Going all in on Batman is probably the most sensible thing to do. It does sound easier than trying to create a working DC Cinematic Universe. The MCU started from Iron Man. Building off Batman could be a good idea.

Because the movie and Ezra are intertwined and we don't really need an Ezra thread unless, I don't know, actually movie news comes out worth talking, but even then, people will only talk about Ezra.

Same thing happened with Superman Returns. The budget was so insanely high because of all the years it took to get off the ground.

How the hell is 70% a good score? These are literally people who get to see a Superhero movie early. That almost seems like a 70% RT. Although, I guess Good isn't counted in the scoring which would for RT, but still. I would think 80 or 90% would be a good score. Having been to test screenings for bad movies, I've seen people react well to trash films that ended up getting bad RT scores. Then again, I went to a test screening for Cloverfield 3 and thought the audience ate it up, and then we saw it go straight to Netflix, so perhaps there was a silent majority at that screening that also thought it was complete shit.

After the Twitter debacle, I don't see Disney wanting to remotely talk to Elon over such matters.

This movie did okay. It had better legs than the previous one. I think one movie every 3-5 years is fine. Maybe not reboot but soft reboot with new leads.

What is TG:M's final gross likely to be?

I think at a minimum it outdoes Catching Fire adjusted of $213M. We shall see about an IW opening though, and no way they fudge it if it gets that close.

Maybe. Marvel Zombies will be TV-MA and Deadpool 3 is R, so we will see. But, I am guessing PG-13

I think we are still getting phases because people expect them, but now it's about the saga's really. So, we are really at Saga 2, The Multiverse saga, and I think each saga lasting 5-6 years sounds about right, especially now with the higher output.

DC is such a mess. Honestly, Nolan was the best and worst thing to happen to DC. Best for giving us TDK, and worst because TDK probably led to the mess we have today and the lack of direction and overall messiness of DCEU

I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes the second MCU film to get a BP nom.

This trailer looks way, way, way better than I expected. Like this looks fucking good.

This year is turning everything I know about BO on its head. It feels like after the pandemic moviegoing habits have changed, but not in the ways we could have predicted. It's like audience tastes are shifting, probably due to the world changing overall. Interesting times we live in.

Regardless of quality, I do think an endpoint is crucial. It gives people a sense of where things are going and gives them a reason to keep watching.

I don't even recall the kissing scene. It must have been a blink and you miss it.

I don't buy the studio label thing. I know someone that worked for Fox when Disney bought it out and based off what I have heard that doesn't sound like a thing at all. I think they are using the label as an excuse to keep Deadpool R-rated. They want to see how it goes, and probably if it works out we may see other R-rated MCU movies released as 20th Century Studios films. Anyway, Deadpool 3 is the test run for that.

Yup. This was headed for a Captain Marvel like gross, but going to happen now. Oh well. Disney cares more about Disney+ than BO dollars these days.

TGMs weekend is insane. Looking at BOMs chart of fifth weekends, this is actually the second best fifth weekend of all-time. I don't count American Sniper because it was in it's second full weekend at that time. Anyway, this is a crazy, crazy run. And, damn, Lightyear, what a drop. Fuck. $17M 2nd weekend for a Pixar Toy Story spin-off. Ouch.

Euphoria seems like good grounds to cast from. First, a lot of the target audience they are going for watches Euphoria. Second, The Hunger Games is about kids killing kids. There aren't that many high profile young actors out there, so you cast from high profile shows that have young actors.

I am sure at this point some Ezra allegations are false. At the same time, I feel confident some of them are very much true. For instance, as much as it saddens me, I believe the child grooming allegations to be true and obviously his assault stuff that he is wanted for. Regardless, even if some of the shit against him is fake doesn't take away the bad shit he has already done.

Holy hell! So, there are guns laying around next to stuffed animals. The weed doesn't bother me that much unless they are using hard drugs in front of kids. Still though, really shouldn't be smoking weed in front of minors. What the hell will we find out next week?
