REVISED Weekend Estimates 6/14--6/16: Man of Steel OW $116.7M($128.7M including WM)

How much theater chain is getting from Weekend numbers?

I heard studios getting larger share of first weekend gross than

typical screening days. This share will drop as the movie plays into

coming weeks. True?

Generally speaking, that's true, but it varies for every major movie and the percentages aren't usually revealed.

So should we LOL at these experts that proclaim this movie made money while the other lost money?

So Wal-Mart bought $12m worth of tickets. Do we have any idea how many they sold?

The only number we know for a fact is that the number was less than 100%.

Anything else is pointless speculation.

Yep less than 100% and more than 0%, that much is known for how much Walmart tickets were sold.

Notfabio theater did 500 tickets for wal mart and 1687 for Midnight

Thanks, that helps. So roughly 30% of the midnight number. That would be roughly $2.7m for Wal-Mart and a preview total of $11.7m. Seems pretty good to me. A lot of people were saying $7mish was more likely.
