  1. I saw it when I was like 8, I don't remember haha
  2. How about Book of Mormon gets a movie and Team America gets a stage play? Although I was joking, I think it'd be interesting to see the stage musical re-adapted to film, like a live-action, more mature, more musical-y version of the original film I guess. I'd love to see more musicals. I absolutely adore them but I've only seen 2 stage musicals, Les Mis (saw for birthday this year) and The Lion King. It's so expensive and I have to go all the way to London, so I very rarely am able to watch them.
  3. Top RT score is Toy Story 2, doesn't make it the best movie of all time.
  4. Definitely, yeah, sounds like fun. How is this thread working? Is it that after you get to #1 you want the second person to do a top 50 countdown, then the third person etc.? The last part was awful but overall it's a great superhero film. I absolutely loved the twist in particular. IM3 is criminally underrated, though I would never put it on top 50 of the past 5 years as I don't think it's that amazing.
  5. No, I live in the UK. I asked my family at dinner if they'd ever heard of someone going to the cinema on Christmas Day and they hadn't, in their 50 years of existence, heard of such a thing. I can't imagine anyone "doing anything" on Christmas tbh, cinema or otherwise. I don't happen to agree, but regardless, how is that a bad thing?
  6. Wait what? Where's Breaking Bad? I like Teletubbies a hell of a lot more than Breaking Bad but I was expecting the latter to win... edit: Iceroll you had me. ty for doing this
  7. Saw Imitation Game a few weeks ago and honestly, I thought it was rubbish. mahna if you don't like the look of any of those movies then don't waste your $25 card, wait until there's a couple of movies that you do want to see, then you can save yourself the $25 you'd have otherwise spent.
  8. Yeah, exactly. I can't remember the last time an oscar in any category was handed to what I feel is a deserving candidate.
  9. This year has had some really good songs, my personal favourites are The Last Goodbye and HTTYD2's song. Though I doubt either will in. Maybe Everything is Awesome shall win. Or the one in the trailer for Selma if that's an original song. Can't be bothered to listen to the Begin Again song lol. says the poster with the Guardians of the Galaxy avatar.
  10. Yep, only reason Crash won was because of the homophobia in the academy. Some voters refused to even watch Brokeback Mountain. It was never a fair fight. As for this year, atm I'm going for Boyhood. That might well change given Selma's upcoming release but right now I don't know for sure, so I'm playing it safe and saying Boyhood will get it. Though I have no doubt Selma will do well, well-received so far and it will look good for them if they give an MLK movie the award.
  11. Yeah, I guess. Though I have literally never known anyone in my entire life to go to the cinema on Christmas Day. Not once...
  12. I don't think I will ever understand why Christmas Day is always so big. I mean who goes to the freaking cinema on Xmas?! I thought you're meant to be with your family and all that.
  13. 800M os is not impossible, though it's far from likely. There's still a chance Finale effect is usually pretty strong OS.
  14. 65 of TVD's 84 points were from me, as I ranked it #1. I would guess there was probably only one other person who even put it on their 100 list (the girl in question knows exactly who she is! ) Also, you can hate it as much as you want, but I bet you've never watched TVD. It's honestly really good.
  15. Holy crap. That's insane. Here in the UK, there's very little interest in Unbroken, I guess it's different in the US then. That 1-day figure could seriously be more than its whole run in my country Well done to both movies.
  16. In the pre-McConaughaissance days I didn't think he was attractive at all tbh. He's definitely hot now though (older men are the best <3)
  17. Got these blu-rays for xmas: All Is Lost Prometheus Dallas Buyers Club Inside Llewyn Davis
  18. Won't be on my top 50. (only because it's been so long that I can't remember it. As I've said before, I don't remember what happens in which Potter film, even though I've read all the books several times over)
  19. I'll definitely do this, will probably have it done in a few days. I really need to watch that. I see two blu-rays for me under the tree atm, maybe that's one of them? If my mum paid any attention to my Amazon Wishlist that is.

  21. That's what I thought at first, but then they had a bunch of private documents leaked and it's pretty clear that it's a serious hack/infiltration.
