I hate where these conversations normally go, but I will say this: I watched TDK the other day for the first time in about 2 and a half years, and was surprised at how much I still liked it. Despite 3rd act issues, I still see it as the one to beat.

Having said that, my three favorite comic book films are The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, and Spider-Man 2. I love all three like they are my faux children.

I love Burton's films for sentimental reasons, but both have episodic scripts and I loathe the Batman characterisation in Returns.
