  1. CM was and is #1 digital Sci-Fi at itunes since a time and actual since 1-2 weeks #1 overall here in Germany (where it got released as digital / HV 2 weeks back, as hard-copy version the day before yesterday) Even if nowadays only getting a small part, DVD sales are also out since yesterday, for CM that means (dom) I'd so wish they'd do ww for digital and hard-disc too (generally speaking)

  5. I am aware you only list what are seemingly the reasons some here give, so do not take this personally comparing those two stories and... = in my POV absolute nonsensical Its like minimizing the 'flesh' / defining parts of a story down to matchstick men and then think they are the same / similar.
  6. Then count yourself lucky for having slipped through. Maybe at those days the mods were too wide spread... Btw, both, doing fake numbers and falsifying a link = never a joke.
  7. I think a falsified link leads to a ban.... Please do not stop. Not only bcs its nice to get as early some feel, I think its a good thing also to learn how little things can be reasons for an impact on early projections and that hopefully more ppl learn the difference to the usual dailies. I fully understand Baumer's reaction too, as the brunt of emotions of big budget / long waited for OWs the mods have to carry. Both points have value (a lot), so maybe we all can in the nicest possible way include some hints like: 'its early projections and as such logically only very rough number, so....' into posts so the less experienced members get reminded repeatedly about 1. there is a difference, and 2. to not get their hopes up or down too early? Also the idea to not add early projection # into the title seems like a good idea too IMHO.

  9. congrats to 6000 likes just $4000 over Charlie's first post / thread starting post
  10. I found two different details, Insidekino Forum (week 19) At that time they already sold at other theatres a lot of tickets = not sure if they presold 100% of the possible amount But: also certain locations of theirs (and Cinestar, belongs to/with them) were under industrial action I do remember to have read about less showtimes and such during AEG first week in those kind of locations
  11. I guess I never did a list here at BOT then before. In the past I wrote some at a site where they simply added up e.g. let's say 10 ppl name 12 Angry Men, than it gets 10 points, 8 ppl list e.g. Casablanca, so that one gets 8 points... the result being the sum of all titles and counts of them Maybe simpler, but still making sense in my POV Not sure if I find time, maybe at the weekend I'll be able to sit down and try 😉
  12. Thank you a lot!!!! I'll have to revisit those a lot I guess Two titles I already found there (but not the one see my earlier description) Notorious (1946) Key Largo (1948)
  13. If I remember it right, CinemaxX was still conferring with Disney for a time and did not start to show A:EG at its release day. = not sure if your post was comparing presales.... and if you compared if it did include CinemaxX or not and so on
  14. - Not sure if that includes only the normal version or also the event thing. I think its possible it got different collection code numbers that have to get combined manually or however. There is a possibility the usual data collecting system did not foresee this situation - also weekdays for a 3hour movie that long into its run wont be good anyway, in the cinemas here it plays it plays only Friday to Sunday as an example - the staggered release and the different versions per country (how often per day, how many days per week, when does the 'thing' even start per country) do not allow the use of any pre-existing calculation model Nothing is sure, lets wait and see before announcing the death of OS
  15. Haha Yeah, B5 is great! I am feeling more for the Rangers. I love e.g. bringing the flower up to the mountain thoughts and such. Can be a danerous mindset with the wrong leader too. Preferring a critical ranger? The quote simply - and without any feel of disrespect - felt strange / wrong / not matching. Age-wise and body height wise (for my age and the region, I am nearly 5'8" I think). Like I worked at the weekends in addition to my other jobs also as a bouncer (yes, a female bouncer), I drove motorcycles and so on. I think my whole life no one called me ever little. I started to follow BO for different reasons, but the time was as Star Wars got released (today known as SW 4). Btw, that ticket then was the first I bought with self-earned money, as the family was strictly against genre movies (based on being cultural high-nosed)
  16. not sure if I understood you correctly, in case its about to compare with AEG, I think they did not start with the release to show the film
  17. I do not care = no problem with that one, at least its no comp./association to someone I abhor. Way too OT
  18. I know, thx a lot! Just in case: That works not always, especially older titles can have alternative titles that do not show up. VHS, DVD,.... sometimes very confusing, I bought more than a handful of movies twice based on that. My main problem is, I do often not know any title, beside being able to tell the film step by step. My brain seemingly does not like titles. Its the same with books: I know the story, but neither the title nor the author's name. I guess its in part based on my face-blindness, as I can not remember faces anyway (plus I was at 18 schools, didn't help then), I never really trained to 'save' names in my childhood. Btw I missed the ranked detail in your first post, that could mean no input by me, as I do not have a ranking 'mind' (beside The Night of the Hunter for special reasons) for me its more groups, like ~ love, like, still enjoy/like but, didn't like but, not like at all All titles on my list are at least still enjoy/like but or better Not sure, its too long ago, I thought grim then planed to do a simple count how many movies get named how often? This version sounds like a ton of work for you, kudos!
  19. That's kind of an insult in my POV, might be a translation thingie aka a misunderstanding, I hope. Change of subject: Anyone beside Captainwonderfully at the Hall H event? I hope for a speedy upload of some clips
  20. Not in all states - just in case In Baden-Württemberg and Bayern summer school start at Monday 29 July (or last school-day is Friday 26 July, not sure about schools that still do school at Saturday). As both states rate rather high on the inhabitant counts per state chart (Baden-Württemberg #3, Bayern #2) it might be of interest / measurable impact in comparison.
  21. That was more about: I am mostly aware about the German titles for older movies (watched them mostly then on TV here in German) I was not sure, like maybe a similar sounding movie might exist that I do not know the English title for. See e.g. The Mark of Zorro ( 2 black & white versions exist) and The Mask of Zorro (1 colour version) Hence the question mark
  22. I am aware. But as I am not a little one since the '60 its a bit strange still. As in, I am way older than Thanos as a character even exists
