I love DH2 for what it is, but it wasn't as satisfying in terms of being a culmination of a series. Chalk it up to the partial lack of consistent creative vision behind the camera. That said, to do what they did over 8 movies is remarkable and unprecedented.

Dh2 easily. Rotk was great but it wasn't as great as two towers where as dh2 was the best in the franchise.
