I don't mean it did bad at all. It's a surprise for sure. Folks were expecting 300m, 400m+ USD.

Yeah aren't folks overreacting here? It's going to be frontloaded for obvious reasons, but to the point where it only does like 60 million more after the 150 or so it should do on the 5 day OW?!!!

At beginning of year, for hollywood productions I pretty much thought

1.KFP3

2.Warcraft

3.IDR

KFP3 unimpressive gross was shocking to me, while warcraft being frontloaded, perhaps more expected.

We'll see, I'm just not surprised to see how quickly some turn. Its 3 day total is going to be better than Furious 7? How is the WOM so far? 

 

Furious 7 kinda had a great multiplier considering it did 182 million OW and ended up with 390 +.

I agree with you if we look at begning of the year. But looking at 10-days before release, WC predictions from good members here were very high. Still doing great though.

If WC in the US has $30M OW and 2.0 multiplier, that's $60M total.

If the club says 4x DOM, China needs to deliver $240M. Still possible.

Some writers thought it would catch on with the GA. The 20% bump on Thursday lent hope that it was happening.

It has good wom but it's not reaching the broader audience like FF7.

FF7 had pretty good daily holds after its massive 390 OD inc MN

 

XMA on pace to be down 30-35%, 30m~

WC 35-40%,  130-135m

 

FD PS lower than A2, TJB and ZOO at 6 days out. It will need immediate great WOM to make any kind of BO with competition ahead.

Thursday and Friday are holidays. Wednesday and sunday are normal working days (but from what I can tell, kids have no school on Sunday). Saturday is a like any other Sat.
