except for avatar, which directed by the same director, never had a movie break titanic's record, they dont make it in term of nominal, let alone adjusted figure
Also, for the seventh weekend in a row (a.k.a. every subsequent weekend since its release eight weeks ago), Universal and Blumhouse's Get Out had the smallest drop within the top ten. This weekend it dipped just 28% for an estimated $2.9 million as its domestic cume now stands at $167.5 million. per mojo
Proud of it, perhaps this is the last week that get out stay in top 10, next week, 5 new wide release will squeeze out the holdover eventhough their opening number won't be any higher too.....
Hope GO still can legs out to $175m in this scale of intense competition
refer back to box office mojo, compare the F6, F7, and F8 for opening, you will know they are wrong...this is even wrong when you realised that F6 had much better ER back in 2013
titanic is an all time miracle, from developed countries to developing countries, from democratic to communist to islamic country,
all people embrace it.......it's the gone with the wind for the world
although it's costume design, but FB is the worst entry of the HP's franchise to me, HP1 and HP7.2 was far more better, in fact HP7.2 should be even nominated for best pic in 2012
and HP1 deserve oscar for its original score
will sony try to drag this movie to $300m?
this movie is funny, domestically near $100m, but dragged to over $100m
internationally suffered the same problem......it's been released in all market, chance to get pass $300m is slim
I believe in adjusted gross, but i do not only believe in adjusted gross, those factor like home media should also be considered.....
You cannot ignore adjusted gross, 1st Star wars earned $307m back in 1977, and give us a huge cultural impact, I doubt that a $307m film today will give us that impactful effect.....
