AMAZING MOVIE, the ending (how the aliens were defeated) stinks though.

I loved Dakota when she was a child actress but now idk what she's doing with her career. And I liked this movie. 4.5/5

I always watch this when it's on. Only thing that bothers me is when Dakota is in the car screaming "I WANT MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" I want to smack her then.The ending doesn't bother me, because that's how War of the Worlds ends.

That little prick seeped all the enjoyment out of this movie out of it. Not to mention, it had circus freak Shitto in it. For the clincher, we had Tim Robbins, normally a good actor, give a razzie-worthy performance as a douchebag farmer. I should have worn earplugs too for all the screaming Dakota Fanning did. The only thing I enjoyed about this movie was the Special Effects. Everything else was a big fat failure.

I remember watching this on TV and I gotta say that I only made it to the scene where the Aliens find them getting to the boats, I don't know why but I found that scene to be very terrifying and turned the movie off

Somehow this felt lifeless ... no soul. And while that's ok with some actioners, it's not okay when your story is centered on a family. Definitely a miss for Spielberg.
