Watching big things go boom on a crazy style is something that no other film industry has the budget to make. HEre in Korea there are great great domestic films, but even the blockbusters are made for about 12million dollars. Die hard blows things up as good as anybody so should do pretty well overall.

Not as the actual mastermind main villain, but I would actually quite love to see Vinnie Jones in the sort of stooge role. Big brainless muscle, total opposite of Bond that gets killed about an hour in.

In a weird way Heroes, it was awful for about 3 years and finally got interesting in the final episode or two and then got nixed. Pretty irritating really. Chuck and Angel also should have had one more season in my opinion. There was still a little bit more story left to tell after each finale.

I have seen mention of 5 day openings this week. I know Valentines Day is upon us on Thursday but what is the fifth day? Is Monday a holiday? I always panic when I see the deadlines here as being 16 hours ahead of half the people competing it feels like I have about 5 minutes to plan and research.

It warms the heart of the rest of us to know that we are getting rejected not once but twice.

I got that feeling from watching Date Movie, but it was the tyoe of it's...it's over that you feel when after years of war finally peace has broken out and your suffering is over.

Will we ever see a $1B grossing movie from one territory alone and will America or China get there first? Or Why do movies gross better in the summer? Is it because those movies are the most popular or do the most popular movies go there because its the best time? What gross would one speculate The Avengers would have achieved with say a February release? How would a summer release have affected Titanic or Avatar? How does one go about choosing a release date to maximaise profit/minimise loss and are there classic examples of a studio getting things spot on/totally wrong? I mean if a film is going to bomb, why not let it bomb at a slightly better time of year?

Saw Die Hard yesterday, We booked tickets an hour before and there were only 4 tickets left. (We checked another cinema and they only had 5 left). They were also doing 4D showings. It was New Year though so everything was likely packed out.

Well the most recent estimates + questions may have gained me 5% or so on where I thought I was 2 days ago. So that is a meteoric rise from terrible to pretty bad.

When do players get returns on their investments? IS it daily, weekly or at the end of the films run? Eg if OZ has an opening day of 50M, opening weekend of 150M and a final total of 700M when do we get to start spending that money? And are grosses round to the nearest Million? 100k? Dollar?

If this had been announced in a few weeks time, I could have thrown my hat into the ring as the new legend of BO Survivor and not the total nobody which is my current game playing status.
