TLK
I noticed earlier this week that female contribution for CF was $15 million less than that for THG and I made a post on one of the threads that this is something to be paid attention to in the week to come. I think pre-thanksgiving weekend caused it to perform differently from THG and it could've broken the 2D OW record with around $180 million if it had opened in March. This is why tracking was a bit off.
Mango
Honestly I'm just fascinated that Catching Fire has seemed to completely bypass the laws of sequels. Not only is it about to outgross the original after it already made a huge sum, it's about to have a considerably better second weekend hold. That is word of mouth and audience expansion like no other.
Heretic
That's such an impressive Friday increase for CF, especially since it performed way above expectations already during the week.

Gokai Red
surprised nobody's talking about the realistic possibility that Katniss takes down Avatar's 2nd highest 2nd weekend I was actually about to mention that. It's a virtual guarantee that this beats Avatar/TDK second weekend correct?
Heretic
65m high end. Because the comparisons of BD2 and DH1 performed that way Time and time again, this franchise has shown that it doesn't just follow trends. It's a trendsetter.Lol, the logic.
Spidey Freak
Me to the haters: Lol I think that is super perfectionist Elsa upset at the thought that she cannot make 30m Friday even though Frozen has more than defied everybody else's expectations! BUT IT'S NOT MY BEST!!!!
iceroll
Lol, the logic. Even after all the objective evidence that we've been presenting showing how CF's run is much more remarkable.
Claire of Themyscira
And RTH said there is a slim chance CF could hit 33 million.

Really happy that the WOM is spreading fast.

Killimano3
although i still don't think it will go that high if this breaks 80 millions second weekend that would be a sub 50% drop for a movie with nearly 160 million OW

Beating TA record for the smallest second weekend drop ever for a film that opened with 120+ million.
The Stingray
I find it rather interesting that the Squaremaster made a 'CF over 450m (and TDKR) club'. I'm assuming he thought it wouldn't actually happen, so it'd be fun too see his reaction if CF beat his precious TDKR.
