2️⃣ The Battle At Lake Changjin : ¥55.89M (~$8.74M) / ¥5594.39M (~$874.4M)

3️⃣ The Curious Tale of Mr.Guo : ¥23.33M (~$3.65M) (incl. ¥5.3K /$0.83K previews) 🆕

4️⃣ The Legend of Sealed Book : ¥14.91M (~$2.33M) (incl. ¥103.9K /$16.24K previews) 🆕

5️⃣ Dune : ¥13.60M (~$2.91M) / ¥235.65M (~$36.83M) ↘️

Unplaced Numbers (Total):

G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes : ¥9.53M (~$1.49M) 🆕

My Parents, My Homeland : ¥1466.04M (~$229.14M)

007 NTTD passed ¥300M this weekend &reaching a total of ¥315.04M, currently forecasting a finishing line of $65M. Resurgence of CoVid-19 case has reduced Potential Finals by 19%. Yet, a big success for Daniel Craig, despite of poor pre-sales than Dune.

TBALC still holding it's second position through out Weekdays/Weekends. But lost ¥5600M by ~¥5.6M. Now, Marching ahead of ¥5600M on Monday. By the end of Sunday (11/14), it should be over ¥5650M - ¥5670M, possible passing Wolf Warrior 2 (¥5689M) before 11/21 (Next Sunday).

Dune dropped from third to fifth Yet, forecasting to finish at $39M while might (may) passed $40M per Maoyan if there are some miracles.

That's why Fast &Furious 9 was released 5 weeks earlier than American release. Now, numbers will be affected 😟

How did this leak even happen? Unlike NTTD, Venom 2 is not going to PVOD/streaming any time soon.

No idea. Its on every Chinese piracy site.. and China's version of Google drive..

It is on torrent as well, not sure how it was leaked. Was it even released on streaming early in any countries? There is no hardcoded Korean subs..

I don't think it should be streaming in any country yet. Deadline mentioned that Sony wanted theatrical exclusivity for longer than the 45-day norm most movies have now.

Quote

Sony is really respecting the theatrical window here with Venom 2: I hear the movie is on a window that far exceeds 45 days.

What ? Marvel banned from China ? Can you explain to me why ? This is worrying because for I was expecting big numbers over there for NWH.

No worries for Spiderman &it's spin-off Venom as they are distributed by Sony. Sony just need to stay away from Disney Marvel, so that they are not considered as one company. I just already mentioned the reasons for it's blacklist

(EDITED: I don’t know if you’re joking or not, but we’re not going to spread crazy conspiracy theories here.)

@Issac Newton Do you expect a good drop for TBALC this week ? Because ¥5650M-5670M seems a little complicated to me by next Sunday I personally expected something just under ¥5650M but in the end it is not very serious it should manage to exceed WW2 and the ¥5700M (Too bad for the ¥5600M this Sunday).

Obviously, Russo brothers' five years time jump will rise question. Especially, 50% of population got killed. World at disaster, left authorities at doubt, if they know CoVid-19 hitting the country in near future. Further, it's Disney responsibility, &we can only just discussed about it.

Some independent reason where film release was blocked in Mainland China

Black Widow : July Hollywood lockout period.

Shang Chi : Simu Liu's comments against China

Eternals : Zhao is a persona non grata

Ok thank you, I hope that the next Marvel releases will not be blocked in China because it is a huge, very important market.

Ok but why there was no release in China for Eternals, SC, BW and Venom 2 ?

1) bw got approval but the last minute disney decided to delay the movie to july and lost their chance,2)shang chi was always a movie with a lot of controversary in china from the moment that the cast was announced to the moment that the first trailer came,so there you go,3)eternals bc of zhaos past comments. As for venom i am sure that if it was banned that @Gavin Feng or @Olive would have told us.

Like last time, when I was tensed with No Time To Die releasing in 10/28. If Jungle Cruise debut follows Snake Eyes or Dune, then TBALC will easily be above ¥5650M or else it we be at ¥5630M-¥5635M. This weekend will give us the final finishing line for TBALC. After today's cumulative, I will revise my dailies projection again. Also, it didn't hit ¥5600M on Sunday (one demerit point)

Monday Estimates:

007 No Time To Die : ¥8M (~$1.2M) / ¥323M (~$50.5M) 11D

The Battle At Lake Changjin : ¥5.8M (~$910K) / ¥5600M (~$875.9M) 40D

The Curious Tale of Mr.Guo : ¥2.7M (~$420K) / ¥26M (~$4.1M) 4D

Departures : ¥2.1M (~$330K) / ¥51M (~$8M) 11D ↗️

Dune : ¥1.3M (~$200K) / ¥237M (~$37.1M) 18D

NTTD passed $50M today. Daniel Craig last Bond Film planned to pass $60M before 11/14. While Maoyan Forecast around $65.7M as finals below Spectre ($84M+)

TBALC passed ¥5600M, barely staying ¥89M away from Wolf Warrior 2 (¥5689M). Weekend hold will be interesting &is likely to drop to third depending on The Rock's Jungle Cruise.
