Ezen Baklattan
To The Moon could have an Argo like multiplier and finish close to $200m. The fact that it only dropped 34% against a decent sized animated film is very promising. Edited February 27, 2013 by Spaghetti
Alpha
If To The Moon will end up with over 100M, I will be pleased. To The Moon will get a 3.5x multiplier over the fall season and wind up with $150 million plus.

The Creator
October 7-9: "Society Sings, Hoax Screams" It was a solid start for the musical "Society". The critically acclaimed high school drama opened in first with a higher-than-most-expectations 26.2 million debut. The film garnered mostly positive reception among audiences. People aged 16-24 accounted for roughly 76% of all viewers, while females made up approximately 68%. Horror comedy spoof film "Haunted Hoax" didn't do so bad itself. The little flick churned up 12.2 million, enough to land in the top five this week. Meanwhile, "To the Moon" posted its best hold yet, down 17.75% to 17.2 million, finishing second. The film is well on its way to blockbuster numbers. "Halloweentown III" had a modest and typical hold, down just under 50% in its second frame. As for "The Fall 2", well, it really fell, down over 60% in its second week of release for 4.2 million and a rank outside the top five of the week. [*]Society: 26,182,039 (NEW) [*]To the Moon: 17,216,556 (3rd week) -17.75% [*]Halloweentown III: 13,079,903 (2nd week) -48.82% [*]Haunted Hoax: 12,181,093 (NEW) [*]High Life: 6,978,190 (4th week) -34.42% [*]The Fall 2: Back From The Past: 4,205,389 (2nd week) -61.18% [*]The Shperherd and the Daughter of the Sun: 1,786,656 (4th week) -37.76% [*]Mumford and Sons: Babel: 1,438,695 (3rd week) -43.08% [*]Texans Hate Zombies: 1,196,673 (5th week) -48.81% [*]Cyber: 983,873 (8th week) -37.96% Top Ten Gross: 85,249,067 (+4.58%) October 14-16: "24 Hours Trumps Paranormal 2" The Oscar darling "24 Hours" hit it off with audienes like it did with critics. Averaging an A rating on Cinemascore, the critically acclaimed crime drama debuted hot in first with over 19 million. It placed second on Friday to horror outing "Paranormal lamronaraP 2", which fizzled over the next two datys. The horror sequel debuted higher than its first, but with a wider release on over 4,000 screens at nearly 3,000 venues, its 17.7 million launch is a bit sour by expectations. And word-of-mouth is almost toxic on this one, but that was to be expected. Musical "Society" had a great hold, easing under 40% to 16 million and a third place finish. And "To the Moon" once again had the best hold of the week, down under 15% this time, its best hold yet. The little-animated-film-that-could may stand to be one of the year's biggest money-makers if it keeps along this path. And in limited release, "Mr. Rogers Goes to Washington" averaged about $90,000 per location, making 360,000 in its first week.
