To be fair, it had to face DOFP in its 2nd weekend and Maleficent in 3rd, but yeah, a 2.25x multiplier is inexcusable. Should have got at least 2.5x.Still, the end results will be pretty respectable. It's just that the run was very frontloaded.

Someone cant  analysis BO...If you notice there are  some powerhouses attacking its legs and unlike  Xmen  Godzilla has not ran a rampage in the  big two yet OS. Xmen would have killed most HPs and Hunger games thanks to its star team up power. And  those films have a built in huge fanbase. Time to use logic, this is not a regular xmen film. Deal with it.  It will easily surpass Spidey OS and thats crazy. Lol

 

 

Expect great things from the big two when Godzilla debuts. You also dare compare  a team up movie running against Godzilla and Malificent and you think those films cant hurt most films.  Put our HP  against and Xmen team up of those proportions or Avengers and see what  happens to HP 's leg.

 

 

Only film that could fight that knd of onslaught is Juggernaut 2. To wit Xmen despite well received is about to get damaged domestically

When you come off Godzilla 98 anything 2.2 and better is respectable.. Look at HP3 falling to the wayside despite the huge BO of Part 1 and 2  OS and domestic.

First week: $132.7M

Second week: $52.2M (-61%)

Third week: $18.4M (-65%)

Fourth week (estimate based on weekend figure): $6.7M (-64%)

 

These decreases are ridiculous (and kinda sad). It will still probably reach $300M because of China and Japan, but $350M seems like a stretch.
