Yes

 

Fact is that the major branches are voting for Riva much more so than they are voting for Lawrence. My theory behind it is that the main branches generally skew older, and they are supposedly more knowledgeable in acting. They're going with Riva. It really comes down to how heavily in favour of Lawrence the tech branches go.

The only people I could imagine complaining about Emmanuelle Riva winning are people who haven't seen her performance.

Liked even though I haven't seen her performance.

 

Lawrence was very good, sure. But there is no messianic necessity that requires her to win now over better (and arguably better) candidates. The Lawsbians here need to chill the frak out.
