Still weird to think that AMaTW was more frontloaded in terms of previews to OW than Infinity War (July release played a part I guess). I expect Far From Home to have a very frontloaded OW when that comes around.
Paramount insisted otherwise haha
I'll say this WB either should have committed to Snyder's vision until JL if they were supposedly so confident in giving him free reign over the DCEU or if they wanted to get rid of him after BvS then do it before production started and delay Justice League for a couple of months. They tried to have it both ways and it showed in the final film.
Yeah I don't think WB has too high expectations considering the way they've both budgeted and marketed the film so far. We can expect under Walter Hamada that some DCEU films will be on the lower side of a typical blockbuster budget and therefore not will internally be expected to make as much as a Wonder Woman or Aquaman.
And then Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot pretty much admitted afterwards they were gonna retcon the whole "turning back from humanity" aspect of the character that was presented in BvS.
The people stanning for Alita on BOT are far more reasonable than some of the stuff I've seen on other places on the internet.
Alita was always gonna have a mountain to climb but I never expected it to both get as far as it actually did and also quality wise be actually a pretty good film.
Finally done with my last university assignment for my course. Now in this limbo period of spending more time posting on BOT trying to find a full time job. Though tbh there's somethings I'd like to do before starting full time work.
Well yes let me enjoy the last 18 months of Marvel being No 1 before Avatar swiftly claims the crown and probably will hold it for a long time haha
Though I am actually very much looking forward to the Avatar sequels
I'm disappointed that Alita isn't doing better because I enjoyed the film quite a bit and I would be onboard for a sequel. But yeah the amount the internet has tried to push this film so hard and seeing how it's not really affecting the box office shows that they're not as influential as they would think.
The Cameron Fanboys (do you guys have an official title for your group?) have jumped on the Pokemon train to derail the MCU after Alita failed to do so unfortunately.
Good decision to wait until they were able to stake out a December release date for the sequel. 4 years is a little long but it's good they ain't rushing it plus perhaps this Trench movie will come beforehand to wet the appetite.
RIP to Star Wars films in December though thanks to Disney's dumb decisions lol
I don't think many people here are thinking $600M Domestic (most here are thinking high 300M or low 400M). The $600M guesses are for OS which idk if I agree with personally (still thinking $500M).
I like though in non contact sports how it becomes the battle of strategy and mental strength as much as physical skill. Which is why I love Test Cricket so much and also cause due to my physical attributes I would be trash in most contact sports.....
India already refuses to play Pakistan in bilateral series so only in major tournaments do they play each other. Would be a financial disaster for the World Cup if India pulls out but I don't think they will.
Anyways they're playing Australia today actually so should be exciting
