  1. Considering she never got the role introduced, never got anything from the director, him usually not even being there for her parts... She was complete left out in the dust, never knew what was even expected, neither what kind of person the character is at the start of her story nor which changes the character will have to go through. Try to work under such conditions in a high quality way. E.g. all what was sassy was based on her alone without any input. Without that, the script for the character would have been literally horrible and IMHO the movie would not have worked, at least never reached the female audience too, and as such by far less successful.
  2. I didn't think it was you, but I think its possible its another alt. You never gave me the impression you'd step down to such kind of behaviour, I never even considered to add you to ignore, you never behaved troll-ish or .... (= the opposite of those who earned their suspension, I hope its clear what I mean)

  4. thanks, that was why I added the ~ before the #1, was to lazy to check that detail, but felt something is wrong. I only used the Blu-Ray of all time list to find fast certain titles as a 'jump point' to their sales details I think children disk are still prone to high numbers, or discs parents want to share with their children (reboots, late new parts to movies out of their childhood... included) I agree, Netflix I guess is one reason for that, but that awareness was I guess as one of many about Netflix, I mean the difference is, this years' MCUs were in the forefront of the Disney+ announcements, like CM being the first to only get there was in a lot of headlines. So if someone picks a pack of discs somewhere, not sure if to pick that one too, some more than usual might decide against it. Just a theory for the moment. I actually like still discs, so for me its also about a bit of a ~ mourning about the 'death' of discs. Some movies are already rather difficult to even get to buy.
  5. Its about 0% to 100% only in the '70 like some formulations here seem to imply And yes, there was a after the war program, that in parts was successful, and in parts, based in my POV mostly on the looming Cold War, was not successful, as the Allies broke with their own rules to get Germany as fast as possible back up to 'functioning'.
  6. its interesting how many of us Germans here love History or even planed to / actually do study it. 😉 I was fully working in technical companies after the school (now working for a school based on an accident that does not allow to do my old profession any-more and other reasons), but the original plan was to either study history or get an apprenticeship as an ~ art glass restaurateur see churches and more (as average archaeology workers were far too many and not paid well). Still love history, son thinks about studying it too (but he has another focus than me). Our holidays are always very history / other cultures orientated, never mass tourisms (what I consider very boring and way too much missed opportunities)
  7. They never allied with someone they considered inferior The moment their allies did not fulfil their roles, see e.g. the mentioned Italians, they took over or ignored the contracts, see Russia, as an example for the difference see how they treated Russian PoW in comparison to western European PoW. All of their behaviour shows that. The world... no, but the UK ruled countries as far as possible, yes. Access to oil... the countries and regions providing that, yes. Regions not helping with providing important to them natural resources or without tactical importance, less likely. India - Japanese ruled, more probable, but it was about Nazis as an alternative ruling to the Brits, Nazis seen as preferable to the Brits see the earlier posts by some of our members from India, not what were the real long term goals of the Nazis. Btw: guess with whom they spoke about needed law changes, legal formulations, even treaty formulations....
  8. I do not doubt ~ #1 of the year, but reaching similar high numbers as the best MCU disc sales. e.g. Avengers 1 (only US, DVD + Blu-Ray, excl renting) Home Market Performance Est. Domestic DVD Sales $118,173,205 Details Est. Domestic Blu-ray Sales $120,527,710 Details Total Est. Domestic Video Sales $238,700,915 same conditions, Avengers 3 Home Market Performance Est. Domestic DVD Sales $22,055,413 Details Est. Domestic Blu-ray Sales $97,267,152 Details Total Est. Domestic Video Sales $119,322,565 Its going downwards in general for discs (but up for digital), as we all know, but I think its possible the Disney+ advertising campaign might speed up the disk downwards path. As high as the BO of A4 got, it might be still higher too, as more people have seen it, as higher might be that part, but I guess e.g. not as high as possible without the Disney+ announcements. Hmmm, centre stage for that was CM, as being the first to get streamed solely there, might get hit harder, we'll see. Btw, Black Panther and CA 3 hailed in more Blu-ray sales per count than Avengers 3, but with the average price for A3 Blu-Ray's being higher, both earned less than A3. See your comment about 4k (and other special editions).
  9. that I doubt in a big way, as they had an entirely other definition of Aryans. the rest in spoiler tags as way too OT
  10. why I pointed out the organised detail is the time behind the numbers. The numbers the Brits caused ww are higher (different countries, even continents), but also more spread out over too many years. If you calculate a possible future out of victims / year (like if they won against e.g UK and take over...) the Nazi would be worse. The Brits wanted continuous money and power and used the worst of the suppressing / occupying methods, the Nazi aimed e.g. for the 'cleaning' of humankind per killing all what was seen substandard. If having won the war, all of the German resources would have been used to focus on / fulfil their goals. That includes to invade even more countries, and more. Btw, what was earlier said, like Germans didn't really realise until the '70 is very much wrong, incl the winners forcing people of complete cities to go and 'visit' the concentration camps and see the many dead and so on. Not all Germans, but those near enough. There was after the war information way earlier, but also a lot of still in office remaining old nazi incl im Bundesgerichtshof, im Bayerischen Rundfunk and other places they were still able to influence. Incl to push out critical people who were installed by the Allied occupation after those gave control back. Arghh, way too OT
  11. I know, its about the POV of a then Nazi. Very narrow minded, very twisted, and so on. Power in such kind of thinking, organisation - the worst possibility for all (Nazi use the term for people of Skandinavia, ~ Germany,... its used acc to race theories out of the 19th century)
  12. we do not have The X-Mas movie here, but a ~ short play that gets aired every year at 31 December later afternoon or early evening = this version, in English, depending on the station with an intro / before explanation in German. Really not needed, as self-explanatory
  13. Agree. I even think the MCUs of this year will take an even bigger downward impact per some details in the announcements for Disney+ (speaking about dom in especial) Only not sure about if SMFFH also will get the same impact, as I guess its not on Disney+ too (or soon)
  14. As Indians aren't Arians, and other reasons, if the had won, they'd have killed more Indians than the Brits. Highly organised mass killings. The diff is the highly organised detail. And I do see the Brits of the past (certain company and...) as similar evil, as they e.g. invented concentration camps, biological warfare, to scalp native Americans and so on. But lets get back to German BO here....

