  1. Big Regal in Bay are. I remember seeing Dark Knight Imax midnight. All 21 screens sold out and people were in the line since previous noon. So festive the midnights where. Now Frozen Previews Regal Hacienda Imax/Screenx 3D - 10/139 (1020PM) 2D - 48/427(6PM A10), 7/250(7PM A5), 2/427(850PM A10), 4/250(950PM A5) Overall - 71/1493 Not great all. Surprising it got no Imax or ScreenX as well. Bay area also seem to be underperforming quickly glancing around.
  2. Frozen PS has not started. http://piaofang.maoyan.com/dashboard?date=2019-11-22
  3. Frozen (T-13) Cin Prev - 29891/381136 (2376 shows) +2593 Cin OD - overall 4330 shows 47136/733937 post 6PM 1607 shows 24506/275648 +5160 Cin D2 - overall 4350 shows 56482/732976 post 6PM 1610 shows 6737/275133+6019 Cin D3 - overall 4305 shows 29624/729705 .post 6PM 1569 shows 2479/269572 27999.00 +3261 Overall +17033 No words beyond that its just amazing. it actually increased from the crazy day yesterday !!!
  4. Its probably going for 350m domestic with small grosses during holiday period. But we will know after frozen OW.
  5. Good OD for Midway. But its midpoint at both AMC/Cin was insanely early(like 1130AM !!!!). Also its the 1st time I have seen Cinemark finish ahead of AMC(77K to 67K). Other openers bombed and so its time to move on. Joker increased around 140% at AMC and dropped around 29% from last week. Mal 2 increased like 155% and is just off 30% from last week. Great day for them and that is expected with epic bombage of sleep and last christmas.
  6. while F2 cinemark sales are impressive, dont forget the entire sale for the weekend is just 150K tickets. That with child tickets is just 1.2m. AMC is twice as big as Cinemark and Regal is also bigger(656 theaters). That said its still impressive and F2 is locked to have big OW. Just question of how big.
  7. That Sleep number though. Mother of all bombage. I hope Warner Bros fire their marketing dept. They have been abysmal off late. Joker did not succeed bcos of its marketing.
  8. it could be that families are waiting for thanksgiving week. After all there is school during Frozen 2 release. So they would prefer this to be family affair during thanksgiving. I feel Disney should have kept the same spot as last one. Could have made a killing that week.
  9. In New york you dont have Cinemark. its not doing great at major Regal Plexes either. Why would people avoid watching it in Lincoln Square Imax at prime time !!!
  10. That may be a good point but I am surprised by slow sales even at Imax/PLF at some of the busiest theaters in NYC. Joker almost sold out prime time Dolby Prime Imax at Empire 25 but Frozen 2 is still ways to go. So lack of shows is not the issues. I thought may be heavy booking for saturday shows but even 10AM special Dolby event is at 76/225. Good but not at blockbuster level. That said there is still time. if the status quo still there by monday of the release week then I will conclude F2 will not have great previews at NYC.
  11. Last Christmas and Sleep are neck are neck at my woods. At Cin LC is ahead and at AMC Sleep is slightly ahead. Midway is like 50% ahead of them and moving hard. Unless it collapses after OD, I dont see Mdiway miss 20m. How much higher depends on how strong evenings are.
  12. Not much has changed when I checked this morning. Only 67 tickets sold across 35 shows.
  13. Sorry I did not track it all since release and so cannot provide any insight. You need Charlie to provide bo data. Evening for sure. Too many variables this early. I found Midway numbers so astounding I ran it twice. Even plexes did not plan as it has fewer shows than sleep. let me see if they ramp up in the evening. So while I cannot give a number now, I wont be surprised if Midway goes higher than what early numbers say.
  14. Surprise Surprise. Midway is overperforming. Sleep not so good. Last Christmas is catching up to sleep but still not great. Jokah/Mal 2 holding good.
  15. Are you sure it doesn't ? @Shawn can you confirm if Doctor Sleep previews include Early Fandango Screening numbers. It would be bad if it is. Otherwise the preview numbes are exactly what I expected looking at ticket sales.
  16. Frozen 2 (T-14) Cin Prev - 27298/381744 $335807 2380 shows +2234 Cin OD - 41976/733937 $448710 4330 shows +4593 Cin D2 - 50463/732976 $482997 4350 shows +5142 Cin D3 - 26363/729837 $242939 4306 shows +3220 Overall +15189 WOW. its on tear at Cinemark for sure. Weird why its so weak at AMC. Still at just 1500 shows and sadly I am not able to pull the data. I had thought Cinemark would slow down faster than what I am seeing. This is really crazy strong. Barely dropping 13% from yesterday.
  17. So this wont hit Frozen reviews level either. More than % I am looking at average or Metacritic number. But sequels rarely hit the numbers of originals. But this wont have crazy legs for sure. Simple reason is that its a much hyped sequel. So big OW and there will be a drop.
  18. That makes sense. I guess they dont have resources to track hollywood movies.
  19. Yes I know. I am just giving it for reference for people to extrapolate.
  20. Thanks. Boxofficeindia used to provide updates on it(if its accurate) but they have gone silent on the movie. Plus the website is terrible. They dont even have a page for a movie with its BO. Its just a blog with articles and some charts which have little organization. And we are cribbing about BOM. After look at BOI.com BOM looks great 🙂
  21. Mal 2 is flat from yesterday while Joker is down under 4%. Very good day for both of them for sure. Weekly drops are worse. Joker around 40% from last thursdday while Mal 2 dropped 44%. But weekend drops will be below 35% for both.
  22. Anyway how does any of this matter. I can understand all time list. But october record holder is not something worth tracking. @Charlie Jatinder is Joker done in India. What is the final gross?
  23. Is there anyone from Japan here. I dont know Japan starts PS this early. Showtimes are finalized only in the week of release considering its a leggy market. Plus mimiron does not report PS so I dont know how we can get the data. if you have KJ account you should pop this question to @Corpse. Or let us hope he comes into this thread to respond.
  24. Typical reactions. Good but not as good as the original. But the review of the music is promising from BO point of view. They called Into the Unknown "Ear Wormy" 🙂
