  1. Turtles has opened well. I think it should hold on pretty well in the next few weeks. GotG just missing 4.2mil but finally passed Dragon 2. Lucy has done really well, also just missing 2mil this weekend. The Giver opened quite poorly but was expected. (seems like I'm talking to myself lol)
  2. Yeah I agree, though I do remember some scene with blood. I found quite similar to The Wolverine which got a PG-13 rating, similar sexual references, probably had more violence but it just didn't show blood. So it could've been the reproduction scenes that got the R rating and they left some blood in the film.
  3. Avatar in 3D for the first time since 2009. Never going back to 2D for it.
  4. I don't really think it's a problem anymore. Cap 2 made more than Thor 2 overseas and with the acclaim the film got I can see it improving internationally.
  5. http://marvel.com/news/tv/23247/marvel_tv_and_netflix_to_debut_the_cast_of_marvels_daredevil_at_new_york_comic_con Excited Hopefully we get a look at the suit or some footage as well.
  6. I did think it was hilarious. I wouldn't say he made those comments out of jealously but his comments were completely rude and unjust. There was some odd moments in Avenger's cinematography but no way near appalling.
  7. Just watched it again and I kinda thought it was better this time round, not sure why. Also still got nervous when Gwen was falling even though I knew it from when I saw it in cinemas and the comics. Anyone watched it again and changed their mind (better or worse)?
  8. Wow. Less than two months from Book 3's last episodes. Nick really wants to finish Korra. Great thing is that we get it soon. But sucks since it'll end soon
  9. I will answer as my 8 year old self, back in 2002. 1. Spider-Man 2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 3. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 4. Ice Age 5. Spy Kids 2 6. Scooby-Doo 7. Lilo and Stitch 8. Stuart Little 2 Yes, I never saw Star Wars.
  10. Shaun of the Dead - A Hot Fuzz - A The World's End - B+ Scott Pilgrim B
  11. Both were fantastic. I DoFP I liked how they tried to connect it to real life events but I felt it didn't work as well as First Class did it. Also felt that they wasted Dinklage. While he was fine with what they gave him, Trask was meh. Future sentinels were good but past ones were weak and was weird how Magneto controlled them. TWS also is influenced by real life events and acts as a commentary to them, which was great. The action was amazing, some of the best in a superhero film. Villains were better and had the amazing reveal. Acting and story were great in both and also the credits scene left me hyped for their upcoming films! I would give the edge to TWS.
  12. 4mil for GotG! Should pass Dragon 2 next week and passed X-Men. Okay opening Storm, it was never going to do that much. Turtles have done well in advance screenings.
  13. Alien 3 - 6/10 Seven - 9/10 The Game - 7/10 Fight Club - 10/10 Panic Room - 6/10 Zodiac - 10/10 Button - 7/10 The Social Network - 10/10 Dragon Tattoo - 8/10 Love his work, looking forward to Gone Girl so much.
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwwzQvFoVzE Japanese marketing kicking in. They beginning of them are weirdly great, you have to watch.
  15. I don't like it when people call it the "Dark Knight" of the Marvel Studio films since I found it to go back to the first Iron Man's roots. It did have the humour and the huge scale action set pieces (what TDK lacked).
  16. http://vimeo.com/105404677This is the real ending now
  17. Doesn't say that in the article does it? The Telltale game is fantastic and would be great if they do use that.
  18. Only choosing director's who have like 3+ films that I like. James Cameron: Aliens (Avatar when watching in 3D) David Fincher: Zodiac Coen Bros: The Big Lebowski Steven Spielberg: Jurassic Park Alfonso Cuaron: Gravity Brad Bird: The Incredibles Andrew Stanton: WALL-E Martin Scorsese: The Departed Spike Jonze: Her Sam Mendes: Skyfall Ridley Scott: Alien Peter Jackson: LOTR Sam Raimi: Spider-Man 2 Bored now, will continue later
  19. Thursday update. Lucy at 1.5mil and GotG at 3.8mil. Guardians is looking to pass 4mil this weekend and in the process passing X-Men's gross to become the 4th highest grossing film in NZ so far. Into the Storm opens this week along with NZ Horror / Comedy Housebound. I think Lucy and Guardians will be in the 200k range, so Storm should be able to beat that.
  20. Random order bar Emma Stone who is #1 Emma Stone Anna Kendrick Emma Watson Nina Dobrev Fan Bingbing
  21. Yeah I know. Shrek 4, Turbo, Jack the Giant Slayer...not the best track record
  22. I don't go to any film critic sights. I so go to Comingsoon.net so I often read Ed Douglas' reviews and I find that I agree with his reviews a lot.
