter, being polite, asks that they sit down. “Oh we don't want to bother you,” Alan says, but Walter insists, and so they both sit down on the lounge chairs near him. Jen says it's a beautiful day, and she asks Walter what it was like in Boston. Then she asks what he does, and he says he's retired. But he used to sell stocks. She says that seems exciting, and Walter says it was, and she asks more about it. He gets into a detailed discussion about what his job had been like, and we can tell he must've been passionate about being a stock broker. Alan says that sounds really neat. Walter asks what they do. Jen says she's in college studying a fine arts major, and Alan is a free lance worker. Alan talks about some of the jobs he's had recently, and Walter acts interested, or perhaps he really is. By now the sun is setting, and Jen says she'd like to watch it set on the water. She and Alan go for a walk on the deck and they ask Walter to join them, but he says it's their honeymoon, and he wants them to go have fun. They say they'll see him around, and they go off down the deck to enjoy the sunset together.

At night Walter tries sleeping but he can't, so he gets up and walks the deck. He hears sounds of merriment coming from the party lounge, and inside there is dancing and music playing. Walter goes up to the bar and orders a drink. He's drinking alone when suddenly Alan plops down next to him. “Hi there Walter,” he says, and Walter says he didn't think he'd see him here. “Where's that young wife of yours?” “She's sleeping. She had a long day.” Alan said he couldn't sleep though, so he decided to come have some fun for a few hours. He says he didn't think Walter would be here in the bar of all places. He didn't know Walter drunk, but Walter says they're a lot he doesn't know about him. “Like what?” Alan asks, and Walter says, over some Scotch, that when he was a kid Alan's age he was a party animal, and he would let his hair down at the bars, get into a lot of trouble. He reminisces about a time when he pissed off the father of a young girl he started seeing after school. He talks about it like it was yesterday, and he seems very smitten with his past. Alan says it sounds like he was really cool when he was young. “When I was young? Are you saying I'm not cool now?” Walter asks, and Alan says that's not what he meant at all, but Walter says he's just messing with him. He offers to buy Alan another drink, but Alan says he really should be getting some sleep now. He thanks Walter for the conversation. Walter goes on drinking alone.

Walter spends much of the next day alone. He tries some swimming by himself. But the pool soon becomes occupied with young kids, and he goes for a walk on the deck, watching as young couples jog past him. He sips mohitos in the lounge, and he eats a nice brunch. Finally, at supper time, Jen and Alan find him. They ask him to join them for dinner. Walter says he'd be delighted. Over supper, they get to talking some more. They all seem very happy, they share some jokes, it's a nice conversation. Jen wants to know if Walter has a wife. Walter says he does, well did. And now the happy conversation becomes a bit somber as Jen apologizes for his loss and tries asking more about it, but Walter says he'd rather not talk about that. After that, the conversation seems strained for it's a bit awkward as no one really wants to change the subject.

That night, Alan and Jen are dancing while Walter watches from the sidelines. Jen comes over and asks Walter to join them. It takes a couple pleas, but finally they get Walter out on the dancefloor. He doesn't really dance at first, but Jen shows him how, and she dances with him even though he's rather awkward. They just laugh and Walter seems to be having a really good time. Jen slow dances with him, and afterwards tells him he's a remarkable dancer. Alan asks if he can join in, and Walter says she's all his and steps away. Jen laughs as Alan kisses her neck, and the two lovers leave to go have some time to themselves.

Walter wakes up at night to the sound of murmurs from beyond his door. He slowly opens it and peeks out. He sees Alan on the deck talking to a woman. But it's not Jen. Walter watches, putting on his glasses. Alan and the woman are in the middle of a seemingly touchy conversation. Then the woman places her hand on Alan's. Walter closes the door and goes back to his bed, trying to go back to sleep.

Jen is swimming as Walter comes to the pool to get in his usual 30 minute session before all the other people come. When he sees her in a very revealing bathing suit, he apologizes and says he'll come back later. Jen says “Nonsesne” and asks that he join her. She says it's lonely in here without any company. Walter reluctantly gets in, and Jen asks him if he can swim. They swim a bit and then Jen challenges him to a race, which she lets him win. By the end of it, he's breathing heavily. Jen says he's a lot of fun to be around, and Walter says she doesn't know the half of it, and she laughs. Alan arrives, and he says it's time for brunch. They invite Walter along, and the trio enjoy a nice brunch together. Throughout, Walter keep staring at Alan, who notices and seems a bit put off by it, but he goes right on with a conversation with his wife, trying to ignore it.

