  1. I never got the feeling that they actually hated each other. Maybe only Drax towards Gamora at the start.
  2. Guardians and Cap are tied for first, really hard for me too pick. Iron Man 3 then Thor 2. Very solid Phase, I scored none under 7/10.
  3. I felt that he didn't take his mum's hand is because kids don't always understand why their parents go away for what ever length of time or reason, so he blamed her. And also for the climax scene. I didn't have a problem with this scene or the opening credits when he's dancing but that's just me. Both were new ways to beginning a Marvel film.
  4. No Victarion :(Sad about Murphy, I liked D&D's statement about it.
  5. I'm still amazed at Iron Man 1's domestic take. No Iron Man-less film in the MCU has opened more than the 98mil it made or made over 300mil. This was also when there was no 3D at all and when the character was quite unknown to general audiences. Also was more than Man Of Steel's gross last year and more than any X-Men. Will be great if Guardians can try to keep up with it.
  6. Quite a large opening for Guardians even after the previews might've taken some business. Bigger than Cap 2, ASM2, Godzilla and about par with Dawn / Apes. Only trails X-Men and T4 in openings. The Dark House, a New Zealand film is holding quite well which is a great sign.
  7. And it won't stop next year, at all.Avengers, Ant-Man, Star Wars, Cinderella, Jungle Book, Tomorrowland, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur...
  8. 1. Avengers: Age of Ultron - 220mil - Will certainly open above 200mil, just how much by. 2. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 - 175mil 3. Star Wars E7 - 150mil - Early reviews and responses are key, people don't want another Phantom Menace 4. Fast 7 - 110mil 5. Bond - 100mil 6. Jurassic World - 90mil 7. Ant-Man - 85mil - 2 Months after AoU will defs help, especially if the trailer that plays before AoU is good and the mid credits scene links to Ant-Man 8. Inside Out - 75mil 9. Minions - 72mil 10. The Good Dinosaur - 70mil
  9. I get what you're saying James. But Thor and Cap came out before Avengers and did make a solid 180mil each. I think now most Marvel films will do more than 200mil+ due to the popularity of the franchise now and great marketing they have. Ant-Man will come out on the heels Avengers: Age of Ultron which will show the Ant-Man trailer before every show. Unless the film is terrible lol.
  10. 1. Avengers: Age of Ultron - 700mil 2. The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part II - 500mil 3. Star Wars Episode VII - 480mil 4. Bond - 320mil 5. Jurassic World - 300mil 6. Fast 7 - 280mil 7. Inside Out - 270mil 8. Ant-Man - 250mil 9. Minions - 240mil 10. Mission Impossible 5 - 230mil
  11. I really liked Amazing Spider-Man 2 even though it had some flaws. The opening scene when Spidey is flying around NY is fantastic, best costume and the 3D effects were great. Garfield and Stone again spark as Peter and Gwen, they are great on screen and you buy their relationship. Her death was sad even though I knew it was coming. Harry + Peter are great too and DeHaan was awesome, just wanted to see a bit more of him. Foxx was good for what he was given, which is probably one of the weakest characters in the film. His action scenes with Spidey were fun though and loved the music in the Times Square scene. What I really liked about this film compared to other CBM's was you see Spidey saving a lot of people, being a Hero. Not just by beating the villain. The scene with the little boy is one of my favourite scenes in CBM's this year. Sony kinda screwed up the movie by wanting to have too many Sinister Six tie ins. It's what also ruined Iron Man 2. Too much future set up hurts the films narrative. I can't wait to get it on disc so I can watch all the deleted scenes. B+
  12. Yeah it has been. I did like S2 a lot but is the weakest of the all the seasons so far.
  13. Thanks I'll post the weekend numbers when I can.
  14. Agreed, 1.5mil should be achieved. 2mil will be harder since that would mean a 1.5mil opening, which is more than X-Men, ASM2, Cap 2 and Guardians might have burnt of some steam with the advanced screening.
  15. Probably not remember all. Didn't go to the cinema much until Cap came out and still need to catch up on a few. 17. Forgot about Expendables there, and that does look like another great weekend. Wonder how much the leak will effect E3 but that's more of next weeks talk. And thanks Empire
  18. I do! You're right, this season has been fantastic. The Earth Queen scene was wow. Always wanted to see an airbending move like that. The Red Lotus fascinate me, all them are great characters and are much better villains than Unalaq. I've had their theme on repeat!
  19. X-Men: 8/10 X2: X-Men United: 9/10 X-Men: The Last Stand: 5/10 X-Men Origins: Wolverine: 6/10 X-Men: First Class: 8.5 /10 The Wolverine: 8/10 X-Men: Days of Future Past: 9/10
  20. Not gonna be bothered with a long post but Guardians was easily the most fun I've had in the cinema this year. Great humour, action, soundtrack and characters. A+
  21. Great numbers from Turtles, I never expected it to this well. Guardians holding great as well, just as expected. Next week will be more interesting imo, how much will Turtles drop and if Guardians can pull a Captain America 2 Third weekend hold.

  23. Let's revive this. I wonder how much Guardians will make this week after the $455,691 gross in advance screenings last week (which I attended, loved the film!).
