  1. Yes, please! They deserve to be placed very high!
  2. Though I actually didn't say that in my post. Ben Affleck however, is.
  3. Having said that, Justice League is shaping up to be pretty diverse in nature, once you get past the two straight white dudes playing the biggest mammoths in the series.
  4. The Last Airbender had the potential to be the biggest diversity franchise of all time if it hadn't been for whitewashing and Shyamalan.
  5. Guardians of the Galaxy also beat X-Men, Captain America and is likely to finish at #1 for the year! The point is kind of moot. As for BH6, it was WDAS's next following Frozen. Disney Animation could have made a Squirrel Girl film following Frozen and it would've easily crossed 200M! Heck, I actually think a post-Frozen Disney Squirrel Girl would have outgrossed Winter Soldier and Lego Movie since it is more appealing to Disney's core demographic than BH6!
  6. When did we get married for 20 years, Blank?
  7. You should read Neil Gaiman's take on it in his Sandman series. In animation, The Spectacular Spider-Man had a wonderful spin on it by devoting half a season to Peter and his friends rehearsing it as their high school play and then an entire episode was devoted to the Spidey supporting cast acting out the play (with Spider-Man and villains inspired costumes no less!) intercut with scenes of Spidey taking on the Sinister Six. I'll always be grateful to Sony for producing that magical show no matter how much they keep dropping the ball when it comes to big screen live action. We lost it too soon. Btw, Disney did have a Midsummer's animated short with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy playing the roles of the four lovers.
  8. It's weird how this is the second time in a span of 4 months where Wall-E ended up beating my No.1 film (Eternal Sunshine in this list, Aladdin in Iceroll's Top 100 Animated Movies list) with a very narrow margin that could have been avoided if I hadn't included it in my own list.
  9. On my TO SEE list! I usually avoid anime like the plague unless it is truly transcendental like Avatar/Korra or Ghibli. Heard a LOT of great things about Titan though so will watch it soon. Also, please do the GIF thing you did for your Greatest Animated Movies list. LOVED IT!

  11. No, it was spot on. Wyldstyle/Lucy and Valka just had weak shadows of character arcs, nothing more.
  12. Marshmallow went and smashed some pheasants, squirrels and other forest animals for her. There is a reason we don't see those critters in Frozen unlike other Disney Princess films!
  13. Oh ok I didn't know Safety Not Guaranteed was ineligible. I forgot about Lilo & Stitch so including that in my list instead.
  14. 1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2. Attack the Block 3. Inception 4. Donnie Darko 5. Cloud Atlas 6. Children of Men 7. The Hunger Games 8. Lilo & Stitch 9. Hanna 10. K-PAX 11. Paul 24. Treasure Planet 25. Looper The only reason I'm excluding Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is because I consider it as fantasy opposed to sci-fi. And see my previous posts for The Prestige.
  15. Flip-book style promotional anime video for "Baymax" (Japanese release), sweetly depicting the relationship between Hiro and Tadashi/Baymax:
  16. This was never going to be Frozen 2. It will do How To Train Your Dragon numbers, which is GREAT for a non-princess Disney animation!
  17. Musker and Clements. Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. From the same team! I can easily overlook Treasure Planet (which had its moments btw). Cannot wait for Moana. Oh and Jennifer Lee as writer/director is WIN after Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph.
  18. The Tesla con theory: Personally I prefer this as it is more fitting to the movie themes of illusions and misdirection.
