Accursed Arachnid!™
While I hope it does, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Argo isn't having a 60+% increase today.
PatrickvD
I was expecting less for Ralph. That is a strong hold. And Flight is doing phenomenally well. Great to see two good movies doing well at the Box Office.

kitik
While I hope it does, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Argo isn't having a 60+% increase today. The Argo crowd is definitely the type of crowd that will sit at home to watch election results.

Fullbuster
Do you think the US election could hurt Tuesday numbers?
Mango
Do you think the US election could hurt Tuesday numbers? I dunno. Looking at 2008 numbers I would not think so. A lot of things increased that day- HSM3 went up 66%! Here are the numbers for the past couple elections for anyone who cares: 2004- http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2004-11-02&p=.htm 2008- http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2008-11-04&p=.htm
Accursed Arachnid!™
Do you think the US election could hurt Tuesday numbers?Only for certain films. It may mute increases for others, but kids films and films aimed at young people should be pretty unaffected. Adult films like Argo are the type that will definitely be affected and depending on if the election is decided Tuesday night or if we get into another protracted dispute like 2000, it could continue to affect adult driven films for a few days.

Taylor
Again, Tuesday bumps come mostly from Canada.Yeah but a large number of Canadians are just as interested in the election as Americans. I know my family will be in front of the TV tonight. Edited November 6, 2012 by Taylor

I know my family will be in front of the TV tonight. In France this election is very followed, you can see this on lefigaro.fr for example, but we'll know the winner tomorrow there (around 05:00am so most of people will sleep, like me )
