In order, these are the first 5 people chosen for this week's Challenge.

  • Andrew the Alien

Now each of these members has over 10 points. You do not have to buy an immunity. Only two will go into The Challenge. Now if Andrew and Fake both buy an immunity, Dom and Totem are up and can buy immunities, and if Dom does then CJohn's up, and so on. If Andrew and Fake don't buy immunities by tomorrow at 11:00 P.M. Eastern, then they will be thrown into the Challenge automatically. Dom, Totem, and CJohn, go ahead and decide if you will or will not buy immunity, and if those two do then your purchases will be up if you make them.

BIG ERROR on the point totals. I'm about to fix it, but I forgot to deduct 8 points from everyone who purchased immunities last week.

EDIT: Ok, the error has been corrected.

Also, I've come up with a new system for the Challenge. In this way, there is a deadline for getting your immunity purchases in, and there is a ranking of members as chosen by the winning team. The higher you are on the list the higher your priority for being chosen, but all runner-ups will still receive PMs. Don't freak out, because everyone will probably be receiving one but all but Andrew and Fake are runner-ups.

Game 8 - Deadline Friday, 3/16/12, at 11:00 P.M. Eastern

READ CLOSELY

1. 21 Jump Street opening weekend

2. Difference between John Carter's budget (250 million) and its final gross through Sunday (so take what you predict it will make through the end of the weekend and subtract from its 250 million budget)

3. The Lorax's Saturday percent drop from last Saturday

4. Lorax grossed 3.43 million on Monday. Predict the difference between its Friday gross and that Monday gross. (subtract the 3.43 from your Friday prediction)

5. Difference in percent drops for Silent House and A Thousand Words. (Subtract your predicted percent drops for each film from each other to get the difference).

Anyone else who was a runner-up and purchased an immunity, you do not lose any points because you weren't chosen for the Challenge as these were the original two candidates.

"The Overlords" - Game 8

In the rather uneventful eighth week of the game, "The Shadowlords" finally climbed to the top spot. After spending seven weeks doing exceptionally well (four of those seven weeks, the team earned Top 3 mentions), the duo finally aced their way to first place, and it wasn't really close. So kudos to "The Shadowlords", who finally achieved their goal for the season (well I'm sure it's not their only goal). Xeno got highest individual average and also received +3 from Bank Account points for scoring highest on 2 of the 5 individual questions.

Meanwhile, we have had a member leave us this week. EmpireStrikesBack of "Amazingly Adequate" announced before results that he would be leaving the rest of the season. He put up a great game all season and he will be missed, most definitely by his partners Electric and RichWS (Electric and Empire have been partners since the very beginning). We look forward to seeing you back, if you so wish to return, in future seasons as you were certainly a valuable player this season.