The trio spend the day together. Walter tries opting out of some things, wanting the newlyweds to have some time to themselves. He tells them that he doesn't want to be in their way, and he'd feel bad if they didn't have a honeymoon like they ought to have. But they say that they enjoyed having him for company, and they want thim to participate in everything they do. So Walter gets roped in to doing some exercise classes, some swimming classes, some karaoke at night. Jen is really good, and Alan makes a fool of himself. They try getting Walter to karaoke, but he doesn't want to. However, Jen convinces him that she'll do it with him, and she does most of the karaoking while Walter participates a little bit and the cloud claps them on. Alan laughs and smiles, and afterwards Jen tells Walter he was really good. He says he was a professional singer in the 60's afterall. He used to open for Elvis. They laugh, and he says, “You act like I'm joking.” They laugh some more.

Some night on the cruise, as Walter is walking the deck alone, unable to sleep, and the breeze washes over him, he again finds Alan and that mystery woman walking. They're holding hands and they go to the deck and stare out at the sea, and then she kisses him. Walter can't help but feel like he's eavesdropping, but he watches as she kisses his cheek and lures him away from the deck. Walter watches them go, and he feels bad.

The next day, Walter finds himself alone with Alan, playing darts. Alan ropes him into playing. He says Jen wanted to sleep in late. Walter asks Alan how things were going with Jen. Alan says they were great. He never loved anyone so much as Jen. She was really sweet and always comforting, and not to mention she was great in bed. He says he's really glad he found her. “You must've felt that way when you first got married, and I bet you would tell me it changes over time, right? That that's just the newlywed feeling. Well, I tell you Walter, I really love her,” he finishes. Walter says he just wants to make sure they're both alright. He sees them, and he knows they love each other. He wants them to always be happy. He really appreciates them. He reminds Alan that he's married now; he has a reponsibility for looking out for that girl, for loving and helping her. Alan says he always will; he couldn't imagine hurting her. He lands a bullseye and cheers, high-fiving Walter. Walter says he's glad Alan feels that way. Alan asks to buy him a drink.

The next few days go by. We see several scenes of Alan and Jen spending time together, roping Walter in. They have a lot of good times together on the cruise. Walter stays up most nights unable to sleep, and he has a guilty conscious about what he saw a few nights ago. Meanwhile, he's getting better at swimming, and he swims every morning with Jen. They laugh a lot and have a lot of really fun times.

It is the last night on the cruise, and they're heading back toward the mainland. Walter is trying to sleep, but he feels unable to once again, so he gets out of bed and takes a stroll on deck as the wind whips by. He hears sniffling, and he finds Jen looking out over the water. Walter approaches her and he asks what's wrong. Jen tries hiding her tears, but it's no good. Walter tells her she can tell him anything. Jen says it's Alan. He's a cheating liar. Walter asks her what happened, and Jen says she saw him, flirting with one of the cocktail waitresses. Walter lets her talk while he listens. She explains how she came upon Alan in the bar earlier tonight. He might have been drunk, but he was being really flirsty with him. And on their honeymoon. How could he do that? Jen starts breaking down, worrying that her marriage was doomed if she couldn't even keep her man on her honeymoon. She says she thinks it's her fault somehow, that maybe she just wasn't giving Alan enough. She says she tries so hard, and she loves him so much, but she doesn't know how she can ever trust him again. Walter tells her that it's going to be alright. He says he's sure Alan didn't mean to, that he must've been drunk. He believes Alan is a good man, but a man nonetheless, and so he must've made a stupid mistake and not realized how much it could harm other people, especailly those closest to him. Jen interjects that she hates him for this, but she feels so torn because she knows she still loves him, but she wants to hit him, she wants to make him hurt. She starts calling him some names then breaks down some more, but Walter tries calming her down.

Walter tells her that he knows what she's dealing with. Those feelings of mistrust are common. But it takes time to know if you can really trust someone, and he believes that Alan and Jen can trust each other. They can grow to trust one another. Walter says that he was married for 40-somewhat years to the same woman. They had their differences. They didn't always see eye-to-eye. They had arguments, fights, physical and verbal. They had a separation that lasted over a year, and in that time they saw different people, but in the end, they came back to each other and they realized that they were made for each other, despite their different viewpoints on issues and their many quarrels. They truly loved each other, and that's all that counted. Walter reveals that he and Suzanne met right after college. They were madly in love just like Alan and Jen. He says he sees the same thing in them that he once felt with Suzanne. He reminisces about how great those days were, and many times throughout his marriage he wished he could go back to those glory days. This cruise was like reliving it all again, especailly because Alan and Jen were just like him and Suzanne. Walter cheated on his wife a few months after they married with an old flame. He didn't mean to, but it got out of hand. Yet his wife was able to forgive him. It took time, but she realized she truly did love him. And he loved her all the more because she could forgive him. And that forgiveness made their trust for each other so much stronger and truer. Through forgiveness, a spouse could really appreciate his or her significant other more strongly.

