"Hunger Games SPECIAL" - Game 9

This week featured a break from the norm in the season's Special Edition, in honor of The Hunger Games. The "pilot season" over at BOM had featured a similar Special in honor of Deathly Hallows Part 2 back in the summer. Now the official season has had its first Special Edition, and the results were all over the place.

No one could have seen The Hunger Games exploding as it did on the market, and so many were startled by their scores this week. But not "The Shadowlords." The team became the first of the season to score two consecutive first place wins. Their scores were somewhat inflated by their purchases last week (of 5% and 10% bonuses for acsc1312 and XenoZodiac, respectively) yet even without their bonuses they placed first for the week. "The Firerisers" continue to heat things up and have carried themselves five weeks in the Top 3. The season can go anyway, but with the Final Ten approaching, it's more clearly focused between these two teams at the moment. But anyone can steal the thunder, as has happened in alarming episodes in the past.

This week, Xeno received 5 Bank Account points for having the highest individual average of the season, topping CEDAR's score from 3 weeks ago. Also, Townzy received 3 Bank Account points for scoring first place on 4 of the 8 scored questions (and he also got highest on the 9th bonus point question for having the closest rank, predicting a 4th place finish for The Hunger Games). Meanwhile, Mattrek of "The Beasts in the Bushes" has been eliminated for his third strike.

AVERAGE: 87.86% +18

THE SHADOWLORDS

acsc1312: 91.09% +8 (+1 3rd individual, +3 1st team, +3 2 weeks in a row #1 team, +1 90%+)

XenoZodiac: 98.85% +16 (+5 BANK ACCOUNT, +3 1st individual, +3 1st team, +3 2 weeks in a row #1 team, +1 90%+, +1 highest Sat PTA)

THE WILD CARDS

Cjohn: 74.12%

Kalo21: 0% -1 (-1 1st strike)

***Point totals will be updated this week to include both Games 8 and 9.

Which three players above will NOT make it to the Final Ten? Coming soon!

It got you highest score over me. And would they have beaten Us really? How does the +10% is it just a flat increase of weighted to your score?

Sorry, didn't understand that question. The bonus was supposed to be added to our overall score.

And we actually would have lost to you guys if it weren't for the bonuses. (Creator mistook here). Without bonuses, our average is 87.47% and yours are 87.86%. Very close. Congrats. :)

Excluding all bonuses, it was much closer (Shadowlords got 86.47% without question 9 and last week's bonus purchases; Firerisers got 86.53% without question 9 bonuses).

Meanwhile, Firerisers do retain an automatic immunity this week from last week. It expires this weekend, but while it is in effect, they are immune from any option the Shadowlords choose. HOWEVER, if the Shadowlords choose Option 4, in which a member from another team can be placed on the Shadowlords' team, then it is up to the individual chosen whether he wishes to remain (in the case of the Firerisers) or join The Shadowlords.

For all other members, immunities are the regular 10 point purchases, but these are reserved for The Challenge to avoid elimination. So if you are moved to a new team, you cannot buy an immunity from it because you have no impending risk of elimination.

ALSO: Shadowlords, I need you to reassign Dom Cobb to a team of your choice. The Firerisers can reject him if they so wish because of their immunity.

This week's game will determine the Top Ten Candidates. This means it is crucial that you participate so we can determine which ten members will survive to the last few games of the season.

Game 10 - Due Friday, March 30 at 11:00 P.M. Eastern

1. Predict the difference between Wrath of the Titans and Mirror Mirror. Which one will gross more?

2. Hunger Games' midnight is 19.74 million. Predict the difference between its Friday gross this week and its midnight gross last week.

3. Predict Hunger Games' difference by percent drop this Saturday from last Saturday (not how much less it will gross, but by what percent will it be below last Saturday)

4. Predict Wrath of the Titans' Friday share of its weekend total (e.g. if you predict 50m Friday and 100m total, it's 50%).

5. Predict Mirror Mirror's Sunday gross.

REMEMBER, IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU ANSWER TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITIES THIS WEEK!
