75Live
A little old school here but 1982 was pretty damn good for me. ET First Blood (both in my top 20 films of all time) Porky's Fast Times at Ridgemont High (two of the funniest films of my youth) Rocky III Poltergeist Friday the 13th III Just a fantastic year. Definitely one of the best years I can remember.
mattmav45
I have yet to see Holy Motors and some select others, but Spring Breakers is superior to any 2012 film I've seen.
PK Tech Girl
There was more movie magic in 1982 than entire decades to come.
baumer
1985 was pretty awesome too. Just take Rambo, Rocky IV and Back to the Future and you have one hell of a year.
luna
just seen there will be blood... so do i take no country, there will be blood and hot fuzz, or eyes wide shut, south park and american beauty? 1999 is still a bit more eclectic i think
Darth Homer
Best Years for me: 1977 1982 1984 1989 1994 1999 2012 2013 will go down as one of the most boring, unless Oscar season really impresses.

I love your list although I wasn't old enough for 1977 and too young to appreciate 1982 and 1984 (I'm a Jimmy Carter baby ) Edited July 5, 2013 by lilmac

I watched it 7 times in one weekend.Slasher quickly became my favourite genre and in the following two years I had I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Halloween H20, Urban Legend, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and The Faculty. Also Titanic was the first film I went to see 3 times and I was obsessed with it. lilmac
2013 seems like one of the most crowded years although quality wise, not even close to being a top movie year. Edited July 16, 2013 by lilmac
