It's just fun to watch someone burn hundreds of millions of dollars making the film they want to make.
I can't stand his crime/British films, Sherlock is okay, liked Uncle a lot.
Have you seen how well some of these films do? Lots of them over 50M and made for peanuts. There's a demand for movies like this. Wouldn't happen on any other country in the developed world but god knows America loves their religion.
Early tracking shows interest in this film is higher than Dumbo, so I heard.
Difficult to follow and so boring that I fell asleep. The person behind me tapped me to tell me I was snoring.
James McAvoy performance is quite funny (in a bad way)
One major plot hole, if you kidnapped four hot cheerleaders wearing tiny miniskirts why would you simply leave them there and not do anything with them???
Fyre doc was fantastic. Epitomises everything that I love in documentaries - take a subject I know nothing about, feed me tons of information and insight, and tell it in a thoroughly entertaining way.
@TombRaider I found the source, one of the actors in the film told a newspaper off the cuff, "I'm doing two movies at the moment and the difference is crazy, you know one is two million euro, the other two hundred !"
not exactly an accurate budget number....
thanks for making this thread @Porthos. I didn't know there was another cartoon after Rebels until just now. Will keep an eye out for this if it ever comes to Netflix or something. (who am I kidding, it will be Disney+ exclusive)
plenty of music takes cues from other music. What matters is what you do with it.
Still bothers me to this day that Love & Mercy score was not eligible for awards for that year. what a terrific soundscape atticus ross created.
higher framerate sounds good to me. the hobbit in 48fps did not help that it was so much CGI animation and that it was in 3D. it's a shame that so few filmmakers even try (or are allowed to try) to advance technology in filmmaking, and then when the ones who do - Ang Lee, James Cameron, Peter Jackson, George Lucas - they are met with so much resistance.
this was terrific, such a great surprise. completely swept me away. fantastic music & performances, and concert scenes were just great. everything about this is great.
Top Film.
