  1. A film with a ridiculous and impossible to believe plot that is based on real events. The movie manages to build tension will and it is able to tell a realistic version of the events. Sadly, the film lacks any significant character development and I found myself detached with most of the hostages. If the film had been able to focus itself more on the hostages and on Mendez then it would have been a much better movie. Oh, and the sound is amazing in this movie. B+
  2. Whatever Reviews: Year 5 We're close enough to the deadline that I think we can start reviewing films. I'll try and do a top 25 this year, but for now: start requesting films for me to read. As it is, every film will get a light at the end of the review. This is what it means: Red Light: Don't go to see this movie, it's terrible and there's nothing redeemable about it. Yellow Light: Go see this movie if you have to go to the movie and there's nothing better. It's a movie that has some good things and some bad things. Green Light: A movie definably worth your money, where the good easily excuses the bad. As a warning to new players, I can be harsh. I'm going to tell you the honest truth about what I think about the film you have submitted. Good luck.
  3. They have the ability to both adapt better than anyone but to also ruin better than anyone.I've never seen or read Death Note, but it's usually not a good idea to adapt an episodic series into a film. I'm also not sure there is a large enough audience for a Death Note film. It's large fanbase is still rather niche and the anime films released in America don't do that well.
  4. You know, you can "archive" a conversation (pretty much it sends a copy of the PM to your e-mail) so if you want to keep any important PMs...you can.Anyways, I literally still have some PMs from when the site first opened.
  5. Chicago Fire (NBC)and Beauty and the Beast (CW)have both been given full-season orders
  6. Might I recommend saving CAYOM films on Dropbox from now on?
  7. The only place to do that is the year thread. Also, this being like the hundredth move in the schedule will probably affect the box office since marketing is going to confuse people for when it comes out.
  8. It should have been the Big Bang Theory or Vegas.
  9. By using Carl. Making him witness his mother's death while delivering a baby, then having him shoot her in the head? Powerful stuff.
  10. Yes. She's not trying to sleep with him because she's a LESBIAN.Just kidding (I think). I agree with Numbers.
  11. It's okay. My film is an average drama!
  12. That terrible plotline is only working because she's an amazing actress and is able to sell it.
  13. These mundane episodes are necessary in order to set up the mile-a-minute pace episodes. You have to let the story catch up and the viewers to breathe after all.
  14. I wouldn't have it any other way. Hopefully our characters get SOME happy ending. Also was anyone expecting for Peter to somehow go through the wormhole this episode, thus sending him to the future?
  15. Mind=blown after seeing Friday's episode.
  16. I have no problem with having exclusive rights to IMAX.
  17. I don't think that's fair to movies coming after you two. I'd say Hindenburg has precedence since it was announced first and Red Pyramid originally had a different date.
  18. I just always assumed that IMAX theaters were included in the year's biggest releases theater counts automatically.
  19. Every major company, like Lucasarts, has a board. I'm sure Lucas was the Chairman of the Board when he was making the movies, but yeah.
