Ah I see. Surprisingly lost steam compared to 1st 7 days. Amazing total nevertheless. Sub-210 usd in China puts $600 ww at risk. Needs an over-performance in Japan (at least $30) to counter that and leggier dom than expected.

Take China out and OS is at 140M against US 100M. If US manages 60M more then OS would make 85. 85+60+ 25 more in China as you say? = 170. 30 in Japan is unlikely. I think it stops short of 600M.

Presales for Rampage is virtually the same as Tomb Raider as well.

In under an hour we should start getting reviews in from Midnight showings, so hopefully that'll give us an indication of WOM.

No clue yet about WOM as ratings have not come out on Maoyan or Douban but someone said a few days ago that the response from the previews was positive and someone posted a rating from another website today where the rating was about average. 

 

It can hit 40 if reviews are decent

Thanks for the info. I heard it's a very friendly genre for Chinese audience and also there were few early screenings which were positive. Isn't it true?

That true yes. So the signs are there for a breakout, but they were only limited screenings. More important is what general audience thinks