Walter goes on to say that it will not always be easy in a marriage. It has its up and downs. With Suzanne, they rarely saw eye-to-eye. The passion died out many years ago, but the trust never died. He may have forgotten somewhere along the road just how significant that trust was, but Alan and Jen reminded him of it. Suzanne was truly someone special, and had been all his life, and Walter says that he wouldn't change what he had. He thinks Alan and Jen should give each other time to come around. It's what Suzanne and he did, and because of it, they got to live and cherish each other for a long time, 4 decades, and they were better because of it.

Jen sniffles a bit, and she wipes away some more tears. She tells Walter that she thinks he's a wonderful man. He's very passionate, and this Suzanne must've been a very lucky woman. “I was the lucky one,” Walter says. Jen smiles and she says that he may be right. She may be hurting now, but she needs to be able to trust Alan, and maybe she could find a way to. Maybe they weren't close enough now, like Walter and Suzanne were, because they just didn't know each other enough yet. But with time they could. Walter was right. They should give each other time to come around. Jen wipes away the last of her tears and she hugs Walter. She says she's really going to miss him. Walter tells her he will have a talk with Alan for her, let him know how important she is to him. Jen thanks him.

Early morning. Walter comes on deck to find Alan sitting in a lounge chair. Walter sits beside him. He says he heard there was some trouble in paradise. Alan says he made a stupid mistake. He didn't mean to do it, but it happened. And now Jen might leave him. He was dumb, and he felt bad about it. Walter calms Alan down as Alan is going on about how much he regrets it. Walter says he's already talked it over with Jen, and she knows that Alan will make mistakes. It's a part of marriage as much as it is of life. Jen understands. Walter tells Alan that he was very much like him when he was young. He shares a story of a time when he was flirting with all the ladies, and he says he never realized how much it hurt the one woman who was most significant to him until it was too late, but he goes on to tell how they were able to set that aside, because in the end they really did love each other. Walter was wool-headed, and Alan is, but that's cause young men sometimes need to be put in their place and shown what's valuable to them. They're so stubborn and don't want to change. That can last all life, but they must make some changes. They must learn to love those they spend their time with. Alan says he understands. He says he doesn't want to hurt Jen. He really does love her, and he regrets his stupid choices. Walter tells him that he reminds him of the son he never had. He says that if he had a son, he thinks he would have been just like Alan. Alan thanks him. He asks why Walter never had a son, and Walter says he tried many times, but Suzanne was infertile. It never worked out unfortunately. Alan apologizes, but Walter says that was many years ago, and he knows that it doesn't matter anymore. Alan says he reminds him of a father, he wishes he was his father even. Walter looks teary eyed but doesn't actually cry. Alan does shake his hand. He says it was a pleasure spending time with him.

At the dock, Alan and Jen bid farewell to Walter. They hug. Jen says she wishes she could spend more time with him. He's a wonderful man. She thanks him for everything he did, everything he said. Alan reminds Walter that he's a truly great man with a lot of wisdom to share. Walter says they make a great couple, and he thinks they'll find they're truly made for each other. Time will tell. “See, you're so wise,” Alan says, and they laugh, but the laughs sound rather hollow, as of a sadness at farewell. “Will we ever see you again Walter?” Jen asks. “I do not know,” Walter replies. “I would like it very much if we could.” Jen says they will have to come to Boston some time. “Or I can come to New Orleans,” Walter says. Jen says she'd like that very much, and she hugs him. She's sniffling, and Walter tells her not to cry. She says she can't help it. She hates goodbyes. Walter and Alan shake hands, and Jen tells Walter to go now. She hates goodbyes even more when they're long. Walter says farewell, and he gets in a taxi and watches as Alan and Jen wave goodbye, tearfully laughing as he rides off. Alan holds Jen close by his side.

A taxi cab pulls up outside Walter's familiar home. He gets out and looks at the house, unchanged since he left. He goes inside and looks around at the den. He studies the chair where Suzanne always sat. Her book still lies there. Walter goes to it and opens it to the page she left it on. He studies the page for a moment, then sets it down in his chair instead of hers, so he can read it later. He looks at a picture of Suzanne and him from when they first got married. They look happy. Walter then walks out of the den, grabs his suitcase, and heads up the stairs. The camera stays on the staircase, looking into the den, the picture of the young Walter and Suzanne faintly present in the background, until Walter completely vanishes from sight up the stairs. And the credits roll.
