  1. Lol I remember when this came out on DVD my parents rented it for me and I thought it was live action. So when it turned out to be animated I was like what the fuck. Still enjoyed it if I remember correctly but was disappointed. I give it a B from what I can recall.
  2. 1. Avengers: Age of Ultron 2. The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies 3. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 4. Big Hero 6 5. Interstellar 6. Gone Girl 7. Birdman 8. Ant-Man 9. The Interview 10. Fast and Furious 7
  3. I get that. First I thought she was just seeing it not actually in that moment. Then the original Lucy reacts to her and I was like wow ok, she is in the past. Also she could've easily stopped all the Korean (I think) drug guys instead of asking the police to do it and going on a little time travel trip, leaving a lot of them to die.
  4. Not what I expected and not really in a good way. I didn't really find it entertaining bar a few scenes like the car chase. Started off strong but the last 10 -15 was subpar and I didn't feel satisfied with the 100% or the time travel sequence. I did like Johansson in the lead and the French cop. It had potential. B-
  5. Started off quite strong and drew me in. Thought it kind of lost it later on, but still an enjoyable Neeson flick, B.
  6. I'd give it a B. Funny at times, quite enjoyable but probably won't watch it again, didn't fully click with me.
  7. Damn you guys get a lot of trailers. I usually get 3 - 4 and the rest of the preshow is like 20 commercial ads.
  8. I'm glad I don't have to suffer dubbed versions. Are there many ones in English but with subs?
  9. Going into this weekend Lucy has made $934,998, GotG is at $3,414,377 and should pass Dawn / Apes and maybe even X-Men in the next few weeks. It still has a lot of 2D and 3D screens. Inbetweeners 2 opens this week and it should do well, R rated comedies have made great money this year. If I Stay also opens and I think it will come in behind Inbetweeners, since it seems to have less interest in pre-sales and less screens but could pick up. Should be a good weekend.
  10. Lucy 27th August, 8.30pm 20% full - not too bad since R16, late show, weekday, 2nd week, my theatre doesn't have best business Mostly positive responses after the film, I heard "Pretty good", "I liked it" and "not bad". I'd give it a 6/10. Trailers: Inbetweeners 2 teaser - no laughs Dracula Untold - nothing The Equalizer - some "that looks decent" The Maze Runner - "Another YA adaption" from one guy Pretty poor trailers, haven't seen any Hobbit, Mockingjay, Interstellar trailers in all the films I've seen this past month.
  11. Oops interpreted that wrong, was too early in the morning for me lol. Took it as Godzilla made more than TASM 2 not Apes. And thanks mike
  12. Yeah that's not even on my first page but there is a DisneyWiki one lower down.
  13. Yeah it was at 54 theatres (in perspective The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opened in a record 98 theatres) so over half of the theatres in NZ. I am surprised it did that much, guess there are a lot of fans out there lol.
  14. Lucy opened to $669,988, a very good number for a R16 film. GotG in second with $396,692 with a total of $3,291,103. The Hundred Foot Journey only dropped 19% to $293,612 and Doctor Who came in at $157,828.
  15. Googled Honey Lemon, should've expected to find this over the comic book character.
  16. Once again great numbers for GotG and Turtles and not so much the new releases.
  17. What a great action film, I'm not usually a fan of bloody films but this one I am. Choreography of the action was fantastic, great work by everyone involved in them. Direction and Camera work were great. Did have some gripes, the story was eh and does get dull at times but the action makes up for it. Thought the final fight, how awesome it was, went on for too long imo. Will watch Raid 2 tonight! 4/5
  18. Won't say anything just in case you guys haven't seen them but just finished watching the last two episodes. Wow. They were amazing.
