The Hobbit movies (similar genre) made less than $20M in Brazil and Mexico.
I don't think this will set the box office on fire unless the game is
huge over there.
Bond territory? Ranging from $400M OS (Casino & Quantum) all the way to $800M (Skyfall).
But yea, this is undeniably a very promising start for Warcraft
Yea, Warcraft is going to surprise everybody. Huge FF7-like pre-sale number from China with some predicting $500M from China alone.
Meanwhile in US, not a peep.....
2016 is already beating 2015 in terms of $300M grossers.
Five (!!!) are already in the can. Dory & Rogue One will
certainly be and that gives us 7 $300M grossers in a single year
- locked. And if Suicide Squad, Life of Pets & ID4-2 break out,
we'll have 10 in a year
I thought the first movie is more inspired by sketches rather than a full screenplay. Some of the jokes felt forced and some are downright unfunny. The DeNiro party is the best bit and the only one that is funny IMO. And I don't want to see Seth Rogen humping a honey like Rose Byrne. "Gluten? What gluten?"
