  1. Neither MOS or BVS lost money. In fact both brought money back to the studio, even if it was less than expected.Plus, the calls for MOS to make 1B back in the day were kind of unrealistic expectations so of course the film making 650M seemed like a disappointment.IMO, for a reboot of a dated character the return was good. Still none of it falls to Cavill’s shoulders and maybe he was not beloved but he was well liked and one thing audiences seem to agree on...or the majority at least. Is there potential for growth?Definetly. But I firmly believe that people would like to see Cavill’s story continue and not a whole damn show focusing on the CW version of the character.
  2. Actually I think MOS was actually liked and as for BVS and JL...Supes seem to be one of the few aspects that people liked.Plus, it was never Cavill’s fault.
  3. He said that Cavill went to WB with McQuarrie interested to direct MOS and a story that the two of them had already worked on and they turned him down. And if true, Cavill deserved the raise and the executive Credit as he had found a director and worked on the script. What a bunch of shitheads head WB?
  4. This is what happens when you just care about money and not quality .Mockinjay had no reason to be split into two parts and the finale was rushed. It left a bitter taste at the very end...not to mention people had high hopes after how good Catching Fire was. And I find this particular movie unnecessary as well.I mean we all know the bad guys won and years of civilians being murdered followed.
  5. Anyone knows when the popular critics will at least start sharing their thoughts on social media ? I have put my money on a club here... https://forums.boxofficetheory.com/topic/28513-not-so-little-little-women-over-400m-ww/
  6. I have a feeling Phoenix will win it. Not only he deserves it for the performance itself but he has a lot going on for him...long overdue in a career best performance (or st least right up there), he has the audience on his side and the academy definetly can't afford the bad mouthing if he doesn't win etc. Plus, if Joker won't make it to Best Picture then that will be the consolation prize.
  7. According to Forbes, JOKER crossed 992M WW on Tuesday. We will be celebrating on Friday, if not earlier.
  8. In Greece after 5 weeks on top Joker has now fallen to 2nd place,.In fact it only missed repeating for a sixth week for 1.453 admissions.Still Joker sits at 856.000 admissions and has now entered the market’s top 5 films of all time.It should reach 900K admissions.
  9. I do believe that there is an big audience overlap between this and Frozen 2.I think Elsa and Diana are the biggest icons for young girls around the world right now so maybe that wouldn't benefit WW's late legs.
  10. Elizabeth Moss is amazing.I love everything about Hill House, which included Cohen, who was phenomenal and that trailer is great.I didn't even knew this was coming out and now I'm super stoked.
  11. I want to note that, this year I only tracked the presales for Joker and Endgame. There was no indication that this would happen. In fact, Joker didn’t have 1/1000 of the presales Endgame had, which also had far more showings. If anything this had the attention from the Joker and comic book fans in its first week but from then on it just turned to a word of mouth beast. It’s rare and I think the market won’t see another film like this for a long time.
  12. Her work in S8 even with the shit that she was given was phenomenal.Ans Emilia was good thought out.I will agree about the rest...
  13. I think with Clarke we are looking at an Emma Watson type situation. Emma Watson always used to be the most popular among her young HP cast mates and when HP finished she tried to do some indie stuff that she felt passionate about. And while some of them were great and some of them...not so much, Watson still had to go back to a known IP to find her next big success (B&TB).IMO, Clarke is the most beloved actor to come out of GOT but if her desire to do indies won’t go anywhere, and I hate to say this, she will eventually need to resort to one of these huge franchises. Whether Marvel,DC,SW or you name it I think these franchises will always have a place for an actress with Emilia’s following.Thank god, she actually has the acting chops to pull anything off.
  14. The reviews actually don’t read like 48% RT bad.And Emilia gets praise even from the rotten reviews..girl deserved better...but we already know that, don’t we?
  15. For what is worth, it doesn’t seem to me that they have learnt.M6 main issue with FB2 is that it’s an overstuffed movie and spend screen time to characters that literally give nothing to the movie.I don’t give a shit about Jacob’s love life.Leta is a fucking great character but why the fuck to we have to sit through the entire Corvus storyline if ultimately gets nowhere. And what does everything has to do with the Dumbledore/Grindewald showdown?Hell we all know that the film leads to their battle so even Newt seems unnecessary. Right now of all the new characters only Credence KINDA seems that has a connection to the main storyline.
  16. So basically if you want your movie to succeed in UK have a murderous Joaquin Phoenix...
  17. Joker is a fucking force of nature!Unstoppable...300M could happen with this number, total over Aquaman...insane...
  18. I hope so.I love Emilia and I think she can be a great actress if they give her a chance.
  19. Having sold more than 750.000 admissions in Greece, Joker has now entered the all time top 5 in the country. It will probably stay there but there is still a chance it will reach 1M admissions and it's especially great considering that ahead of it are some local classics and Titanic, which sits pretty at the top with 2M admissions.
  20. At this rate the question should be if it will cross the mark before or after Frozen 2.
  21. Actually I have seen some good notices from the recent screenings.Almost every reaction praises the third act, which I guess everyone has predicted by now.
  22. I’m just going to pretend that Netflix produced this to be my birthday gift...trailers was great...
