  1. Not defensive. Just don't like it when people prefer an inferior actor over one who is clearly more talented. Judging from your comments about "the little guy," you sound immature, hence my question. I read plenty of reviews, and I don't recall such a thing.
  2. Outside of Hunger Games, Liam has starred in nothing but crap. And you can't be serious about him having more chemistry with Jen. The guy is a blank slate. Hutcherson has talent, hence why he nabbed the juicier role and has transcended being "the little guy." Are you twelve years-old?
  3. A lot of people don't look at it that way. All I'm saying is "box office is stupid" is not a my-god-how-silly-and-how-terrible thing to say. In the end, it's just money. I guarantee there are many, many, many major actors who couldn't care less about box office numbers.
  4. Movies with titles as generic as Paranoia will almost always flop. Getaway will suffer the same fate.
  5. That's not the same thing. If he had called movies stupid, then you'd have a point. But he didn't. Many actors are not in it to be a box office king, they're in it to have fun or be an artist.
  6. Watch his speech at the Teen Choice awards and you'll see why he doesn't care about box office. There are more important things. It's actually an amazing speech.
  7. Kick Ass 2 - 17m The Butler - 15m Jobs - 8m
  8. Elysium will top 30mil (not that that's amazing or anything). People put too much stock in early Thursday/midnight numbers.
  9. The opening scene with the painting was a metaphor. 'shakes head.'
  10. Really? I didn't even know there was a trailer out yet.
  11. Avatar 2 will be huge, but that six year gap (maybe even more) will hurt it a bit. Also, I'm hoping Worthington's role is reduced. Considering his career since Avatar, I wouldn't doubt it if it was.
  12. Mad in what way? Mad because it was a pointless tragedy? Or mad because If it's the latter...
  13. Safe House just looked more interesting. The 2 Guns trailers were bland, bland, bland. Also, Denzel's biggest hits are usually when he's playing a bad guy.
  14. Did you watch the same trailer? Cooper and Bale had the only lines.
  15. I don't see how this film is any different from Life of Pi or even Cast Away as far as its mass appeal goes. I think a run similar to the former is in store.
  16. Sorry, but anyone who actually takes the time to complain about "white guilt" is either consciously or subconsciously a racist. I haven't seen it, but how can you possibly say that a film which doesn't take the side of a police officer who shot another man in cold blood (unlike the Trayvon case, there was no "gray area" here) is a "white guilt" movie. Look up the facts. And judging from reviews, the film has nothing to do with race.
