Yeah the time was bad. Late night on Friday or Saturday would have been better.

 

Tomorrow is a holiday. I was out all afternoon/night. Probably many others too.

I'm stoked that the CF OW thread won. Thanks, everyone who voted for it, and a special thanks to k1stpierre (for a minor "no no, I don't really care, at least it'll make 140m OW" meltdown, aDIM (for threatening apocalypse along the NE corridor), and Ed (for his Peyton passion.) And, of course, to all the wildly inaccurate early estimates from THR, Variety, Nikki, and even (gasp) Rth.

Honestly I think these award threads are less active and a bit more dull due to the lack of fishnets.  Love her or hate her, she always had interesting things to say during these events and the threads were much more active when she was around.

I still think that this award seemed so empty because the presenters went over it too quickly. I refreshed the page every few minutes (2-3) and sometimes I would come back to find out that two awards have been presented in such a short time. It also lacked officiality. It seemed like an ordinary award, not the forums official award.

Part of that might have been my fault. I had only one hour and a half to spare on Sunday afternoon so I think we went a bit faster than what was optimal, especially towards the end. Also, due to somewhat short notice, we didn't have write ups for every award like Gopher did last year. Next year, I think whomever hosts will be a bit better prepared.

 

I'm sure the time switch to Sunday afternoon didn't help either, I'm not sure a lot of people were aware it got changed to that time.
