    Welp can't say I am too surprised but still a shame. Oh well guess I'll let this wet my appetite for the eventual Thor 4. Sidenote I watched the first one for the first time a couple of days ago and it's hilarious and awesome. Love Chris and Tessa but there's no replacing Will Smith.

    Eh not really when it only appeals to one specific demo (who happens to be the most frequent voices on the internet). Aladdin has a much bigger broader appeal and it should have been a $1 Billion hit if Disney had more faith in it.

    I think they know people are already sold on these characters. The target audience already has their tickets it's now about getting the slightly older demo (particularly male) who might have outgrown the first one.

    Not bullish on TLK? Gonna be tight between TROS and Frozen II but I think Frozen II has a big enough advantage OS to be bigger (fingers crossed it does good numbers in China).

    WW DOM best it can get is 3rd IMO unless you're counting on both TLK and TROS to underperform which I guess is possible but highly unlikely.

    Pretty much the same as the first trailer which might hamper repeat viewings of this particular trailer but everything about it looks amazing. Still think it has a decent shot of 3rd or even 2nd highest grossing film of the year.

    Honestly Endgame dailies being behind Infinity War is more a show of how amazing repeat viewings were for Infinity War than a slight on Endgame's legs. I don't really think they could have done a better job with the ending and is reception is definitely positive with of course some vocal detractors. But hey at least it ain't a certain tv finale or a movie finale that has come out recently

    Yeah I had my expectations really low and I was gonna be happy if it was enjoyable as I found Finding Dory and Incredibles 2 (both good but not on par with their originals). Damn it though now my expectations are starting to rise to probably unrealistic levels.

    The arrow necklace (which was first in Winter Soldier I think?)symbolises Nat's friendship with Clint which only happens after he finds her and brings her to SHIELD meaning that unless they re-purpose the meaning of the necklace this film may take place after she already became a SHIELD agent (and doesn't debunk the rumour this film takes place between Civil War and Infinity War).

    So 2019 is basically a bigger version of the dominance Disney had in 2016.

    Jeez AoT keeps dropping revelation after revelation. Probably now become my favourite television show to watch this year.

    Yeah I don't think Illumination is gonna change their ways unless Minions 2 vastly underperforms. But I'd say better for them to invest in quality (yes quality will matter in the long run) original films so you have easy sequels to fall back on as Pixar now has because of the great run they had in the 2000s.

    Yeah just look even at how Aquaman completely embraced the fantastical aspects of the source material and people loved it. Guess Kinberg felt they couldn't after Apocalypse's backlash but that was kinda taking the wrong lessons from that film.

    More adult fare would be a smart move by studios. Yeah you ain't gonna rack up the humongous grosses that a PG-13 tentpole film could potentially get but atm no one other than Universal maybe has big enough franchises to challenge Disney in that department.

    Funny enough the supposed reshot action scenes in the film was the best parts of the film. It does end very abruptly.

    Well Dark Phoenix should have double the WW total so.....yay?

    With Spider-Man they probably could only make that deal if Sony could get Homecoming out ASAP while Marvel is in complete control of when and where the X-Men will come out.

    What's the adjusted for inflation OW for Fant4stic? Don't believe it's too much lower than Dark Phoenix's potential OW.
