I...I...

I want to see a Nolan Burger King movie now.

""Because he's the king that Burgerland deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll hunt him... because he can take it... because he's not a ruler... he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a Burger King..."

:D :D

Here's the question I'm pondering and maybe somebody can answer this. Is Nolan's relationship with WB or with Legendary Pictures/Entertainment. If they split from WB will Nolan continue with projects with them? Or is the chance for Nolan to get his own production deal through WB?

Both.  As to the second question, it depends on the project I imagine. As for the third question, of course there is a chance. WB loves him right now.

Nolan already has a "first look" deal with WB. Anything Syncopy decides to produce, WB gets a first look at financing and distributing. Nolan is good friends with Thomas Tull from Legendary Pictures, so the split between WB/Legendary could hurt WB's relationship with Nolan. He is also good friends with Alan Horn, who was a high level executive with WB until they fired him last year. He is now chairman at Disney and is in Nolan's ear all the time to jump ship for the Mouse House.

I'm calling it: if Nolan jumps ship to Disney, his first project will be doing a reboot of the POTC franchise.

Thanks redfirebird! That's the info I was looking for.  And I researched and found that the riff between Legendary and WB started with the TDKR. WB wanted them take a smaller cut. Wow that guy Orbinov is such a tool, lol.

He yelled at his boss on the phone when they told him he wouldn't be the new CEO at WB. They fired Horn to make him happy. Thomas Tull is pissed off at Robinov because of all the shenanigans with how they've treated Legendary. Robinov is a complete asshole from everything I've read. It could end up biting them in the ass if Nolan leaves. Plus they lost a great executive in Alan Horn and ended up with a petulant child in his place.

That sounds like a horrible idea. Disney needs an original property to succeed. They need something like Inception instead of John Carter.

Some how Nolan and Disney (in my mind) just doesn't go together.

That would be really ... interesting, to say the least.

That would be a major coup if Horn could get Nolan to make pictures for Disney. The Horn hiring just looks better and better.

Using the powers of strikes and bolds, I hope I have shown you the error of your ways.

Also: Disney has Avengers, it has Star Wars, it has Pixar. Let's not pretend Disney is doing poorly at the moment.
