The rules are simple.

 

1. Make a list of your favourite/best/whatever directors.

 

2. PM or post here. i don't care.

 

3. if i like your post, then that's the version i have, please poke me somehow if you want to update 

 

4. You don't have to post a full 100 to send in a list. In fact if you don't like 100 directors then only send in as many as you like.

 

Scoring

At least 51 directors listed

#1: 7 points

#2-3: 5 points

#4-10: 4 points

#11-20: 3 points

#21-50: 2 points

#51+: 1 point

 

At least 21 directors listed

#1: 5 points

#2-3: 4 points

#4-10: 3 points

#11-20: 2 points

#21+: 1 point

 

At least 11 directors listed

#1: 4 points

#2-3: 3 points

#4-10: 2 points

#11+: 1 point

 

Less than 11 directors listed

1 point each

 

Tiebreakers

In case of tiebreakers, most #1 votes wins, then most #2, and so on.

 

Unranked

If you don't rank the directors then all listed will get 1 point. So please rank.

 

Tentative deadline of 11:59pm 31st January, but will be extended if not enough lists.

I don't think there's enough sarcasm in the world to tell you how shocked I am about this....

 

Anyway, I'm not sure whether I'm going to do one of these lists if only because there's probably a rather large disconnect between my favourite directors and those I'd consider 'the best'.
