Before dangal there was zootopia. So chinese by time to time do love quality films which are easier to access through cultures. Like usa china will get little bired of only cgi bombastics but just like usa it will be changed by another cgi bombastics.

Yep, interest was definitely there. It would have made $120-$130m if it was any good. Story of most of the countries. WW total would have been $500-600m. 

Mummy is a strong IP.

In my mind, only 3-4 import films did 2.5× OW in 2016, and none of them opened on summer. They did so better because of their great WOM(like Zootopia and Doctor Strange). So I don't believe TF5 can make ¥2,500+ million if it open under ¥1,000m.

Even Mummy had a -78% second weekend drop against Alien,TF5 will surely drop less than 70%.It will have 2.2x leg with -65% drop every weekend.

What do you think the OD and OW for TF5 is looking at?

Very hard to predict But if you put a gun on my head My OW prediction would be

 

Previews: 40m (from numbers above)

OD : 275m (from around 95m PS )

Sat : 330m

Sun: 260m

 

OW: 905m

Total: 1800m

 

Looking at early reviews at douban its brutal though the number of reviews are only 100's. I dont see it having great legs based on the sample. 

 

But this is a movie where we could be way off.

OD presale increased as what I expected yesterday,and midnight has 3x multiplier today,which indicates more than 3x multiplier tomorrow.No change about my 290/350/290 prediction.

SUN can be higher. I think ￥920m*2.2