  16. I watched it in the midnight screenings in one of the more expensive cinemas. That was the last midnight thing for me, its many hours to drive, parking space,... for no reactions of ppl I trust beforehand.
  17. I paid 14€ for Avatar in 3D, and something under 12€ for AEG (forgot, between 11.2€ and 11.9€, I have to search for the ticket remains)
  18. If I remember it right, Avatar's average ticket price was roughly 50% over the all year average ticket price here in Germany. One of the reasons today's ticket prices are so similar to it (+/- depending on title) According to your details I guess AEGs av ticket price might end with at max something less than 35% over/higher than the all year av ticket price. Curious to see the final numbers/details 😉
  19. wrong 80% is more than only high depends on in which cinema someone goes at which times of day / which weekday.... how much surplus for e.g. overlength = not clear enough I can say I've paid more for a high quality 3D screening of Avatar (a movie I've seen repeatedly) than for the one time I paid for 3D AEG (as told, I didn't like it, hence why I've seen AEG only once). It was in the same cinema to a similar time of day and so on in my case. edit: per US$ UK was not Europas biggest market btw. Germany (#2) and France (#1) were bigger
  20. its a number provided by ppl with insight into the # that is wrong for at least some countries. Do not confuse average ticket prices with the ticket price a certain movie asked for. Add the split how many 3d tickets were sold per movie (huge difference) and so on
  21. aaaand I did my 2nd ranked list (sure tomorrow it would be another kind of ranking) As I do not watch animated, the list of possible titles was a bit smaller I guess sent a PM have lots of fun

  24. Its funny, I had to really 'work' to even find 13 titles I'd add to a 1999 list. Had to add not only best, but also liked / enjoyable... titles to find as much. That leasd to #1 movie being a 'most loved' title instead to be a 'best' title. I've seen a lot of the movies on other lists here, but do not share the ... reaction to them? 3 movies I still have not seen beside them being on my to watch list, this thread was a good reminder to get in with that. But: I did sent my first ranked list ever, it was way simpler than to decide with a top 100 or so list 😉 edit: sent a PM
  25. How to judge later movies for e.g. their uniqueness / freshness /... if not knowing what came before? How to judge actors abilities, see the different styles.... without knowing where the styles come from, without having seen some of the best performances ever caught on film? How....
