druv10
Holy hell, that's a great OD for Ant-man. 100M+ total looks very likely now.
jiangsen
Marvel is a well known brand all over China...$100M for Ant-Man shouldn't really come as a surprise when GOTG made about the same last year. I understand why expectations have been tempered, but Marvel isn't going to suddenly crash in China. So we can already forget that panic moment that people had here when both Minions and MI5 did not reach the amounts we had predicted and everybody had asumed as normal given the growth of the market... IMO, Ant-Man making something close to $100m in China is a huge surprise. No matters what we compare to.

Olive
$100m is locked, could beat IM3(750m yuan). Edited October 16, 2015 by The GOOD Olive

I only know as a fast check tings like this but have not the time to check for more for now As of today 6.35y to $1. http://www.x-rates.com/average/?from=USD&to=CNY&amount=1&year=2014 GOTG: Oct 2014: 6.126y to $1 TWS: April 2014 6.226 to $1 IM3: May 2013: 6.142 to $1
TalismanRing
I believe it was around 6.2. Olive you really think 750M yuan is possible? That would make it 2nd biggest Marvel movie after AoU. Why not? GOTG almost did $100m and this opened bigger. IM3 came out 2 1/2 years ago, TWS a 1 1/2 years . The China box office has exploded since then. I only know as a fast check tings like this but have not the time to check for more for now I prefer to compare Yuan amounts. GotG did around 595 million Yuan, if I am not wrong. That is the amount to beat. Edited October 16, 2015 by peludo
